  • I would have loved to give a more in-depth explanation for my reasoning but character limit makes me look like an entitled kid throwing a tantrum. Thanks for that Sony.

My suggestion? Email out multiple surveys to PSN users tha have active PS+ subs (or that did and never resubed), and/or own a Vita.

And questions that actually require thought. None of this “did you enjoy the service y/n?” or “if you had to choose a favorite offer from PS+ what would it be?”

Get actual feedback from people that actually own whatever device the content is for.

  • Thank you for the update I know most people wine about not getting the same stuff as EUps+ but like last month when we do thay wine about that to I love this update like most updates Evan the psp game supper exited for that thanks guys :)

  • @ MiahHMan don’t even bother.. They won’t care… Why I said it? Because if they did took customer’s feedback then they wouldn’t have put another psp fighting game. In fact this is the worst fighting game on psp.

  • Playstation Plus continues to dominate.

  • Wow this is weak! Why does Europe keep getting better games than we do?? And what’s with the PSP games???

  • I want Ducktales Remastered and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Out Of the Shadows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Some solid things.

  • @Stranger_Eddie Your comment has officially helped me to avoid the Vita version. I heard some bad stuff about it when it first released, which I was uncertain at the time. Of course the 360 version will be better, but I don’t have one because I support Sony. I can deal without the blood. If I really want blood, I’ll just play Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. They put decapitation back in the new version after all. Now I know which version to get (PS3 Version) and which to avoid (PS Vita Version), thanks.

    @blakseed Agreed…

  • YES! We’re getting Absolution! Hope Hope HOPE! We get Catharine Soon! Please Please PLEASE!

  • Why another psp fighting game and the worst of its kind. Why eu, asia, jp all got rayman origins for free while we didnt. Did you guys ever listened to the feedback? This is the worst update ever, even worse than last month which i thought would be the worst.

  • Before US plus got UPS and DOWN update vs EU plus update on vita titles.

This past 3 months there is no such thing as advantage at all vs EU. It’s just like we NA plus subscriber are the one paying for the GAMES they given to EU.

Ex. ps plus US vita owners subscribers paid for mortal combat, lego lord of the ring, jet set radio, thomas was alone, coconut dodge revitalize and rayman origins whereas EU gets them all for free as subscriber. NA have to shoulder all the expenses so that they could give it free in EU. Well this is AWESOME!

  • Morgan is just laughing at us. He’s a conservative, so we will only get outdated fighting and shooting games that everyone already owns.

Battlefield, Hitman, old PSP games, etc…

September’s update will be Modern Ward fare 3, CoD, Warhawk, Metal Gear 4,… Europe get all kinds of genre, we get shooting violent games.. things we cant let kids play.

  • Hitman Absolution is a great game :)

  • just sold my 360 for a ps3 and its really good so far, preordered the ps4, right now playing uncharted 3 mp, looking for people to play with, add me as a friend- Losha260

  • + hazelcabug i agree with you.

they give games that everyone already owns. the only thing i took advantage last month is datura for $2.50 thats the only thing!

  • @ NYPenguin
What I mean is that we are paying for the game so that they could give it for free in EU. lol

  • Hey, just throwing this out there but maybe you guys could do a buy one get half off on expansion dlc since they never go down in price. loving the update.

  • DmC in September would be fantastic. Just sayin’.

  • “It amazes me how most of the people who complain about Plus keep paying for it.”

What amazes me is that I had to focus on a project since April and I finally drop back in and the same lame people are talking the exact same trash, months later. I suppose that if you have no life at all and one day becomes just like any other, time just stops for them

Primo, I have this of you as some scruffy, neck-bearded slob, sitting in front of his computer in a filthy, single room occupancy. LMAO. take a shower, man. You stink…..

Tell me, do they pay you or do you just have wood for Morgan?

  • What not mass effect ??

  • @MiahHMan I agree with you somewhat but I intend to continue to subscribe anyway. Not because I expect the service to get any better, and I don’t do much online multi-player. I’m subbing because I know that a good network needs a budget and if Sony needs my piddling $50 a year to improve and maintain PSN, I’ll gladly pay it, free games or no (they are nice even though there is rarely anything there that I care about)

  • It’s awesome to see Sony has gotten the hang of sale pricing. Digital purchases are looking that much more tempting

  • This seems like it’s going to be a terrible month for PS Plus subscribers. However I will probably take advantage of the Rayman sales.

  • Idk why but I was actually looking at buying Hitman today, needless to say Im sure glad I didnt. I was kinda hoping for NFS most wanted but its alright, Im not complaining. Ps plus has been very good to us. I agree with one of the comments in hoping that we get Tomb Raider in the near future. But Im grateful for whatever we get. The $50 a year we pay for ps plus is so worth it. Thank you Sony…

  • what other games r coming out

  • Now is there a time they are usually put up?

  • i will never let anybody i know subscribe for this service again, what a waste of money specially for the vita only owners………….

  • A Big LOL plus noting you Win noting open the cap and you Win noting good night

  • Games I could careless about… IDE rather see these games. God of War, Need For Speed, Gran Turismo, Ratchet & Clank, Dead Island & Riptide

  • I’ve honestly been trying my hardest not to post here to complain about this, but are you guys seriously just trolling us with flippin fighting games? Seriously…You know that fighting games are so low on the want list for plus that they are practically digging a hole to China right? Please don’t tell me that applying that feedback takes time either because it’s been almost an entire years since the initial surveys where fighters placed ridiculously low to nearly nonexistent. We were fed up with them a year ago and yet we still get them shoved down our throats. Stop it already.

With that out of the way, the rest of the month isn’t really all that impressive either, but it isn’t bad. It certainly isn’t something to be up in arms over like some folks.

  • Machinarium? Cmon,I own a frickin-PS3/PS Vita System,thats not even a good flash game.

There is a plenty of old-good games, Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire, Borderlands, Bully, even 10 $ games, like yugioh decade duels,Fl0w, Flower.

    Machinarium is a S H A M E

  • Rayman Origins for 5 bucks?

    Sold

  • I feel like I’m buried in comments, but if you happen to read this, here it goes:

Since I’m a member, I’m very satissfied with the PS + service. I have the oportunity to play tons of games that I wouldn’t buy, and that includes certain PSN games that were a cool discovery for me.

I must admit that I would expect the “awesomeness” of June, when we got 8 games in a single month, but this is the first month that I’m not excited.

I mean, I know that Hitman is a great game and I’m pretty sure that I will play it, but I was expecting something else. Maybe I’m asking too much but it would be nice to see another AAA title this month, taking into account that last month was similar to this one.

I will give a try to Runner2. Maybe it was to soon to give another pinball title (in fact, I didn’t even bother to download the previous pinball title, it doesn’t call my attention).

Again, I’m quite happy with the service, the discounts are also amazing, I bought some huge games at very low prices.

  • I’ll check out Hitman..the rest is meh. I wish we’d get more niche games like RPGs for the PS3 though.

  • Its a joke : ( i have NFS MW : /

  • I want to nfs mw *

  • coming into the same wagon with haters of PSP fighting.
I’m okay with PSP game, but fighting is big no. Even I can’t play the last month PSP game more than 10minutes…
please just spread the PSP game, 2 months for one PSP is enough

Machinarium is okay, I had waited for discount and now it’s free so I think that’s better.
I’ll still let my plus away after the subscription down, but don’t worry, I’ll get it again after I have PS4
and for those who “I’ll let my subs lapse”… I wonder what will you do if you want to play online with PS4 later? :p

well… Sony had a machine that can do online free without plus, it’s name is PS3 (I wonder if anyone understand what parody I use for this line of comment :])

  • Not to keen on the selection this month. Is Spelunky coming out on the vita soon? Is/was there any news about it?

  • I really thought Rayman: Origins was coming to PS Plus last month..
Then I thought I was gonna be able to play NFS on my PS3…

What’s with EU getting the more interesting ps plus stuff?
    I really was expecting Rayman..
I hope we get to that soon..

  • Anybody know who I can talk to so there can be Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops on the US playstation store and maybe get it as free game on playstation plus? The Vita has been out for more than a year and they managed to fix the issue for Peace Walker, but never did it for Portable Ops and it is the only Metal Gear Solid game that I have not played yet.

  • Thank you, its a really good update. Hope to see NFS Most Wanted next month

  • so like what time does hitman come out like lol

  • 7 years after the PS3 launched, we get to alphabetically sort our music, alphabetically sort our movies, our trophies are alphabetically sorted, but why aren’t our digital games sorted alphabetically? Why can we only sort by creation date and recently played?
Not talking about the store download list, but that would be nice too. No, I’m wondering why I can’t go to play a game in the list of 80 or so games I bought, PS+ games and demos, and have them alphabetically sorted. I am a bit OCD with it.
It’s funny how if you reset the PS3 File System that all the games default to alphabetical, but there is no way to keep them like that.
So, anyway I am just wondering why you guys have not implemented alphabetical sorting in a firmware update. And no, folders are not the same, and folders are not what I am asking.

  • @neuropunk

I just read your posts directed at me and others on “The Drop” and first of all I’m not going to STFU! Secondly if you are so OCD about something as minor as alphabetical sorting of your games then maybe you should be seeing your Dr. about upping your meds!! You cry about the most stupid things on just about every blog! Grow up and deal with it!

  • It would be great if the administrators here would actually reply to more than 5 comments seeing as there’s nearly 700.

Hitman is a good game but looking at the EU line up, USA has been getting the short straw for a long time. 3 AAA PS3 titles in comparison to the 1 AAA PS3 title in US. It’s great that they try and make Vita more dominant but you shouldnt really let your actual customer base of PS3 owners down.

I joined the US Plus service last month and im sort of regretting it already, I really loved playing Mafia 2 and was sure it would come up to the US service along with NFS (i mean why wouldnt they, a lot of people seeing from the comments are upset that NFS for one – didnt). So far i’m kind of regretting the purchase – 1 month in, ive gotten BF3 which ive had on PC and SR3 which ive had on PC too. It would be great to see more of the RPG games on the service, PS3 has so many exclusive RPGs that havent been up on the PS+ service.

More communication from the admins/mods would be highly appreciated, making the service “voter based” like the Steam Flash sales would be great!

    Just my opinion.

  • @ DrasticImage

There’s always been a big disparity between the EU and the US as far as Plus goes. I highly doubt that will ever change. The publishers have the final say in what games goes into the IGC. Also there are licensing issues that are different from region to region. Last month with BF3 was the first and only time I personally have ever seen the same game given to both at the same time, and I’ve been a member of Plus long before there was ever an IGC. It may not be fair but it’s the way it is.

  • For the record, I also lament the generally low impact of PS+ that we get. Occasionally a good title crops up but most are older games that most people played when they came out.

For the people complaining that EU+ is better, of course it is. Sony’s base in Europe is smaller than in NA. Therefore, PS+ gets better titles in EU because it is trying to expand its PS+ membership there with greater efforts than its already large base in NA. All it is doing in NA is placating its membership.

And for Vita owners, be happy with anything you get as all Sony thinks of it now is as a portable PS4 controller. It’s not a game system to them anymore.

  • nice sale

  • Please, give us Sine Mora for Vita our Startdust

  • Damn this is a whole lot of nothing but Hitman…. Lmfao first you guys reuse Jet Set Radio, and now Machinarium… this is just fantastic… I can’t wait until my membership expires next month so I can just jump ship and get an EU membership… Sony of America really knows how to show that they really care.
