Oh! And I don’t mean to double post, but for those who haven’t seen Beasts of Southern Wild, I HIGHLY recommend it. Very well made movie.

Well I’m glad cyber; I’m just getting used to wishing I mad my choice between stores, or just a permanent switch you Europes. But, to each their own. Missed black Friday. I just bought TFoC full price $60. tired of waiting for a sale I missed lol.

THIS is great prices, we want more like this.

LittleBigPlanet Karting + The Unfinished Swan + The House of the Dead: OVERKILL Extended Cut = FUN, FUN, FUN

Just one question:
Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds Complete Collection have cross buy too?

ResistanceGTA said:

I own all those games, and I feel as though a lot of people in NA own them, so not that worth it. These are smaller games with much smaller price tags. I’ll take getting 3 games for no more than $20 total than 1 game at a “great” sale price that EU has. Just my two cents.

There are 2 movies with the title “Total Recall”. One was released in 1990 and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and the other was released in 2012 and starred Colin Farrell. So which one is part of this sale?

That’s Ratchet and Clank, the original. From the HD collection. That and Jak are there to interest people in getting the whole trilogy after playing the original. Which I can’t recommend highly enough to anyone, some of the finest series on the PS2. Whoever said that they are kid games.. Well, you’ve never lived if you haven’t gone into those universes in your life.

Shadowbhiemes said:

Oh my gosh. I’ve been thinking of LBP Karting and Psychonauts…and for that price, I’d be insane in the membrane not to pick up The Unfinished Swan. Thanks!

Gareth_Extremis said:

I totally respect the people that dig the sale, as I said: to each their own. I personally disappointed, and I can only demonstate my sentiments by closing off the ol’ wallet. My preference is more mature games and that portion of the EU sale was only like 10%. it wouldn’t let me post the 4 PAGES of sales the EU has goin on. Imagine 113 games on sale as opposed to 13… that’s where I’m at.

ps_n_blog_ac said:

Mr. Jeff I have a question and I hope you’ll reply.
I have been downloading videos from the PSN for a long time and I prefer it better than streaming videos online (do to buffering and all that), but sadly in the long run there are problems.
1) Downloading videos requires GB’s and the PS3 is pretty limited depending on which model (I have the 320GB I think)
2) if a video gets deleted you can no longer download it again for free… you have to pay again…
So to avoid this I have purchased a PS certified external hard drive to save my videos but more drawbacks arrive.
The external hard drive
1) doesn’t seem to put the videos in a organize matter or in categories (of choice)
2) backing up only videos

ps_n_blog_ac said:

January 21st, 9:53 am

by any chance will you guys create a cloud storage or external storage for videos. I’m in a situation were I have over 200 videos with maybe $300^money spent on videos and I really want my videos to be saved… also my PS3 seem to be getting old since it’s having a hard time reading disks… I’ll purchase another one but of course the PS4 is on the rise… so please take into consideration about Cloud storage or external storage for videos. If so and money is require to use the service it’s all-good for me. I’m a PS+ costumer and if paying extra to keep my videos safe it’s all good for me.
*Please consider these features for it
1) Organization/ just like i try to organize my comment which allows you to read it easily, please do the same with the videos…. and the download list from the store while you’re at it…
2) saving multiple videos at once
Thanks ;)

I bought LBP Karting for $39 and it was worth every penny! $10 is a steal and everyone who is even remotely interested should pick it up.

I’ll probably snag unfinished swan too. Is there anything else here that I should jump on?

Does Sony not care about the Vita at all? Because it’s REALLY becoming more obvious each week that they really just don’t give damn.

greggysmalls1 said:

January 21st, 10:00 am

I second the vita comments. Sony should really be pulling out all the stops if they want the platform to succeed. I’m not going to buy a vita until I see better support and a price drop (including those ridiculously overpriced memory cards)

WHITE_PR said:

January 21st, 10:04 am

Little Big Planet Karting for 10$ wow!!!! I almost buy it for 40$.

YungShep said:

January 21st, 10:05 am

@130 Its really impossible to believe sony dont care about the vita when they have a blatant advertisement for killzone mercenary at the top of the blog…no game play revealed,no date in stone but yet still being advertised….someone cares to me.

vita just needs to catch fire, the opinion is out on it due to some lackluster AAA titles that should of been a AAA title (cod declassified, burning skies(is fun, but not everyone s cup of tea, but i love it!) lets face it. these were the 2 games everyone looked at as being the savior of the system, and neither delivered like its ps3 counterpart.

they need another big game studio driving the vita. i refuse to believe we wont get a god of war vita, modnation racers(with online play), infamous vita. theres alot of titles that can make the jump to vita.

i just hope E3 is the time we see all of the newer AAA titles.

fingers crossed!

January 21st, 10:07 am

@130 and 133 vita 1st year was greater than ps3s

YungShep said:

January 21st, 10:12 am

@134 oh im not the one worried! i know how great the vita is :)

i own alot of the vita releases that came out last year

unit 13, uncharted:ga, gravity rush, umvc 3, mlb 12, resistance burning skies, jet set radio, lbp vita, madden vita, psasbr, sumoni, mk vita.

i know the possibilities. we need more people to see it themselves

PrimeroIncognito said:

January 21st, 10:26 am

Wow, I can’t believe there are some people whining about a great sale. Oh wait, this is the PS Blog. Nevermind.

They didn’t even have to have a sale! You want a sale, they give you one. Then you complain that they’re not the “right” games. As if they could read your mind.

Sony just can’t win… when they’re dealing with losers.

CZOOM01 said:

January 21st, 10:28 am

Very nice. Will be picking up LBPK and Unfinished Swan.

Maybe even Jet Set Radio Future, not sure I will end up playing it though.

PrimeroIncognito said:

If they would have put Vita games on sale, all the brats would just say, “Sony knows the Vita is dying and they’re just liquidating stock”.

saintaqua said:

January 21st, 10:32 am

The game sales are amazing! I’ll probably go wild tomorrow!

The movie sales are terrible. There is no way I’m paying more for a one time download than I would for a Bluray copy that would probably also come with a dvd to share.

Film companies are so delusional and unrealistic!

CZOOM01 said:

Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds

Is it any good. I remember the old PS games being fun? Anyone recommend this game.

YungShep said:

January 21st, 10:39 am

@140 its great! i bought it last year when it was on sale for 19.99 so im a little upset its much cheaper

CZOOM01 said:

LittleBigPlanet Karting: $10.00
The Unfinished Swan: $3.75
Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds Complete Collection $6.25

Ok thats what I will be buying, decided now. Wow awesome, picking up 3 great games for $20. Now that’s a deal.

Keep up the good work Sony.

Shadowbhiemes said:

January 21st, 10:51 am

@138 You can’t liquidate stock when it doesn’t physically exist :) I would have liked Vita discounts too, but so many of these games like Swan, Nights, Psychonauts, and LBPK are excellent choices (for me, at least) that I have a hard time complaining.
I should add nobody would mind PSP games being added to Vita’s Plus offerings. There’s a whole catalog of nice games right there.

shogun00 said:

January 21st, 10:53 am

Those are some really good deals even for the non-PS+ members. I’m really tempted in getting Nights Into Dreams.

ramdomwolf said:

January 21st, 10:59 am

Those are some winners. These sales are killer and I get to keep the games. THIS. THIS is why I have a PSN+ account. This makes it worth it.

Unfinished Swan

those are must buys.

I already own Psychonauts, on PS2 and PC… tempted to buy it again for $2.50. I’m not sure on R&C since I don’t know which game exactly that is. Are we talking the original PS2 first game? For $4 that’s not bad.. I have been tempted to pick up that collection though. J&D for $2.. i mean crikes, how am I going to resist that. *must remember the Collection*

Jet Set I picked up in an earlier sale so boo-yah to that.

PrimeroIncognito said:

January 21st, 11:00 am

I only said what the brats would likely say. It’s a statement I’ve seen them use before too. I was actually mocking them.

But you know what… now that I think about it, in a way there is stock. The Vita titles are taking up space on servers where other games could go, right? If the Vita was dying, Sony would most likely have a huge sale on those titles before removing them.

Liquidation is all about salvaging as much profit as possible before cutting your losses and moving forward. So, it applies here, technically. It costs money to promote and maintain digital content.

Between Namco’s recent conference and this I am very happy right now, I recommend anyone who hasn’t yet to pick up Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. Amazing series. I’m getting LittleBigPlanet Karting (since I loved the Beta), The Unfinished Swan, Ratchet & Clank HD (Need to try the series), and Psychonauts. All for exactly $20!
