The Show is not Cross Buy, that would have ruled, but if you look around at the usual places for retail games, you can pretty easily find a bundle deal for both, I want to say $80 for both, but I may be off.

This really sucks. A lot. I have been buying all my games digitally for the last 4 or 5 and NO WORD WHAT SO EVER that Tomb Raider was going to be digital so I went and bought a physical copy. 10 hours later, a digital copy of Tomb Raider.
I am never one to complain but a little heads up would have been nice.

@151, you’re absolutely right. As far as you and I, or in other words the consumers, are concerned, there is no justifiable reason for no BC. However, Sony can justify it fine. Greed. Even though they haven’t said so, they probably expect us to re-buy all of our content so that we can play it out of their precious cloud or whatever the heck it is. All I know is that the PS3 and the Vita are my last consoles. I have enough games saved up there to last me until doomsday, so I say no to the PS4, and I encourage others to do the same.
@164, sorry, the correct writting is DRM and it stands for “Digital Rights Management”. Games sometimes use DRM technologies to limit the number of systems th game can be installed on by requiring authentication with an online server. In this case, you have always to be online to play Tomb Raider (even if you will only play the campaign). Also, if you have more than 1 PS3 or account, you won’t be able to play the game on the other for a period of 24 hours. Also you can’t play the game on another account, just on the one you bought.
I totally agree with 169. I too bought the blu-ray version of Tomb Raider because there was no mention of it being a day 1 digital release. I listen to the blogcast to be informed of these things and on top of that when “The Drop” post was made Tomb Raider was not listed as digital and Ray apparently never responds to posts. Playstation why do you make it so hard for your fans to give you money?

Tomb Raider has a DRM. Too bad, I’m too excited to buy it today so, that I can take advantage of the $10 moneyback. But, no. I will not buy it. What if I want to play offline. Bad bad bad decision. I’m so sad today.
If I buy a protection plan for my Vita will that count toward the spend $50 get $10 back deal?
I have a complaint…why does the digital ver of tomb raider get all the dlc when other like the retail copy get only one. In the other store they have all the packs for sale this morning so why psn doesn’t do the same? I feel we are getting the short end of the stick.

I am assuming that is why they did not ever once answer our questions as to if TR would be a Digital Release on PSN, they are giving away the exclusive skins that Gamestop, Best Buy, and WalMart all got.
I would have liked to bought TR digitally for the $10 it would have given me, but I just bought the CE from a retailer instead.
Why was it not stated in ANY post at all that the vita discounts for the first week would be going away this week? I was going to get vita stardust, but with the discount gone before I was able to purchase it today, I will just have to wait.
At least, PLEASE make it more clear/clarify when a post neglects a very important detail like this…

I cant download any of these. There is now download button available. Don’t have wifi at the moment waiting for verizon to replace the router so only the ps3 is connected and my PC and the online store doesnt have any available options either.

Main reason I don’t buy retail games on their release dates on the PSN is because of the Playstation Store’s erratic updates. One week it’ll be up at noon, and the next, it won’t be up until 9pm. And if I’m gonna pay $60 for a brand new game, I’m playing it ASAP. I imagine it sucks for people who pay $60, have the whole day free, and then the store doesn’t update till 6 or 7 or 8, and then you have to wait for it to download…and then to install. Basically, if you’re buying a brand new game on its release date, you’re basically acknowledging that you won’t enjoy it till the following day. And that sucks. For instance, I’ve been playing Tomb Raider since noon. And it is glorious. I hope everyone enjoys it!
if you guys could make it where i can spend money again, well that’d be great. so far Ive only spent 20$ today and thats only on the 1$ you’ve charged every time Ive tried to add funds and been told i cant update my account at this time. ill start buying used games, seriously.

Well, not much for sales for me (no Vita), but WOW, that’s a big drop, particularly for Digital “Full Games” releases. I’ll also be taking advantage of a couple demos (Knytt and Runner2).

Fantastic update! Ill be buying Blazblue for sure. Its such a great yet underrated series. On a completely topic does sony have any plans to implement a system where I can back up my ps vita saves without actually backing up the whole system itself? Perhaps you guys could allow ps plus suscribers to upload their vita saves to the cloud same as the ps3. Not only would it be a nice ps plus benefit but also a very welcome addition to the already great list of services you provide. Just an idea.
