I was really hoping to find Vanquish for free on PS Plus just now…where is it??? :(

@JoeGoodsnake there you can order Sleeping Dogs for 30 online new from Gamestop or buy it in store for 32 new its your choice gas is pretty high. But seeing as you dont have 50 bucks for a year subscription let alone 15 for a 3 month subscription which you should get with your tax money if you are even old enough to pay taxes or even had a job to pay taxes. But you dont have a subscription so I see no room for you to complain about the FREE games you get with plus.Plus is a rental service once your subscription is up you cant use the games. The free games are just one of the perks of plus.So put your money where your mouth is next time before opening it and do a little research.

@401 – Sony is just abysmal at updating at a sensible time.

rahman20k said:

February 19th, 5:32 pm

They might as well do that since promptness is not a priority to them. I hope the same thing is not done with the COD season pass. They delayed nuketown zombies when it came out.

klassymike said:

February 19th, 5:34 pm

They just can’t get the store updating thing down to a fine art. Every week it gets later and later. They need to start at 9 a.m. so we don’t have to wait all friggin day! Get it together Sony!!

herbalsticky said:

February 19th, 5:38 pm

Why does it take so long for the PSN Store to update?

aman258 said:

February 19th, 5:43 pm

where is this store update? otherwise satisfied with content. instant game collection for vita keeps getting better and better. cant wait for press conference!

kaminari2 said:

Nintendo has their store updated at 10am (GMT) every Thursday. I think they’ve been late only 2 times and they even apologized for it.

I think Sony should take a cue from Nintendo and start updating at a regular time. Not whenever they bloody feel like it!!!

Was really hoping to play some Maverick X before I had to go to bed tonight.

AltairBioshokero said:

hey, where is the update? Im sick of waiting…

klassymike said:

February 19th, 6:02 pm

Nintendo and Xbox both update their stores early. Sony needs to get a clue that every one wants an early update. It’s not 6 p.m. everywhere!

FriedAss said:

February 19th, 6:09 pm

They should add in another free game because of their delay!!! LOL.

Sevyne said:

Sony, you are the only ones that do not have a proper set time that you do your update to the store. The other 2 not only do have one, but they very very rarely are late with it too. You on the other hand just update as you please it seems and just fumble around at the last minute instead of having it prepared and ready the day previous so to seemlessly update when you should. How is it that after so many years of maintaining and updating the store you still can’t get it right?

Bergen75 said:

February 19th, 6:23 pm

It doesn’t really matter when you guys update the store, but do us all a favor and don’t treat us like little kids. It’s kind of insulting that you say the store is updated every Tuesday, but it doesn’t happen until late at night. If that’s going to be the case, just say it updates Wednesday. When people hear it updates “Tuesday” they usually expect to be awake when it happens.

It’s silly that it’s not updated at a regular time much earlier in the day, and there’s absolutely no reason why it can’t happen.

PainOfSarrow said:

February 19th, 6:25 pm

very funny Sony. Yall take all damn nightt to update the store.

WoofmanJack said:

February 19th, 6:26 pm

My comments echo what people today, and many other weeks, have been saying. An apology does not signify weakness; it’s just the opposite. It takes some grapes to admit you are wrong or have done wrong.

So, what’s up with late updates and NO notification so as to set expectations!? You either have to be ignorant or you just don’t care. If you care, SHOW IT. Either way, someone should get a pink slip and a parachute *without* gold in it! Unbelievable..

Duffstuff said:

Am I the only one who feels like SONY just throws content at us (what and when) they want to. PS+ needs rules and regulations they need to set a schedule, and set content and stick by those regulations. I’m sick of wondering well will there be and update this week and will we get free content or just discounts. You SONY need to come up with a structure and stick with it not change it at your leisure. QUIT jerking us around and give us structured content at a specific time. everyone has rules and regulations they have to follow and so should PS+.

rahman20k said:

February 19th, 6:35 pm

This is the reason why some people don’t wish to renew. SONY if you keep this up, i will never ever renew again.
On top of this, the games you offer are not even comparable to what EU gets for free.

Gumppie said:

February 19th, 6:39 pm

Just set a time to updates, every week ont the same hour, and notify about delays. We are not kids and it is not free. We pay for it. Have some respect to consumers.

gabesaurus said:

February 19th, 6:42 pm

BROTIP: Make a Plus-exclusive newsletter that warns subscribers when the store has been updated with Plus-related content.

Shouldn’t be that hard to do, or maintain.

Nickjayz said:

February 19th, 6:42 pm

I want you to take my money Sony. Rip off, or no, I am buying Urban Trials. I can only do that though, if you UPDATE your store.

Bergen75 said:

February 19th, 6:43 pm

There wouldn’t be much point to that. The blog is updated when the store is. Notification of updates isn’t the problem people have with the service.

gabesaurus said:

February 19th, 6:43 pm

I’m talking about an e-mail newsletter. Just to make things clear.

Nananita said:

February 19th, 6:43 pm

Just for the record: Could be this possibly the most delayed store update since the servers are online? Like seriously, this is no reward program like the one on Club Nintendo (and they do stick to the schedules) we are paying for this service and we are eager to enjoy our membership/buy some products, so please, get on with the update already!

February 19th, 6:45 pm

Where is the update ps

paragroth said:

February 19th, 6:50 pm

Come on!!!!! I’ve been waiting for this all day long! It’s not so common that you make a good ps+ update but this time i want vanquish! What’s wrong with you!? It’s been long enough!

PrimeroIncognito said:

February 19th, 6:50 pm

@ Nananita

No. I remember two times in the past (one of them was only a few months ago) where the store didn’t update until almost midnight, PST, 3AM Wednesday EST.

It’s OK though. It’s just video games, and it’ll be ready when it’s ready.

Tsupi_Az said:

Not like you didn’t have Prez day off yesterday, this update should have been ready last Friday or over the weekend.
x-tra day off hangovers is not a excuse for late updates. especially without any comment on the boards as to why you cant do your job in a timely manner.

PS Update crashed the PS3, corrupted the data, and deleted all of the saved data. Anyone else have this issue? Playstation Support pretty useless during this 2 hour phone call.

I bet they can help you out better

jeremybristol said:

It’s probably late(r than usual) because, as the guy said, Monday was a company holiday, though I have to say I’m getting a wee bit impatient myself, just because I want to try Urban Trials.

headronefish said:

February 19th, 7:03 pm

Kinda sad that we have to wait a day for something that’s already in the store. How hard would it be to make the thing available ahead of time? It’s not like they have to upload it. And I can’t imagine a heads-up up on when the store will update late requires an awful lot of effort either.

Raieyon said:

February 19th, 7:06 pm

Ok it is now 10:02 pm EST and still no update. Where is it at? It should not be advertised as a release of the 19th only not to be updated. You should not post an update on when and what is coming if you and Sony are not 100% sure of its ability to be released on that date.

TheAznOne420 said:

February 19th, 7:08 pm

Thankfully I’m not gonna resub when my plus expires in a few days. From a overhyped ps plus situation during the summer, horrible selection of games for NA folks last few months, also the delayed store updates which us paying folks are complaining about with no response to them at all, I’m all good with the service.

Also with word on the net saying PS Plus is being shutdown in favor of a new Sony Premium sub ala Xbox Gold which is somewhat mandatory for the new system, I do not see myself paying for PS Plus in the future.

Skiedragon81 said:

February 19th, 7:10 pm

This is just bad business practice for NA. SOJ -updated, SOE-updated, NA- late again. ANd with the what could be the orbis announcement on the horizon is this really time to be incompetent? The day before ur trying to promote your new system? How is this building faith in your brand? ANd btw if the orbis is direct download only- way to kill yourselves, if i want DD only ill get the steambox.

Tsupi_Az said:

February 19th, 7:11 pm

I just did a search under the search function using V-A to find Vanquished and it now comes up as free but the plus section has not updated yet.

Bergen75 said:

February 19th, 7:13 pm

Yes, it’s starting to get updated right now. WAY too late.

texasninja77 said:

February 19th, 7:13 pm

I would be willing to give them a break…technical problems can and will come up (although the store seems to have WAY more then normal). However, the lack of communication as to what the issue is is not acceptable. Even just a “This is the issue, and we are working on it” would help. But at this point, it seems like they will do it when they want to, and we, as the customers, need to work our schedule around their release time.

DingKingDS said:

Where the heck is Vanquish?

eeveesaur said:

February 19th, 7:17 pm

@ PrimeroIncognito Yup. Round 5 or so. My brother was playing LBP 2 and it froze. Had to reset it, all the data was gone except some of the Online DLC Stuff and the User Accounts. Prompted to restore back to the session (?) but forced a format that left some data and deleted other stuff.

Really weird.

LBP2 Disc prompted the PSN Update, took somewhere around 4 hours, and afterwards left us with no internet connection, no data, and a really shaky PS3 that keeps having to be reset.
