  • boo no more great discounts..

  • will the game Spy Fiction ever come to the psn store?

  • Granted, this week’s PSN offerings do me absolutely no good, I’ve got a big enough queue from previous weeks that I can accept a week of nothing work playing. As long as it doesn’t become a weekly trend, the value for PS+ is awesome. Currently playing Knytt Underground, and then Oddworld after that, definitely have a stock pile to keep me busy for a little while!

  • Not a spectacular week to end my plus membership.

But Thomas Was Alone being only $1.79, so who can complain,
and Metal Slug, I almost bought it awhile ago.

Glad I didn’t, and you added it, since it was probably not going to get purchased.

I already bought my next yearly membership card,
so I have a feeling the following week will have something good,
if not, I will wait until you have something better, to continue.

Keep up the good work………..and definitely the sales.

(Now if we can work on the ability to add photos for the cover of vita and ps folders, in console joystick adjustments for verticle and horizontal sensitivity with dead zones, and making sure downloaded titles can cross platform………. we are set.)

  • Wow.

    Nevermind.

    Just an expansion. Jeez.

  • Nothing for me this week…. I’m thinking that I will have to wait 2 weeks to see something good in the monthly update!

  • Sweet! Will get them for sure!
BTW, any news of Lone survivor :o?

  • I am thankful I have never opened up my brand new Vita.

Not because of lack of games, oh no. Because it must be so addicting that it makes you want every game ever released in the history of man on it.

  • psp games are ok,but i just want silent hill : shatterred memory,GoW,Gta…

  • First, I like to thank you guys for your hard work.

2nd, I hate to say this especially on my first time posting here, but as one member said it, I hope we see more PS2 and PS1 classics discounted/free near future. Especially the PS2 since these games are 10$, and it’s honestly pricey for an old game especially if we already bought them back on the PS2 but sadly we need to buy them again for whatever reason (broken PS2, broken CTR TV)

    Thanks again.

  • Not the best week for ps plus, but give the team a break they are trying their hardest.

  • Where can i find the PS+ free games content for august?.

  • As much as I agree with the other people, yes, this isn’t the best week for PS+. It would be nice to see a small sale or two and that I own Metal Slug XX already. Would have been better if it was Metal Slug Anthology though…

  • @PrimeroIncognito I also agree with you too. I hate idiots as well. They’re everywhere and they come flying like bats. I also like how you teach Ryumoau how embarrassed he should be. I think we can be good friends lol.

@xBraiNshOcK Who cares about trophy support? I wouldn’t want to play a game that I wouldn’t play anymore taints your account forever. If you hate the game and already played it on your system, it shall always be suck at 0% or will never be platinum. Who would want that? I sure don’t.

And to all those people who don’t wants PSP games on your Vita, please throw them away. They’re not for you.

  • @ 214 Gamerzlimited How about you shut your mouth? If you own a PS3 then keep your BS comment to yourself! You are not like us who only own a vita yet we keep getting psp! If I own a ps3 then it’s a sweet deal, but not all people have ps3 mostly those who only own a VITA are sick and tired getting psp every month! If they insisted PSP game then let it be the 3rd title for vita!

What if sony gives 4 ps2 games and only 2 ps3 title a month to ps3 subscriber? Isn’t that insulting? We only own a vita, we subscribed to PS PLUS “Ps3/vita games” but we keep getting psp!

And also don’t give a crap comment that vita have less vita game library, because Asia and Europe still able to manage to give 2 vita games every month since the beginning so shut up and be glad you own a PS3 to enjoy the psn plus!

  • Nothing for me this week either. I do enjoy this subscription very much though. Also glad to see some people excited for the Metal Slug game coming to them. Since I like RPGs as much as the next guy I have a game I’d like to see in the IGC as well. Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch. That’s my feedback, and thank you to Sony for listening to their people…I hope.

  • Thanks again Morgan!

My PS+ membership now expires May 2015 :)

    I have a PS4 on order so I think I’m all set.

  • People, try to remember that some weeks are going to be bigger than others; they can’t help that. And not every week can bring a new Vita game or AAA PS3 game. Overall, the service is still well worth it for the price.

Morgan, I don’t know how much control you guys have over it, but it would be great to see more PS1 games added to the Vita store, even if they weren’t free on Plus. There are just so many great games that would likely sell very well, from hard-to-find ones like IQ and Internal Section to classics like Thousand Arms and Final Fantasy V (currently on PS3 but not Vita). I’d also be thrilled to see some PS1 games on Plus as free or discounted selections. Do requests generally make a difference? If so, It’d be cool to see more RPGs and action-adventure style games when PSP games are offered if that would be possible; someone mentioned Dead Head Fred, and Death Jr. or the Ys or Legend of Heroes games would be great. For PS3, howl likely is it that we might see Dead Island or White Knight Chronicles on Plus?

  • What a load of crap…worst week of plus ever, no matter how you try to justify it.

  • When did you guys advertise that PS Plus includes PSP games? Could’ve sworn that you stated many times that Plus is only for Vita, PS3, and PS4. Why you giving Plus owners BS?

  • @220 i was thinking the same thing. we have had uncharted ,gravity rush and wipeout since they launched ps+ for the vita. other region get 2 vita games per month and so should we. i mean come on who wants to play a psp game if they own a vita

  • does anyone know where i can buy a eu ps+ card?

  • This week is just not a big one for me, don’t get me wrong I love Metal Slug but I own it already lol. However I know Plus will eventually bring me something really worthwhile whether its next week or the week after that they always do. Im really glad its being brought over the PS4 (getting it day one). P.S. Morgan is awesome probably one of the best public figures I know unlike certain Microsoft employees who essentially tell their fans to suck it when they receive negative feedback this guys keeps calm and collected and just states the facts, he seems to actually care about Plus Customers and thats awesome.

  • Meh, if I wanted PSP content I would be using a PSP rather than a vita.

Not impressed at all with this update

  • Considering they’re the same price, disappointing that we got Metal Slug 7 for free rather than Anthology.

  • w00t, this is awesome… huge Metal Slug fan and between this release and Metal Slug Anthology (which I highly recommend people pick up), I can play all the main/numbered Metal Slug games* on my PSP (which still gets some play on road trips) and Vita.

*For those of you who didn’t know, Metal Slug XX is an enhanced version of Metal Slug 7 (which was a DS-exclusive). Metal Slug X is actually an enhanced version of Metal Slug 2, both of which are included in the Anthology collection.

  • Awesome! i like Metal Slug! XD

  • It would be awesome if Plus gave away free movies and tv episodes also.

  • @purse317

Fair questions, but I don’t think that Sony will possibly answer some of those.

    1) It comes down to economics. The PS3 is the number 1 best seller in EU, they have the numbers, when EU people buy software they usually buy PS3 software. Publishers see that, as an example 50% of the PS3 software is purchased in EU, and maybe 30% is sold in the US. If you give it away in EU, your likely to get a return on your investment in the form of DLC sales in EU. While you might not in NA, or at least as much. They also have a better system over there where shops discount titles much faster than in the US. Competitive markets in EU means publishers are fighting for consumer dollars, if they give their title aware it gets attention and either accompanying sales or DLC will make them money.

  • I just have to say my only regret is that i didn’t join PSPLUS earlier .. awesome people at Sony know how to treat the fans ,, Metal Slug will make a great addition to my library … Thank You

  • @225 Sorry I didn’t see this before I went to make my post (it may have been echo’d elsewhere in the thread as well). I believe the PSN Store teams tries to offer products that are newer, because even if they have a similar or equal price to a similar product, they are intricately more valuable to the customer). I personally already own the Anthology both on UMD (Day 1 Purchase) and as a digital download and I think if you are going to spend your money on one of the other, buying the Anthology outside of the IGC a great idea (plus then you could lay claim to the complete set =p).

@228 There is much less (see: almost zero) flexibility when it comes to that content, as SCE is acting simply as a storefront. Even though PlayStation and Sony Pictures Entertainment (with subsidiaries; Columbia, TriStar, Screen Gems, etc) fall under Sony ownership, they are mostly independently run. With PS+ being more about the gaming experience, I don’t think there has push for this yet. It might be possible to see a PS+Movie subscription that would grant 2 HD rentals a month or something along these lines though. Heh, even though it was more of a way to show off BD technology, I still have my “PS3 edition” of “Talladega Nights” so who knows!

  • why you take forever to update the store every week…..

  • please stop giving us psp games!!! I bought a ps vita to play vita games

  • is there ever going to be discounts on the borderlands 2 add-ons and characters. I’m looking to buy krieg the psycho but it seems a rip off cause you only get one character and it’s 10$ so it should be a discount.

  • @ 233 i hope they finally listen and start treating us like our EU and Asian PS+ Members

  • I bet all those people requesting psp games don’t even own a vita and most likely on a psp :(

  • More OT, but I’m someone who is active (behind the public scenes) with SCEA/SCEE/SCE(J) and sometimes venture over to the EU forums/blog (simply lurk, gather information; sounds creepy I know). A lot of what is said on this side of the pond is echo’d (although in reverse) on the EU side. Their users actually feel like the US subscribers get better titles, better updates and better support (sound familiar? =p). I had further points but TwinDad (@229) really summed up the situation well.

Also I know this will likely have zero effect on the way anyone posts, but I would be grateful if the comparisons to Steam (or other computer-based digital distribution) would stop; fat-chance I know. Sony (or Microsoft or Nintendo for that matter) is not acting out of greed by not offering similar sales, they just don’t have the same leverage that PC-based digital stores have. It’s kind of the same reason why you rarely see “flash sales” for games at brick and mortar stores; although we are slowly starting to see that change more globally so here’s hoping we can all get equal footing for digital content across all platforms (but until deals between developers and publishers, as well as publishers and providers change, this is unlikely).

  • @212 That information won’t be announced until the 5th.

@220 Games released through PS+ will be available for play on those platforms. There is still a lot of demand for PSP and PS2 titles, although I understand that there is an equally vocal number of people who would like to leave last-generation titles behind and focus on the latest and greatest. It’s hard to please everyone (without going bankrupt in the process at least =p)!

@232 I assume you just wanted a place to post your complaint or maybe you are trying to Morgan Haro’s attention, but this post was created on Monday and as far as that question, it’s been asked many times and I think they are doing a good job but it’s been officially stated that they are doing their best at all times and hope to continue to improve, so I think you can more or less take that as the final remark on the matter (until something is said to the contrary).

No idea if Morgan is still reading these replies but i strongly suggest all complaints be directly forwarded Chuck Jose, and I have a feeling that he would wholeheartedly agree =p.

  • @237 except retail stores like Gamestop have the sense enough to reduce prices on their inventory monthly when games have been out for months. Psn store still has games from 2 years ago that are near full price.

  • @238 how are they doing there best ? we still have uncharted ,gravity rush and wipeout in the igc .
those games have been there since igc started for the vita. i think you work for sony and going undercover

  • and do not say the vita library is to small because there are tons of retail vita games and tons of vita download games. they should have told the vita owners the once we joined ps+ we would get psp games. they are trying to bait psp owners into thinking ps+ is for them and then a few months down the road pull a bait and switch by adding only vita tittles for a few months. the only people that are happy about the psp games are the people who own a psp and they do not own a vita

  • Love me some Metal Slub

  • Personally not a good week (or last week for that matter) for me but to each his own.

I do have 2 questions though.

    1. How are the games that come to IGC picked?

    2. Will PS3 games still be available on IGC when the PS4 comes out?
(Not everyone can afford a PS4 on Launch day)

  • @239 This is true… actually before Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory was released, I went to my favorite GameStop (there are literally a half-dozen within a 5 mile radius, including a GameStop almost directly across from another GameStop at our local mall… I think one of them used to be an EB Games… now it just looks weird) to pick-up a used copy of mk2 and they said they didn’t have any copies and none of the other stores did either so I think I ended up paying 50$ + tax for a PSN code (obviously wasn’t thinking straight as I could have come home and just bought it directly from PSN tax-free). Later that week I went onto Nippon Ichi’s official webstore and they were selling the game new for $40 (GameStop was either doing the same, if not less, although I doubt they had any SKUs in stock that weren’t used) and then a couple months later PSN drops the price to $30… so yeah, there are defiantly gaps. I’m also not quite sure the reason why PSP titles get left marked as “PS3/PSP” when they work fine on the Vita. I can understand an initial error but it seems to be repeated and slow to change in some cases.

  • @240/241 I have never been employed by Sony (or any of it’s subsidiaries) nor am I a blind fanboy (although I am a fan of the PlayStation ecosystem and have worked with several 3rd party developers on PlayStation titles). The “doing their best” statement was something that was officially said by a Sony rep., as previous stated, I feel like they are “doing a good job”, which is simply a personal statement (from an observational point of view I would less to see less gaps in compatibility and other things which I know to be easy fixes). I believe there are ~75 currently downloadable Vita games in the NA store and I’m sure more of these will be coming to PS+ but I’m sorry if you felt mislead by the initial Vita offering was a sign of things to come (i.e. a few true Vita titles each month). I would like to see this as well, I just happen to value PSP games equally and I think this is where the divide comes into play.

  • @243 I believe the first question was answered before and said something about taking a lot of things into account, but my memory doesn’t serve me well enough to quote with any accuracy. As far as your second question, yes, this has been confirmed. PS3 will continue to receive titles in the retail market as well as new releases via the IGC (I don’t think anyone knows how long either will last though, but PS3 users will be taken care of on all fronts heading into – or rather up to – 2015).

  • DeeBG well you can stop typing a biography because if you do not work for sony you are just typing random garbage .

  • we need answers from the source and not some random guy looking for brownie points

  • Hey Morgan. What’s up man? I would like to have Gran Turismo 5 XL Edition on PS Plus. Thank you!

  • How do I get my Leona DLC to download onto my PSV? It says “cannot download using a PS Vita system” in my download list.
I still have it on my psp but since I can now play this on my PSV, I would like to play as Leona too :D
