  • It has been a year now since PlayStation announced the Instant Game Collection. I jumped on-board immediately because I had always wanted Infamous 2 and this was the best way for me to get it. In the year since, I have had access to so many great games that I don’t have time to play them all. It was far and away the best $50 I’ve ever spent.
Though thanks to all the great discounts PS+ members have had access to, I’ve also probably spent more on games in the last year than in the previous three years combined. You guys seem to know what you’re doing.
I can’t wait to see what else is going to be announced for PS+ and how it’s going to work with PS4.

  • lol he deleted my first comment lol that means its true

  • I would also agree what the other commenter said was to allow the ability to buy the european ps plus as well, so you guys get more revenue and consumers get more games. Hopefully you will market this better on ps4 as this is such an amazing value than xbox live which allows you to pay for playing games online lol. Also for the love of everything please say whats coming out on the starving vita, price drop to 199, make cool black custom vita killzone bundle and show people what the best portable can do. Also you can hire me because I have other great ideas for market share.

  • oh no he didnt lol sorry man i shouldnt have said messed up without reading the other comments

    you teased it :P

  • This month looks fantastic! I’ve been really wanting to play Deus Ex for awhile now, but just kept forgetting to pick it up. Now I have no excuse!

I’m interested in Virtue’s Last Reward – I’m loving these Vita games. They always seem so unique.

I’m a little curious about something, though. I saw inFamous 2, Ratchet & Clank, and LBP 2 as being like these mainstays that you’d use as the core for anybody getting into Playstation Plus. They’re solid franchises that really show off the Playstation brand, and I’m surprised to see they’ll be replaced. With you mentioning there’s more coming in June that we don’t know about yet, I’m convinced there’s going to be SOMETHING announced at E3. I can’t wait.

  • As a followup give one month free playstation plus for all new ps4 owners and have the flagship killzone 4 available that will blow the Xbox None away.

  • Plus you are the best ! Deus Ex and Saint Row….Amazing Thanks Plus.

  • Fantastic month for me. Thank you.

  • Wow, what an awesome month! Since joining PS+ in January, I have not been disappointed. I must say that although there are a lot of complaints about the age of the content and comparisons to Europe, I really like the selection of games. We get some newer titles, and lots of great older ones that I missed. This is an amazing service and an incredible value.

  • AmaterasuOkami1

Awesome PSN+ update; even though I already own Deus Ex and Machinarium for PS3. If Machinarium was for the Vita as one of the IGC for PSN+ that would be sweet.

  • glad we are getting virtue last reward, awesome… one thing. when will US get rayman origins vita and metal gear solid hd collection vita? EU got that, i really want these

on the side note is virtue last reward trophy seperate from the EU version or the same? already plat the EU one. hoping this one is seperate

  • How about making PSN plus icg the same across the whole world? That would quiet down all the nagging how we get low quality games while Europe gets all the good stuff. Please okami for discount or free!!!

  • DonkeyKongKilla

@Paul Sullivan – To your comment on jeffsmither current comment 164. Morgan stated when he changed how the polls were done that he made it so we couldn’t see the polls so that the comments would be more about the content of the update and not the polls alone because there were at least 300+ comments every week about the polls until he did it.

@jeffsmither – What I said ^. So I doubt any polls will be revealed.

  • thanks for an amazing update! :D
    looking forward to VLR!

  • Great update, thanks!!!

  • I waited as long as I could for Deus Ex to be offered free to Plus members, but eventually I succumbed to last March’s sale. Oh well, can’t have any regrets spending money on and supporting such an excellent game.

I hope for everyone’s sake another Deus Ex DLC sale is in the offering. I just finished beating The Missing Link DLC this weekend and was quite impressed with it.

  • EPIC MONTH!!!!

  • You people thinking that games Heavy Rain and God Of War 3 will be added to the IGC need to realize that first, they need to be added to the PSN store, so I doubt that those games will be added in June.

Great Update btw! Thanks PS Plus!!

  • YES!!!!!!! What a month!!! Sony, way to kick things into gear! Deus Ex, Machinarium, and Saints Row the Third are all excellent picks. I don’t have a vita (yet), but I hear Virtue’s Last Reward is one of the best vita games!!!

Thank you Sony! This is the best month I have been part of on PS+

  • Hello Paul,

What pre-order bonuses do I get if I pre-order the digital version of The Last of Us from the PS Store?
    Thank you for your time.

  • Great month! I’ll be downloading saints row the third, i already have the other games(all great). Looking forward to what else is in store for us this june.

  • Question @PaulSullivan If Machinarium IS crossbuy will there be a way for owners of ps3 to still download the Vita version? I ask because there is usually a ban on downloading package deals on the store if you own one of the things on the bundle.

Psyched to see a full flush of IGC although I know I will own probably 2 of the 3 replacement evergreens. Big praise for this months update. Almost bought VLR a number of times really looking forward to this, own machinarium on ps3 (I doubt it is crossbuy It is a beautiful game and worth checking out),

Almost bought Deus Ex during one of the sales, and I might play SR3 if I ever get rid of most everything else in my backlog. lastly I will give Orc attack a try, will have to look at a trailer.

  • Absolutely excellent update!

  • Already own Deus Ex: Human Revolution. But very happy to see Saints Row, Machinarium, and Zero Escape! PlayStation Plus is putting my Vita and PS3 in good shape this June :D

And since a few games are leaving the IGC, should we expect more this month? :D If they’re good games, I’d be more than happy to extend my 3-month “trial” of PS+ for a Full year Subscription.

  • Great month for most. Except me.
    SR3 Platted months ago.
DE:HR (360) May DL but doubtful
Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward may check out.

    Passing on:
    Machinarium
Orc Attack I would have tried it on PS3 but not Vita.

Done DLing stuff I will not ever play.

    Waiting for E3.

I guess I need to stop buying games Day 1 or on sale.

  • DonkeyKongKilla

@Paul – No problem at all.

  • smoothboarder540

I guess now we speculate what Sony published games will replace the ones being removed. I think there will only be two more added because they’re already giving us an extra full game. I think they will add either Playstation All-Stars or LBP Karting to appease the whiners about M rated games. Maybe both. If it is only one of those the other will be tough to figure out. There haven’t been many other Sony published games made recently. My guess is either Twisted Metal or Uncharted 3. I kind of hope it’s not U3, because that would just kill my HDD.

  • @Paul Sullivan
more awesome games added to PS plus collection around E3 perhaps? like last year? :D

  • Great update! Can’t wait to add them to my collection.

  • I love being a PS+ member. I can’t wait to see what else is coming.

  • Yet another amazing lineup! A year subscription will pay for itself several times over in June alone!

Now, please lower the price of PSVita memory, so I can take all that great free content on the go with me! Or, bundle a year of PS+ with the 32 GB card!

  • Awesome awesome update!! Thanks!

I already own Virtues Last Reward but I definitely recommend picking it up to everyone. It has one of the most intriguing and thought-provoking stories of any game I’ve ever played.

  • NICE UPDATE!!!

Deus Ex, Saints Row The Third and Machinarium…. good solid update for ps3.

Orc Attack, Virtue’s Last Reward AND Machinarium ( It’s Crossbuy, so stop winning about only 2 games for Vita) also is a good update.

As for the games that leave IGC in june ( finally!!!) i can clearly see what games will be given:

Playstation All Stars Battle Royale (Am almost certain this will be one of the three games)

Ico/Shadow of the Colossus (Come on guys! Paul hints this in #26 Reply… =P )

As for the third game it must be a 2011/2012 release as the two before (Uncharted 3/Gran turismo 5/God of War/Etc… Any first party game)

    As for Vita… i really dunno. =P

Well, in any case i hope SCEA really drop a bomb and give us some nice games for the IGC…. Thanks.

  • WOWWWW guys, now THIS is a proper month for Plus users. Thanks, I guess, I just hope you keep this up instead of going back to $10 games every month from now.
Looking forward to Saints Row and Deus Ex! Two more Plats to get, yay! And I own Machinarium on Steam but I’ll be more than glad to get 100% on it here, it’s a fantastic game.

  • @225 Don’t forget about SLY I’m guessing that’ll be there as well.

  • Great month, I dont really like those games but they are complete ps3 games.

Sweet IGC renewed, Im hoping for great ps3 games in that area. Like little big planet karting, ps all stars. Please make something big, this new generarion must be a PS generation. A great ps plus line up with a good ps4 connection at the end of the year will make ps4 win big time, no doub about it.

  • I wonder what the bonus games could be hopefully some PS3 Exclusives.

PlayStation All Stars is a good one and also twisted metal would be two good titles.

I am really happy to see Ratchet and clank, Infamous 2 and Little big planet 2 leave its been long enough and they needed to get the boot.

As for the games so far this month I don’t think I would be downloading Deus Ex I played it on my 360 and I thought it was ok but it wasn’t amazing. Saints row the 3rd and machinarium hopefully will be fun to play.

Cant wait till E3 next week.

  • DE:HR is an RPG shooter, it’s not a pure shooter. Anyone who is saying “oh great, yet another shooter” is either naive or dumb. If you’re into RPGs, try it out and see for yourself.

  • The Last of Us free for PS Plus ….. that would be …. “The Sony WON E3” thing…. lol like LITERALLY! lol

  • DARN IT! Already own Machinarium and bought Deus Ex and Saint’s Row 3 on the “other” console. ARGH!

  • I’m praying at E3 they announce 50% off cuts on vita’s memory card prices with the addition of a 64 for $80-$100

  • Since i LOVE MGS everyone that has played Deus Ex has told me to play it because it is very similar to it…so now i will finally be able to play it! :D thank you!

  • #237

That is so NOT gonna happend my friend lol….

  • You’re making me gun shy to buy games now. It almost seems like you look at my purchase history and add the games to IGC :)
I purchased both Sleeping Dogs and Deus Ex when they were on sale for compelling prices. I’ve yet to play them, but the prices were too good to pass up on.

Now both of the games have been added to the IGC. It makes me almost afraid to take the plunge on sales as a lot of the titles become free on PS+ shortly afterwards. Don’t get me wrong. I love the PS+ service. It just makes me wary of buying sale items

I would like to echo the sentiment of getting ICO and Kingdoms of Amalur as IGC titles. I need to try and get the trophy in ICO for beating it in under 4 hours for the platinum

    • @ 242 “It almost seems like you look at my purchase history and add the games to IGC :)”

      D’oh! Busted…

  • To make it the same world wide would mean that the psn store is the same world wide. I don’t think every psn store is the same world wide.

  • @209 I agree about Rayman origins and MGS HD collection for vita. I fully expect to get rayman origins as IGC at some point prior to rayman legends’ release (but I don’t really care since I have it on PC). However, I can tell you that the main reason I have not bought MGS HD is because it was EU IGC. I’m probably not the only one so they might as well give it to us. Anyone who wanted to buy it probably already did.

  • smoothboarder540

I think Sly Cooper came out a little too recently for it to be added to the IGC.

  • xXCarter_KaneXx

Was really hoping we would be able to get our hands on catherine and or ico/collosus this week. been dying to play catherine and well as replaying the later.

  • passivefamiliar

Nice drop indeed. Not a lot for me, only because I have most of it. But that’s NOT THE POINT of plus for me. I enjoy the free games, and discounts are great. People expect to much for so very little. Plus is great as it is. You don’t need AAA titles for it to be worth your money. Children these days. No values at all.

love the teaser of things to come though

  • even though i already own the ps plus games im very glad they are allowing uninformed gamers to try out great games they missed. VLR, Deus Ex and SR3 are all incredible games that everyone should play.
