Hi Morgan,
I bought a PS Plus card and redeemed it by March 2nd. I had the error when I tried to redeem it and called CS about it. They said it actually went through, and I had the year plus 3 months on there. The problem is my tranaction history says $0.00 for it instead of $49.99.
I’m worried about it working for the spend 50 get 10 back, since that was one of the deciding factors for me getting one. Can you shed any light on this. The CS guy didn’t seem to sure about it.

I am so glad that I saw this update. I just finished playing The Cave Demo and had a lot of fun with it. I received a $50 PSN gift card earlier this month and still have $35 left to spend. I was planning on spending $15 on The Cave, but now it looks like I can spend it on something else. This update made my day.

Looking forward to trying the Cave out, the demo intrigued me, bit not enough to purchase. Well I too was hoping for Disgaea 3 this week. See this is why I, like many prefered the weekly updates. Now it just feels like one long blueballing while waiting for the game you want, especially with the waiting and not knowing. I would rather be surprised rather than have to deal with anticipation.
@151, the 32GB cards have been on sale numerous times since launch, I got my 32GB for $49 on amazon back in August. It has been on sale many other times since then too around the Internet.
@ #153. Unfortunately if you got a ps+ card it will not count. Reason is the $50 for $10 deal is tracked via your psn walllet. Since the ps+ card doesnt add funds to your psn wallet it doesnt say it spent anything. Honestly they really need to make that apparent. Now if you got a $50 psn card then purchased ps+ in the ps store. That would net you money spent thus it would work for the deal.

I would still like to mention that I want to see the ability to upgrade a secondary account to a master account. Moreover, I noticed that the Twitter app for PS Vita will not narrow down the users you are trying to tweet at as you enter their user name.

I know on PS3, you can go Playstation Network > Account Management > Transaction Management > Transaction History. After that, it’s just a matter of adding up what you’ve spent in March, anything marked “Product Purchase”. Not sure what the Vita equivalent would be.

I already have the cave on another system, and it’s not really the type of game you need more than once, but I’m glad others can play it. Kinda looking forward to Tekken, but I’m more of a DOA guy. Can’t wait until next week for Disgaea too! Thinking about RPGs, it would really be cool if we could get some Hyperdimensional Neptunia on the IGC.

The PS3 uses a standard laptop HDD, you can buy a 500GB HDD for around $50. I’ve heard the PS3 accepts up 1 TB for HDD, I installed a 500 in my 80GB MGS4 PS3 almost 2 years ago, works great.

so i redeemed my playstation all stars character code from god of war: ascention and it let me download Isaac and Zeus but when i installed them and tried to play as Isaac (only reason i wanted the code lol) neither him or Zeus could be found……..is the game receiving an update prior to compatibility?

Make sure you guys actually spend the money you put into your wallet. That is how the it is counted. You can make as many small transactions you want as long as you spend a total of 50, 100, 150, etc. on items in the store.
I think they should just do the updates on Monday and if a game is supposed to come out on Tuesday just restrict access to the download until midnight. That way people will stop complaining about the timing and you will always get midnight releases. It probably wont happen though because they would get a lot of people buying digital versions over physical copies.
*Sigh* I was hoping for something better this week… Lately these releases have been uninteresting. What’s up with these mini games?

I have a question, how often does PS3 retail games rotate? Some of them are there for ages and I think it eats up that spot for new games
question about purchasing playstation plus. If i wanted to purchase another year to get the $10 rebate, but my current subscription isn’t up yet, could i do so? would the additional year start at the end of my current subscription, or would they overlap (thus losing months), or would i not even be able to purchase another year and would just have to wait for the auto-renew?

@that-acmilan-guy It depends on the game. They like to keep the big name staples, like littlebigplanet 2 and infamous 2, to bring in new customers and keep variety. The smaller games don’t last as long. The next full ps3 game will probably replace Vanquish, Darksiders, or Spec Ops.

@Conall-Star You can buy plus now and it will count towards the $10 back promotion. The time will add to what you still have left. But make sure you buy it with money and not from a playstation plus card.

@If they start doing updates on mondays people will complain why they arent doing them in monday mornings then people will complain it is not at midnight at the start of monday then someone will suggest they start doing updates on sundays and so on… they better stick with it as it is always the same day no specific time that way they have no obligation to release anything at a certain time.

No they need to set a specific time EARLY on NEW RELEASE TUESDAY! it’s not new release tuesday night, its NEW RELEASE TUESDAY in the consumer world… sometimes there are time sensitive betas and things people want to take part in or want to be able to download their content before going to work. This 5pm crap is rediculous it might as well be updated wednesday. There is no reason why they cannot do this in a timely manner!

I can get behind a set time, but I don’t see any law that states it needs to be early so that they can cater to your schedule. They changed the update from Thursday to Tuesday so be glad you are getting it on Tuesday now.
