  • As long as you’re asking for suggestions to the IGC, i think the biggest problem with it is the lack of role playing games. I really can’t think of many we’ve gotten aside from FF Tactics and Disgaea 3. We’ve had non stop platformers, fighting games, shooters, and even occasional sports games.

I can’t understand why we can’t even get an older rpg like Dragon age 2 free for once. I’d even take one of those low budget Nisa titles over generic shooter or fighting game #7

  • A storm hit my house friday took out my ps3’s and vita, is there a way for me to own these titles and just download them later? I have no idea when i’ll get another ps3 or vita. morgan help or anybody answer this question please

  • This month is not for me, but I immensely enjoyed past months games. There are somes things I’d like to see:

-Red Dead Redemption(I know many people are asking for this game so I hope it will happen)
    -L.A. Noire
    -Dead or Alive 5
-Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (I know that have been many fighting games for Vita, but I am still waiting for a PS3 one lately)

    Discount:

Ni No Kuni (This would be so epic, I hope it can happen)

That is it for now, thanks Morgan. Hope you guys are listening. :)

  • there is nothing for me this month i quess the quality is gonna deteriorate with the upcoming ps4, but what i have to say its how shady it is that you put a game in the vita and then later you put it in the ps3 for the IGC, thats really a cheap move for those few who support the playstation brand with vita, ps3 and PS+.

  • Dang, I’ve already got Battlefield 3 Premium (GREAT value by the way, very worthwhile maps and new weapons), but I guess I’ll enjoy JSR and Munch’s Oddysee

  • Bought this game like 3 weeks ago, but not even mad that its this month’s free game.

    Keep up the great updates!

  • Not such a big fan of games like BF3 but i heard it was good always wanted to get it but never got around to it. Thanks for making this a free game I will defiantly be downloading this when it comes out hopefully tomorrow. PS+ Is defiantly worth every penny well at least for me keep up the good work hope to see many more great games.

  • Was hoping we would get Pinball Heroes for free to make up for the fact that Pinball Arcade still isn’t working properly. Is there any timetable or possibility it will be fixed? Users on the support forums have been greeted with silence for weeks.

  • Thanks for the support !
Also, te ratchet y clank collection is for ps3 only or it is available for vita too?

    Thanks

  • To be fair, I wasn’t into FPS period, and PS + introduced me to Bioshock 2. I’ve been hooked to the series since.

  • PLUS YOU ARE THE BEST PRODUCT EVER MADE,

    THANKS MORGAN

    NICE UPDATE

    :D

log into the sony store from your pc amd get the content

  • Another great list of free games. I have two but I like all of the others.

  • I picked Battlefield 3 as my favorite part of this week’s update, but I think the Summer Sale is just as awesome. Thanks.

  • looks like i’ll be buying the good games this month, oh well still pretty good if you don’t have the games

  • i wonder what’s next morgan

  • Question: Does BF3 have absolutely massive updates and patches on PS3 like it did on 360? I played it on my 360 before I sold that system and it took a long time to fully patch everything. Each patch was, like…1-2 gigs! I’ve found that my PS3 downloads much slower than my 360 did, so while I’m SUPER happy to be able to play again, I may not be able to until the end of the week. lol

Anyways, this is a good month. I have none of these titles. I had BF3 and JSR on 360, but they are games I am more than happy to have again. Mostly because the buddy I played BF3 with on 360 was sad I sold it. But he has PS+ as well so we can play together again!

    Thanks, Sony.

  • Well that sucks for me. I bought BF3 the day it came out and I still have it. I’m not interested in the other games either. I was really hoping for Kingdoms Of Amalur.

  • Good lord and I just looked at the sales – definitely picking a few things up when I get paid on Friday.

  • I know that is probably more complicated to get Japanese games for PS+ but could be get some JRPGs once in a while? Zero JRPGs this month on PS+ or with the Summer Sale, not even one. There are many awesome JRPGs on PSP that are compatible with the Vita…

  • This month’s PS+ is okay for me. Too bad I already own both Battlefield 3 and Metal Slug XX. For Battlefield 3, I can’t really complain. As for Metal Slug XX, I wish they choose Metal Slug Anthology instead because that one has more replay value compared to XX. But glad you guys are still bringing PSP games as I am too cheap to get a Vita. Despite me not owning one, maybe I’ll grab Mortal Kombat during the summer sale so I have a game to play day one if I do finally manage to buy one. For the PS3 version, that better be the Komplete Edition or people would rather just buy the disc.

@87 So do I, but I’m not too upset about it. At least we have access to all of the DLC. The people who grabs it at PS+ doesn’t, so that’s a plus for us.

  • If you want to give ps vita some psp game, why not chose gta ,GOW,metal gear solid,….AAA titles of psp are far better than ps vita’s.You give ps vita 2 “cheap” game a month like that, why dont give us one good game instead.
    Sorry for my english

  • “BF3 is a great game and all but it’s like one of the top selling games of the year it came out. I don’t think it was a wise move to put it on plus seeing as how half of us likely already own it. A very meh month.”

I can’t believe someone would say that. Just because a lot of people have a game doesn’t mean everyone has it. I have two of the other games on the list but the rest I don’t have. Sony won’t know who has what.

  • @Morgan

Thanks for the reply. What I mean by lacking is you have certain titles why not add some of the DLC for the people that already have the game. I already own saints row and battlefield. Having “some” DLC free for psn plus might draw more people to get the titles.

The vita games look good but I don’t own one. Hopefully my suggestion might be considered.

  • Morgan, I like that we’re getting Oddworld and crazy good discounts, but other than that, I’m not really impressed. I have a couple of suggestions for IGC of my own.

    1. GOOD PS2 Classics like Red Faction
    2. PS1 Classics like Metal Gear or Destruction Derby
    3. PS Vita shooters like Resistance: Burning Skies or Unit 13.

PLEASE GIVE US BETTER VITA GAMES, IF ANYTHING. I would love PS2 Classics on IGC though too.

  • Thanks Morgan! You’re the best!!! But now I’m torn. Update my PS Plus sub or buy from the summer sale?!

  • Whatever happened to getting themes and avatars for PS+ members?

  • Battlefield 3 is a great addition. I doubted the we would have gotten since EU announced they were getting BF but this was a nice move. Also will get Arkham Asylum for $5, lol. My biggest issue is HDD space. :(

  • Does anyone know how Plus automatically renews? Does it renew 3 months or 1 year at a time?

  • Awe yeeeeeaaaaah it pays to have PS Plus, another superb month!!!!!

  • FINALLY!!! whiners can finally stop with “EU got BF3 and we didn’t” BS….thanks Sony! wont be downloading BF3 since im sure alot of people including myself have the game already(day 1) but will def check out Dokuro and Metal Slug since i love the series…its an ok PS+ birthday month lol hope red dead redemption comes out sooner or later….

  • Aaaawwwws. Did all the wittle babies get their bah-bahs?!?!?! *gasp*!! How precious !!!!!

Great update, my problem is that even with 30something gigs free, I just don’t have the hdd space to even download alot of these huge game you guys so generously put on offer to me. I still get my money’s worth on the smaller games, but still…..it’s an issue for me. I wish SSD drives would have come down drastically by now.

  • Wow BF3! Everyone who wants it already has it! And those that dont have it dont care!

  • Sigh.. Yet another shooter is the big “headline” game this month? I wish we could get a different genre of big name game once in while.(RPGs please?)
Actually none of the PS3 Games are all that interesting to me this month.

At least Vita is still getting strong games for the IGC. I love me some classic Metal Slug action and been wanting to pick up Dokoro since it’s release but knew it would come to Plus for free soon enough.

All in all bit of a disappointing month but truthfully I have a long list of Backlogged games to get to so I’m kind of relieved.

  • I’ve had PS+ for almost a year and I love it ; But this update and the past few months have been really bad. I wish I could make a eu account for their plus but be able to play the games with my NA account cause I would sub to both of them if that was possible.

  • @179

If you bought the year subscription it will renew in a year of that purchase date and three months for if you bought the three month subscription.

  • I didn’t see anything about it in the post but I guess its worth asking. Does any of the DLC or Battlefield Premium go on sale with this? Also, thanks for all of hard work you guys put into all of this!

  • BF3? Really? O.O

  • Is there any chance that we will be able to get Pinball Arcade working before it leaves the IGC? Seriously, it became part of the IGC on May 21st! May 21st people! That’s about a month and a half ago! Where’s the love? Where’s the communication? Better yet, where are the technicians?!?!? And what are they doing besides fixing this problem?!?!? How long does it take to make a game available for download?!?!?

  • Good for all the folks wanting BF3. Prepare to be humiliated lol. Not a bad game by any means and I’ll take it for sure. Not a fan of the massive updates gonna have to wait through again if I ever want to play it. ODDWORLD! woot woot! Haven’t played this since ps1. Was such a great game. Almost bought it a few days ago too! Glad I held out.

  • himynameism1kee

Happy with Dokuro!! – been waiting to buy that one for a little while as it looks similar to Closure or something along those lines. – Also the sale is awesome! I will be grabbing 5 games in the sale over the next 2 weeks.

I never played BF3, I heard the SP was awful but the multiplayer is exceptional so thanks for that Sony!

As for the others… meh for me I’m afraid. A PSP game, Oddysey HD remake which is the worst in the series (I can’t wait for the new Indie one though shown at E3 though) and Jet Set Radio which was already given out of the Vita and plays awfully nowadays.

Keep up the awesome work Sony. Maybe I shouldn’t be moaning at all for $5 a month!!! You guys Rock!!

  • Battlefield 3 for free, Mortal Kombat for $5, and Ratchet Collection for $7.50?

Hell yes. I already have BF3 and beat MK, but this is still an excellent month for an excellent service

  • Jeez. Jet Set Radio? After being discounted so many times and free for Vita? Disappointing.

  • Yes! Not one fighting game this month!
I don’t like fighting games with a passion, they make me sick.

Plus really has an inconsistency with some type of games..
We received 6 or 7 fighting games in one year, practically 10% of all the ICG games ever.
And 2 racing games in one year (if you count LBP Karting, since that one is from the second year of ICG, I think it doesn’t count), corresponding to a whooping 1.56% of all the ICG games.

In each 10 games from ICG, at least one is a fighting game (YUCK!).

Where are the RPGs? The Adventures? =(

  • himynameism1kee

@190 – the Odyssey game wasn’t on the PS1 – it was an original Xbox launch title and it’s 3D. It starts ok but it gets really boring as it progresses.

I agree with you that the PS1 classics were epic though! Wish we got those instead.

  • I only have JSR and Dokuro out of the 5. So I at least get three games out of there. Plus the Summer deals look good. Probably picking up Batman, Mortal Kombat, and Alice.

  • Quick question. SotC is listed as $5 for PS+ on some listings but is listed as $4 on here. Typo? Or has this awesome deal just got more awesome…er.

  • I love you Sony :’) please continue this amazing love through the ps4. I cannot wait till I get mine later this year.

  • Hey quick question I am sure many have been wondering (it may have been answered if so sorry), will BF3 come with map packs?

    • No this is just the core Battlefield 3 game that you would get if you just bought the disc in the store.

  • Vita is left to die
