  • That’s the best update I’ve seen since I joined.

    Amazing work guys.

    • Glad you like it! There will be more to come through the month as we’ll detail more discounts that we couldn’t talk about just yet. So keep checking back every Monday to see what game is arriving (since we didn’t state the exact dates in March here for games like The Cave, Tekken 6, and Disgaea 3), as well as any discounts for that week.

  • Specs ops. OMG. thanks big time

  • Really awesome update! Definately looking forward to Spec Ops and Disgaea 3.

  • This really is and outstanding update with spec ops. I always wanted to play it after the demo. Thank you. tell the team good one!

  • Morgan

I am speechless today, awesome update

  • Morgan,

The sales promotion for PlayStation Plus with 3 months free, runs through the 4th of March, yet the store is inaccessible. Please add another day, to cover the scheduled maintenance and the customers who can’t purchase the product. I planned on buying this today before the Tuesday store update. This would be false advertising.

Or at least please let me know who to call. Thanks in advance.

    • You should be able to access this promotion, as long as you do it before the PS Store Updates tomorrow. We state 3/4 to ensure that people don’t plan to do it on 3/5 after the PS Store Updates, but you should still have some time after the maintenance to get on this.

  • BEST. MONTH. EVER.

Thanks for validating my reason for renewing through October 2014 yesterday.

  • Good Update. Can’t Wait to get Spec Ops

  • See now THAT s a great lineup. Thank you Morgan!

  • Am I imagining things or has there been less PS3 content since Vita content was introduced? The two formats should have been kept separate. What’s going to happen when the PS4 is released?

  • Great job getting the format to monthly updates instead of weekly announcements, i was hoping to get it done that way for quite a time. Kudos to you.

  • Would like to see a PS+ discount on Gurumin for PSP. Had it on PSP and would like to buy it again at a discount.
I’m worried it’s so niche it will get over looked in the sale decisions but it’s a great game.

  • Definitely not as awesome as Europe, but it’s pretty good.

  • Wait. so what is this tomorrow specifically?

    • Check under the header that states “March 5th Plus Update” Spec Ops, the PS Vita Anniversary Sale, and 20% off Bit Trip Runner2

  • Looking forward to getting The Cave. The demo was really good and had me wanting more.

  • heck yeah disgaea 3

  • If you don’t have spec ops this we’ll be the one of the best weeks of plus. That 6 hour campaign was one of the best shooter storys I’ve ever experienced. Also you can plat it in 15 hours, not an easy one but it can be done.

  • YES Disgaea and Spec Ops (glad I didnt get that on the last steam sale)!!!!

    Take that SCEE!!!

  • So happy with the new update format! Also, great games this month to go with a great sale. Thanks!

  • OMG!!! THAT’s WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!First Vanquish,Then Spec Ops The Line?I think its gonna be an awesome year for ps3…

  • Finally! Something great! :D Thanksss!

  • Spec Ops….i might come back now…

  • Looking forward to Joe Danger 2! Glad I held off on buying in hopes it comes to PS+. Thanks SONY!

The Cave is pretty cool too. Good month.

  • Great job! This is a stellar lineup….. Thank you!

  • if you love RPGs and only have a PS3, stay away from PS+

  • Amazing Update!!!

  • I’m going to definitely get Tekken 6 for psp. II’ve been eyeballing it on PSN for a long time now.

  • Well, people guessed most of these. March is gonna be a great month. Like the new format. Hope you continue the tease on the blog cast right before each month starts, you did pretty good, Morgan. Did the buy 1 year get 3 months over as of now, or when the day is over?

  • Wow this is a great month Morgan. First one for me in a while. And thanks for going back to monthly updates.

  • My mind is officially BLOWN, THANKS SONY….

  • SONY, YOU GET AN ALL ACCESS PASS TO BASED WORLD. THANK YOU BASED SONY.

  • okay, so yes, this is looking very good. i’m happy i know all that will be available even if it’s out of order. all games listed seem very interesting….and i’ve been waiting for a Dokuro discount for a while now–nice!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I’m not really an FPS fan – due in large part to the pseudo-macho gung-ho nature of the things, which is why I’m very intrigued by Spec-Ops: The Line. From what I’ve heard, it’s as much a commentary on the nature of those games as it is part of the genre itself.
Joe Danger 2, The Cave and Disgaea are all games I’ve actually wanted to try, and Tekken is actually my favorite fighting game series, so this is one of those months when every game turns out to be something I actually want.
Will probably pick up Stranger’s Wrath and StreetfighterXTekken in the sale tomorrow, too.
    Great month of freebies!

  • YOU GOT THE JUICE, SONY. YOU GOT THE JUICE.

  • Wow… never knew how much I actually use the word ‘actually’!

  • Hey Sony, do you see how good it looks when the comment section doesn’t have people who are complaining? we are not needy, all what we needed is some respect (by giving us good games) , and you did what we expected you to do, giving us good games.

Since i played the demo i always wanted to try spec ops the line but never got the money, now, you are giving me a chance to try this game, thank you SCEA and keep up the good work.

  • Big update. I am a big fan of shooters. I’ve never played Spec Ops because there were other options on the market. I’ll try it.

  • Please stick to these monthly updates

  • Really excited for this month, especially for Tekken 6 and The Cave. Thanks for trying out movie content as well. Still very much enjoying Music Unlimited at the $12 a year subscription! Look forward to weekly updates, but if you need to choose, monthly is the way to go. Great job, Plus Team!

  • This…this ain’t bad. Might just renew my Plus for this…in fact I will…

  • Oh wow, I feel dumb now that I missed that. Thanks though Morgan.

  • Morgan,

Great update. It’s going to be easy for people to earn that $50+$10 promotion. Some quick thoughts:

    1) I know what the answer will PROBABLY be, but I think you should consider giving people credit for buying a PS Plus membership this past week and adding it to their account. While it’s technically not adding funds, it’s the same principle. You’re getting $50 of our money on the network. Now, to be fair I am biased as I am one of those said individuals but it’s a loophole to consider fixing :)

    2) Yay for a SRPG on Vita. Very happy with that. Now about that RPG on the PS3 ;)

    3) Have you guys considered having a players choice Plus where you ask people to vote on one game that is free to Plus? I know you said that it depends on developers but if you got preapproval of games and had us vote it might ease some frustrations with people having the power of choice.

Doing great as always. Thanks again.

    • 1) Adding Plus DOES count towards the promo “Get $10 For Every $50 Spent” promo =) One 12 month Membership purchased anytime from last week, and through this month = $10 back in April.

      2) I’ve surfaced the recommendation for more RPGs in the Plus PS3 IGC, but there are, of course, several factors on that road. However, the community request has been officially presented and passed along.

      3) Very tough to do, but it’s something I have my eye on.

      Thanks!

  • Absolutely beastly PS3 update, but not particularly happy with the Vita part :(

  • Joe Danger 2 and The Cave?? Dope.

Hey Morgan, I was excited to see Greg Miller post on here recently. What are the chances you can get on over to “Up at Noon” with Greg and talk Playstation Plus?

I would be excited for such a thing.

    • Love Up At Noon, it’s a fine idea, maybe do a sneak peek at April or May’s content on the show might be neat. But then again, I’d probably be super awkward on camera; so it’d either amazing internet entertainment, or terrible internet entertainment.

  • Expect to see a Plus icon on my head by the end of the month because that update is awesome.

  • Man, I just bought Lego Lord of the Rings for $39.99 at brick and mortar store….haven’t opened it yet…. returning for sure!

  • Any chance of giving PS+ members a discount on Vita memory cards? Too much awesome stuff, great job! XD

  • Morgan, can you clarify whether purchasing the one year subscription qualifies you for the spend $50 get $10 back promotion? It is stated on facebook and I believe a few other places this way but seeing that the subscription is just shy of $50, i think it should be clarified once and for all.

    • It counts. Even though it’s $49.99, we’ll take care of the extra penny; so you’d be good to go. So once the PS Store gets out of maintenance today (or anytime through the month of March), hop on it!

  • Awesome! 4 New titles i’ve never tried & more discounts i’ll be looking forward to. Glad i waited on The Cave. Gotta start making some room on my Vita.

Waiting on Runner2’s Demo tomorrow as well. Thanks, Morgan, was nice seeing at podcast too.

  • Best update ever.
