PlayStation Plus Update: BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend Free For Members

Hey PlayStation Plus fans, the first thing you might notice this week is the notable lack of Morgan in this post. Not to worry, he’s taking a quick break as we ramp up to E3, and I’ll be trying to fill his shoes in the meantime. With that sorted, on to the content!

We have two Timed Themes this week that Plus members will want to check out. Vita fans need to also be sure to pick up BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend for free. Beyond that PlayStation Plus members are getting a handful of discounts for PS Vita and PS3 games. Check out the details below!

  • NO MORE FIGHTING GAMES!!Plz!!,a musical game may be better

  • KanakanaKo_Exia

I agree, no more fighting games, please.
BUT I am very thankful for Blazblue! I love the story and the game itself. One of the few that has a REAL story to tell.
I am doing my 4rth run of the story mode and I am LOVING it!

One of the best US dubbed JPN game available as well. Aksys games, though some have not perfect, did a very good translation of this game.

  • blazblue- i think i just puked a little.

  • AWESOME

  • what’s up with the poll not including the “nothing for me this week” option this time??

I really hope us US Plus owners are not gonna get screwed over next month with such awesome additions to the EU side like Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (Full Game + DLC), ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection & Rayman Origins (Full Game) and we’ll get at least SOME of those games coming our way in June!!

  • have any idea when will be the next udapte?, glad for psv users, Blazblue looks good… im excited to see what ps+ will bring us in the next udapte (to ps3). in my personal opinion i would like to see a racing game, or a fps… but everything u gonna give us will be perfectly received.
PD: dont let the ps+ users get lack of content, i always have seen the EU store, have better instant collection (in my opinion), anyway thanks for all. still excited to the next udapte :3

  • I enjoyed playing BlazeBlue and I think a lot of people who don’t already own it should give it a chance, but I have to agree with some individuals in the comment section. There have been too many fighting games being released on PS+ and there needs to be a change up. I know Vita games are few in numbers, but putting a great PSP game that works with the Vita wouldn’t be a bad thing either. I feel like Europe gets the better deal when it comes to PS+. We pay around the same amount for the service so why not get the same service?

  • Hey, noticed that Europe got Catherine. Is America going to get that lucky too?

  • Hey @Paul Sullivan. The Plus of Europe is much better for vita owners than the EUA PLUS. First they had MGS HD Collection and now (in June) Rayman Origins. PLEASE give us some nice games too. :)

  • Im thinking of converting my account to an Eu account can it be done ? Can I keep the IGC games I have?

  • @Paul Sullivan, When will the new additions to the Instant Collection for this month be announced? Thanks

  • Can’t convert unfortunately.. Would’ve loved to have myself..

  • Spartansolidsnak

Hi paul nice month! I’ve never done this before because I don’t know how you guys pick the gams for the IGC but… here are a few recomendations for the upcoming months: 1) The Ico and Shadow of the colossus HD collection 2) Catherine
( I already Own Shadow of the colossus but its a Beautiful game and I want that more people play it.

  • Can’t wait for June plus update…….

  • Keep the fighting games coming! I’ve been incredibly happy with playstation plus so far. If any of the other games were free, Blazblue would still win the poll.
