Lots of comments this week. just wanted to say been playing Demons souls and am blown away. Very old game but very good game. I like ideas from #400 like keep 5 a year just to feel like we are getting more than just an long rental of old games.

Dear Sony,

Why did I get a PS Vita, and Playstation Plus if you keep the same free games all the time, and the only “new” content for vita and + owners is rehashed PSP games?

What a giant waste of money Playstation Plus (as a US sub) and the Vita has proven to be. In over a year, the best game the Vita still has is Uncharted. That’s sad. Maybe Soul Sacrifice will change that, but I doubt it.

Not that i’m complaining about soul calibur for PS+ members, but as pretty much everyone else is saying, why does europe get all the good stuff? They are getting recently released games and really good ones.

Hey Morgan! You & your team should really think this out & stop insulting us by putting nonsense games. We just had about anought with your BS.

Im a little lost as why everyone thinks u.k. games are so much better. Most the games they have are games we have or have had. They are getting hitman but we have yet to be told what we are getting for May. Really seems like a case of the grass is greener on the other side. Seriously, you pay like $4-$6 a month. If you get one good game you would really pay $20 given to you 3 times a year it is money well spent. So far I have been a plus member for 3 months and have found more than 3 games I would pay $20 for. War in the north looks cool though.

Morgan, I hope you read this.
I have a few comments here.
1. Out of the huge catalog of games that the PSP has, the ones I’ve gotten free from PS+ have all been ones that I didn’t like. The PSP has some seriously awesome games that I would much rather like to see than Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny.
2. Why don’t we find out what we are getting for the next month until a couple days before the next month? Just this month EU found out what they are getting for PS+ LAST WEEK, and we’ll probably have to wait until NEXT WEEK here.
3. I’d like to make a couple suggestions for the US IGC:
PS3: Arkham City, Deus Ex, any of the Need for Speed games, Dante’s Inferno
PSP: Daxter, MGS: Portable Ops, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters
PSV: Asphalt: Injection, Sound Shapes, any of the Lego games.

I sincerely hope you have read all of this Morgan, and I don’t know who picks the games, but they need to stop drinking on the job.
Thank you for your time.

I’d like to add to my above comment by saying that the PS3 games are actually pretty good. Just got around to downloading Spec Ops the other night, and it’s fantastic. Thank you for that game, and several others I’ve gotten over the last 9 months being a subscriber.

You asked about what we thought about PSP games vrs PS vita game, saying right now it is 50/50.

I personally have no interest in PSP games (or PSx games)

Hate to say it, but if it doesn’t have trophies, I will never play it.

NFLPA said:

April 23rd, 7:12 pm

totally agree with comment #406 & 407.

bobarue said:

#408 or anyone that can answer, whats the deal with trophies? Do they earn anything. I know the 90’s and on babies love trophies and all but do they actually get you anything?

BEWARE: I “believe” if you buy or have Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition you don’t need to buy Desperate Escape or Lost in Nightmares add-ons because they are included. That’s what makes it the Gold Edition. It gets confusing. I already had RE5 GE from PS+ a few months ago, gonna buy RE1, 2, 3, 4, and 6. Anyone like Raccoon City, Umbrella, Veronica X or any of those? Not worth it?

I don’t want to sound mean but PS Plus is getting bad updates lately, this being the worst ever. EU is getting way better games.

A really late comment I know, but I downloaded Soul Caliber to check it out last night and played it for about half and hour or so. I thought it might be ok, but to be honest I didn’t find it very fun and I thought the PSP graphics didn’t hold up too well. Even the inclusion of Kratos as a character seemed a little forced and he wasn’t very fun to play as. They added too many quips for him to yell during battle, which was pretty cheesy. Also there isn’t really a good single player mode that I could find.

After playing that I went back to try Tekken 6 PSP again that we got last month and I think it holds up much better than Soul Caliber. The graphics on Tekken look very good – almost like it was made for the Vita. The menu graphics are a little fuzzy, but gameplay looked great. The control scheme on Tekken is good too because it only uses the 4 face buttons, so it seems a little easier to learn combos or even to button mash your way to victory. I could see myself returning to this game in the future.

I’m still not into fighters so much, but I’d suggest if you only want one of the recent PSP fighters taking up space on your Vita, then Tekken 6 is the way to go.

Seriously, all kidding aside, this week’s update sucked. Really.

You want to push Vita sales, which have been horrendous so far, but don’t offer any content for it? Really?

Bad decision making, Sony.

why is ‘Thomas Alone’ only discounted %20 for the US but is free at launch for the EU? usually the discrepancies between the US and EU PS+ landscape are debatable and matters of personal taste, but this is blatant. some transparency around why (at least in this indisputable case) the EU PS+ deals are better would be greatly appreciated.

I think when it comes to recent ps plus, Us got the shaft.

Europe gets so many good titles like Catherine, Sleeping dogs, and Hitman, and we get a bunch of crappy fighters that i didn’t want when they were new, much less now that they’re like over 3 years old.

Ps plus needs to sack up or i definitely won’t be renewing anytime soon.

i have a question i see that demons soul is free for the psplus why i cant see it in the europe store i make a US accound to chek it out and i am shockt becouse in the us store its for free if u have plus AND IN THE EUROPE STORE ITS FOR 19.99 EURO AND I HAVE PLUS FOR WHAT ?? FOR THOMAS IS ALONE??? THIS IS UNFAIR.

Why does Europe gets good PS3 games for free and all we have is Tekken 6, Broken Destiny, Labyrinth Legends, Plants v Zombies…. Seriously, do something. I really feel crossed.

SergioCosmopolis said:

April 24th, 1:39 pm

Nine pages so far of people stating their negative opinion of Plus lately compared to Europe’s and asking why and no response. I guess if I’m going to be cheated I might as well be neglected too.
Seriously, Sony needs to hire not only someone who cares about its customers but someone who’s in touch with them and can make informed choices as to what they’d like. Move whoever is doing it now to archiving or something. They seem to know a lot about old games that need to be shelved away.

DeathbyStereo197 said:

@24’s reply You cannot compare games like Demon Souls and Spec Ops The Line to games like Arkham City and Hitman Absolution. Though both games are good, and were appreciated on the PS PLUS line up, Arkham City was Game of the Year on many of video game web sites and reviewer lists. Hitman Absolution is a game that is less than 6mo old, and still bought for at least 49.99 new. I have not received a game from PS Plus that was on this caliber since I joined PS Plus when it first came out. I was one of the first adopters and first defenders of PS Plus, and though I still love the service, I question its value since those in the EU are getting games so much better than the ones that we have received. I will continue to be a member, if only to support the system that I love so much, and I also know that the second that I stop my membership will be the second you guys give out a brand new game or something lol, so, these are just my thoughts, take em or leave em.

For those who didn’t get their $10 back from the spend $50 promotion, I just got some new information from $ony Play$tation. There was an issue sending out the e-mail to some accounts and they’ve extended the on or before date to May 1st (not April 12). And therefore we should receive the credit by e-mail and XMB by May 1st.

You can all thank $ony for their communication with us to let us know about the issue – joke.

I like how the reps who posted the promotion just keep silent about the issue and couldn’t figure out the reason before I (a customer) had to research and resolve the issue myself. All for a freaking $10 credit that I don’t really care about. But I do care about a money hungry company like $ony keeping all that profit for themself. Yea, I know I’m ranting, but seriously screw you $ony for not updating us on the issue and making me have to find out myself.

This was all your fault. #epicfail

This is my last month on PlayStation Plus. I’m not going to pay for it again.
I’ve paid for my past three renewals and talked on the phone with customer support about how they’re being quite handheld heavy with their Plus releases. Just how many customers does Sony think own every Sony console that they have released in this generation of gaming? They need to split the PS Plus network perks.

I for one don’t even own the Vita or the PSP. For the past three renewals I’ve been subjected to majority handheld releases for having paid Sony for Plus content. Honestly, Sony should just do an equal amount of PSP, Vita, and PS3 releases, and for the sake of it all, at least give us quality PS3 games every month.

The only two ‘Rental’ (Free as long as you’re a Plus member) games I’ve actually been somewhat thrilled about on the Plus store these past three subscriptions has been:

Retro City Rampage and Demon’s Souls.

Too bad that I have to wait before I get a new HDD for my PS3. I used the browser and it froze my PS3. When I switched it off, it corrupted my PS3 HDD. When my HDD will come from Hong Kong, the PS plus fun will start all over again. Banzai! Banzai! Banzai!

PS+ rules. I’ll subscribe again for sure.

More often than not, I have to agree with the majority of users that the EU gets a much better deal than us.
In this case I think I everyone just wants to believe that grass is greener on the other side. Sure this week’s update isn’t that great but we still have a vita game being offered next week and had other great games offered this month. I can understand why this month’s offerings may be a bit disappointing if you don’t challenging games.

I would have never played Labyrinth Legends or Malcious, or even known they existed, if they weren’t offered on psn+.

Keep offering good games and fewer fighters please. Seriously, why are there so many fighters?

Hey I just have a question, do you know if “The Lord of the Rings: War in the North” will be free for ps+ members any time soon? The thing is that I live in Europe but i have a friend who lives in the US and bought the 3 month membership to be able to play War in the North with me, only to realize a day later that it was only free in Europe.

What an absolutely HORRID game. What happened to a NEWER version of the older style when you just quested through a map and fought people as you went WITHOUT the game telling you what to do? Glad I got it free. Then deleted it 2 hours later… (-_-) *shaking head**

This whole releasing a bunch of hand held games and leaving the same ps3 games on the playstation plus is getting pretty dumb. I understand people enjoy there handhelds but last time I checked without the ps3 you guys would be kicking rocks as far as the amount of fans and games you’ve been able to acquire. So quit all this nonsense with the hand held junk and actually do an update for your playstation plus members who want what they paid for…

I’ve been a +Plus Member from the start of the program. I’ve been very happy with the service offered although I have noticed that a couple years ago the themes and avatars were a common discount or freebie to +Plus members and sadly not anymore?
The discounts available in these catagories for PLUS have been unchanged for a Very long time I’d love a universal discount or at least 1-2 free a week again. I cant imagine this being nearly as difficult addition compared to the game schedule. It was always a nice bonus, I love me a dynamic theme.
Here’s hoping……….

I remember back when Sony didn’t need little things like hand helds to make a dollar it used to be about the quality of the games for your consoles and the products themselves. (That’s why companies like square enix only put there games out on Sony consoles) Why don’t you go back to your roots and show some love to those that help keep you guys a float all these years and release some things worth it for the PS3. Even Europe is getting more love then your PS3 gamers in America. Just seems uneven in a lot of different circumstances.
