The Drop: Week of May 13th 2013 New Releases

It is the year 2034. Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside – and within.

Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above. But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the ultimate power, a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6. A civil war is stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever. As Artyom, burdened by guilt but driven by hope, you hold the key to our survival – the last light in our darkest hour in Metro: Last Light on PSN and PS3 Blu-ray. Enjoy this week’s The Drop.

Star Wars Pinball

Star Wars Pinball (PS3/PS Vita) — Star Wars Pinball is a collection of tables developed with authentic Star Wars moments. Each table features a different iconic moment from the Star Wars universe, with interactive 3D characters, and unique gameplay.

Adding even more features to the Star Wars Pinball experience, this stand-alone version allows you to choose to support the Galactic Empire or the Rebel Alliance with your high scores as the Star Wars Pinball community fights for the Balance of the Force! An experience point progression system lets players move up the ranks based on Galactic Empire or Rebel Alliance support. By developing cities and armies, and annexing new territories, the player gradually expands his power over the world! But Tiny Token Empires is also a “casual” strategy game that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It contains a crazy comical universe: goofball gods, super cute mythological monsters, clown legionnaires, and much more.

ManhuntPlayStation 2 Classic

Guided only by the whispers of a man named “The Director” through his earpiece, Cash must find whatever he can to survive the night.

Players must make strategic choices as to which weapons to use, ranging from silent and stealthy to loud and destructive. Everyday items may be the key to your survival, as plastic bags become instruments of strangulation, and shards of glass your defensive weapons. Escape the nightmare that is Carcer City and maybe you’ll learn the identity of the mysterious “Director”.

  • Cool, Manhunt

  • When is Capcom Fighting Evolution (aka Capcom Fighting Jam) coming to the PSN? Capcom said that Sony has already approved it.

  • I don’t understand why you guys don’t post DLC in these posts.

I was looking forward to hearing about the Sound Shapes DLC

  • Pretty decent drop. Was not expecting Metro Last Light at all. Manhunt is a very nice addition to the classics & Resident Evil Revelations demo is gotta be my highlight for this drop. Will definitely try it out.

  • Crash and Spyro for PS Vita!

  • @5

Same for me. Can someone explain to me why Crash aren’t available for PS Vita?

  • Wasn’t expecting Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery I will pick up that game up and maybe Rune Factory.

  • I already have Revelations on 3DS, but I am curious to see what the port is like.

  • I always wanted to play manhunt :)

  • @6 I guess they will wait like for august and then say “Hey guys its PS Vita PS1 compability update anniversary! here you go Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon titles” , which would mean it took a YEAR to make it compatable! not even mention that EU customers got them from DAY 1, and considering we are 99% have same version of PS1 emulator, means there was not even a attempt to bring it to US customers.

  • Any chance of Velocity Ultra making it onto the list before Tuesday?

  • Dust 514 free to play but a typical First person shooter. oh man how i hateee first person view shooters. im not surprised its in that view…. ManHunt ohhh yesss i remember playing that at a youngstaaa.

  • cool Manhunt. Heard The Warriors might hit PS2 classics one day as well & I can’t wait for that one. I loved that game.

  • xFuzylilManPeach

    DUST!!!! Cant wait :D

  • With the exception of Manhunt and Star Wars, not much there for me. Since I already have the first three Star Wars tables and I don’t absolutely have to have Manhunt this week, it will be another money-saver, which is just fine with me.

  • naruto_uzamaki_8

Resident Evil Revelations sweet cant wait for this update

  • DanteTorobolino

    Rogue Galaxy PS2 Classic

  • @3: If I remember correctly, I read at Sound Shapes’ Twitter that the DLCs are indeed coming this tuesday!

  • What! No Spyro or Crash Bandicoot PS1 classics for vita yet? What about more compatible PSP titles for PSVITA?

  • Oooh goody, just what we need are more crappy FPS!

    pewpewpewpewpewpewpewpewpew

why do they make FPS? They’re all the same shallow experiences and they suck. FPS have really ruined the video game industry. You guys aren’t bored of these tedious boring games yet?

  • I was looking through the store saw Sanctum 2 listed never heard of it so looked it up and it said it was releasing the 15th, but obviously its not listed here. Will it release next week?

  • Crash is one of the most popular PsOne games on the store, why is Dora getting compatibility on the Vita but not Crash? PLEASE JUST PUT THE CRASH BANDICOOT GAMES ON THE VITA PSN STORE!!!!

  • I’m pretty excited for the Resident Evil Revelations demo

  • Wasn’t expecting Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery to be out this soon, they’re haven’t been any gameplay video for it, may wait for a review b4 picking it up, but will pick up manhunt.

  • Was going to purchase Manhunt but I’m assuming it’s going to be $10 and Amazon is having a sale right now for the digital version for $5 and since it’s a older title pretty much any PC in the last 7 years can run it.

I’m stoked for The Warriors release though and am hoping Metro doesn’t suck.

  • come on, we want some dynasty warriors and samurai warriors! tell tecmo koei america to get it together or something.

  • BossmanCCrowder1

Metro Last Light… its finally here!!!!

  • YES!!! MAG2 is coming out on 5/14 HELL YAY!!!

  • DecadanceFantasy

I’m surprised about Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny. Surprised in a good way. I have been wanting to play it so maybe one day.

  • phillyphanatic92

Will definitely check out the Revelations demo and compare it with the 3DS and Wii U versions. I don’t have a Vita yet, but it sucks people still can’t play Crash or Spyro. I’m assuming there are some licensing issues.

  • Crash Team Racing for Vita. All Crash’s games and Spyro too.

  • I saw on the Dev Facebook for Sanctum 2 that it was out this week. Has it been moved back or does it release this week?

  • The developers purposely took out the hardcore Ranger Mode out of Metro Last Light. If you buy the game new at retailers at full price you don’t get it and you have to pay an extra 5 dollars for a hard mode with better AI. If I buy it on PSN will it include Ranger Mode or do I have to pony up an extra 5 dollars just to get the hard mode that should already be in the game like it was in the original Metro 2033?

  • Manhunt is good and I’ve excited for the new Metro. Does anyone know whats gonna be added for the IGC. I want pinball arcade as soon as possible so I can buy the twilight zone table.

  • Crash and Spyro aren’t owned by Sony, I think sony still has the rights for publishing the first 3 crash’s but to me I think Activision at this point has alot of say in both franchises. So I think Activision would be the best people to ask about this, now that they own both IPs

  • @veryhoudini11

I think Knytt Underground will be the next freebie or Germinator.

  • scratch that last comment. im pretty sure sony has publishing rights for the first three spyros and first three crash. sony even put crash on their sony ericson xperia cell phone, that has the dual shock style controllers as a slide out insted of a keyboard. that smartphone comes with crash… so im not too sure what the issue is but if anything due to the popularity of both franchises its probably is still something to do with activision or getting devs to make it compatible with ps vita. either way it would be really smart to put it on vita, weren’t those two franchises the most popular games on psOne if im not mistaken?

  • Waiting for the Resident Evil Revelations Demo!!

  • No Crash on Vita
    No Spyro on Vita
    No FFV on Vita
No Crackle on Vita (suppose to come summer 2012)
No Crunchyroll on Vita. (suppose to come by the end of 2012)
No Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault on Vita (half a year later and I’m still waiting and I bought the ps3 version for no reason cause i only want it to play on my vita)
The list of things I just named are things way overdue for Vita. What is really going on. *smh*

  • I really want to know more about Jacob Jones & the Bigfoot Mystery. I can’t believe they haven’t released a better trailer yet. I’d like to get an idea of how much story there is to it, and if it’s an explorable world.

  • RE: Revelations demo for me.

  • Though I am sick of seeing the weekly, “Crash/Spryo on Vita?” weekly posts, I really have to agree with these guys.

It’s obvious this will NEVER happen, but I think you should give us a reason….I.E.:
“Sony really doesn’t care what you want…Take a hike!”
“Sony is planning to sell a Crash Bandicoot Trilogy Vita game and giving it away for free makes no sense!”
“Sony is having trouble obtaining the licensing from Universal*”
*I think that’s who owns the current IP.

Then people can at least accept this and move on.

When you think about it, Crash Bandicoot is the Mario of the PlayStation. Can you imagine if Nintendo released tons of Virtual Console games for the Wii, but neglected to release a single Super Mario Bros. NES game on it. People would be a tad angry.

    Just my 2 cents.

  • Star Wars Pinball (PS3/PS Vita) Stand alone version…

What?! So the $9.99 pack is now worthless and I have to buy it again to play the extra modes?
Please give us more info when releasing this type of thing. All it does is anger/confuse the people who already shelled out money for it and people who didn’t probably don’t care to buy the new version either.

I hope Zen Pinball is not getting greedy so soon. I was just starting to like them.

  • Dear, Sony

Ya’ll are some big fat LIARS, and i’m not tring to be a jerk but its true. Where is the HULU and CRACKLE apps you promised for the VITA. Where is the freinds app and Imagineinstruments app you promised? What happened with BIOSHOCK for the VITA? Where is the Ratchet and Crank Full Frontal assualt? Its a shame that Sony is making its own Console fail, by lying to its own customers!

  • Patiently awaiting an update on the release of Velocity Ultra.

  • @46, did you actually read the paragraph?? If you already have Star Wars for ZP 2, you will get the standalone version for free. It doesn’t cost extra.

  • Metro Last Light?

    will check that out
