I hope you’re ready for Soul Sacrifice — the demo will be available this afternoon on PSN!
Your first reaction to the demo might be, “Holy moly, this is a LOT of demo!” …And you’d be right! The entire first chapter of the full game is included, all of which is playable with up to three other friends via online or ad-hoc multiplayer. Inafune-san made it a special point for the demo to be quite substantial, as you can read in his comments below:
Soul Sacrifice is a long adventure, with dozens of hours of gameplay. The demo is not only a great way to sample the full experience, but also to let you get a head start on that adventure before the game releases. To that end — this part is important, pay attention! — the save data will carry over to the full game! Not only that, if you do carry over demo save data to the full game, you will receive an exclusive bonus item: “Spirits’ Heart”! It summons a powerful stone golem that will fight for you!
Trying the demo and carrying over your save data is the ONLY way to get “Spirits’ Heart,” so why not give it a shot if you’re already interested in the game?
The Soul Sacrifice demo offers a single player mode AND a multi-player mode. Multi-player can be played via both ad-hoc and online, but please be aware that multi-player and all online features for the demo will be terminated and will no longer be available on April 30th, 2013. After this date, you will still be able to play the demo offline and ad-hoc. Of course, that’s not a problem, since you’ll all be picking up the full game when it launches on April 30th, right? *wink*
Don’t forget to pre-order! Not only do you get three exclusive Magic Offerings and two exclusive costumes, but you’ll also get the Japanese voice-over audio pack for free!

Guys, just do what I do. Subscribe to the playstation twitter account and set it to notify you of any tweets. As soon as the PSN store updates they send out a tweet and I immediately go to the store. It is inconvenient that they don’t update at a certain hour every Tuesday but I I believe this is the less aggravating way of doing it.
On a side note if you guys wanna add me for the Soul Sacrifice demo coop I will be waiting for the store to update and play with you guys!

There are ways around the high price of the memory cards for the Vita. I got my 32gb for $30. I just did online surveys that paid in GameStop gift cards. I got $75 in gift cards and paid $25 plus tax. I got so many games now and my memory card is almost full (around 4gb left)

I’ve been excited for this for a while… very excited to play the demo later. I just wish that Sony would give us a time when it was available, rather then forcing us to constantly check the store.
Furthermore, if you’re going to encourage users to use the PSN store then you should include the preorder bonuses!

I know this game has a pre-order bonus, but will the pre-order bonus be included if you buy the game digitally day 1?
Gravity Rush did something similar. I rather remain digital on my purchases but I’d hate to miss out on the Japanese VAs.
Guys you really need to highlight release dates for consumers.

Oh hells YES! This has got to be the coolest demo I’ve seen thus far.. I know EA does similar types of things when they release demos, but man this is waaay more appealing!

It’s time consuming to say the least. I have so many games on my Vita that I don’t have time to do surveys anymore. Persona 3 & 4 occupy most of my time now and I downloaded Guacamelee last week and I finished it today. I’m debating if I should go for the platinum trophy.

Geez, they make it sound like the they did a lot of work on the demo, but isn’t it just translation and english voice additions. And we also get this demo so late compared to the JP demo release of 1 month in advance. And what is up with EU getting digital pre-order option but no word on US.
@71, I also agree that JP imported games should included dual audio /w subs option. This pre-order exclusive is just bad ‘nickel and dime’ marketing. Makes me feel like they won’t give US digital pre-order so that well have to buy the options after we buy the digital version.

I’m pretty sure you have to be a GameStop client already and complete their surveys when you buy a product to get an invite.
The other one I use is my view surveys.

@Kchow23 (#125) if you come to this page using your vita’s web browser, you can press and hold your finger on the picture, and from there go to save image. Now if you go to the photos app you can set it as your start screen background (when you first turn on your vita), or you can set it for any one of your home screens the same way you would change their color.
Now THIS is service! This is how you draw attention and garner praise! This also shows confidence in your game and in turn will tell us “This is something worth picking up.” Thank you for the substantial demo! Hearing that my demo character and everything will transfer over has convinced me to pre-order. I always loved demos that carry over, because they give the feeling of “early access to your game,” even if it is only a portion. Job well done and I look forward to downloading this the moment it is added to PSN today! Thanks again!

I got ps plus for my birthday in march! Right before the promotion for 1 year + 3 extra months ran out. I’m kinda hoping that Soul Sacrifice becomes a free game for plus users, though I’m not sure I could wait for a year after the game is released.
Regardless of a demo, i am buying this game..looks too damn cool not to buy.
