Yep, that’s right, it’s finally here. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has been rebuilt from the ground up, and adventurers the world over will be able to begin their journey throughout Eorzea tomorrow with the start of Early Access, ahead of Tuesday’s official launch.
It’s a massively exciting time for the whole team, and we’d like to thank everybody that’s been involved in the beta phases until now. We really appreciate the enormous feedback and support sent along the way.
And for those of you who haven’t yet pre-ordered, it’s not too late. Order now (or any time before August 27th) and you’ll still be able to get in Early Access — a headstart on your new adventure into Eorzea.
Plus, you’ll get your hands on some exclusive in-game items:

Sorry not paying $40 for the game plus more for a subscription. I played the beta and didn’t enjoy enough to commit that much money. I’ll wait for either the access fee to drop or it to become free to play (which i doubt considering how stubborn Square is).
Going to have to agree with Ryumoau … the game still kind of lacking a little and the cost of playing doesn’t really match the quality sadly to warrant that kind of commitment.
i didnt have enough online friends to enjoy an MMORPG with a monthly fee.
Im going to do what most people would do. Search at ustream or nicodouga for a live video of people playing the game and probably say “meh~”

For being an mmo, theres not much of a multiplayer aspect, from what I played.
This will be my first MMO ever! I very much enjoyed the beta! :)
And can’t wait to play it on PS4 once that version is released!
I’m going to have to wait and see if there is a way to pay for the sub of this game through the playstation store that would be the only way I would want to pay for this title since game cards for square are not sold near me and not putting billing info onto another service
Okay so… when and where do we pay for our services!? If we have to wait… that’s annoying. I’ll forget. I’m forgetful. Unless they send me an email… next thing I know I’ll get a notice “subscription ended” or something. I’m glad the first month is free (and I’m currently downloading the update to play ahead of time since I have it pre-ordered) but I want to prepay and then set up auto-pay so I don’t have to worry about it until I get sick of the game and decide to suspend or terminate my account. Can I just pay from the PSN account on my PS3 like when I buy some from the PS Store?? That would make it sooo nice. My info is already stored on there. I don’t understand this bull Crysta nonsense.

OK. Where is my Collector’s Edition content? I bought the game from PSN. I have received no code and no content in game. I’ve been playing the early access for a few hours and have looked everywhere for this stuff. It shows in my service list that I have the collector’s edition but no content

Im am absolutely disappointed with this early release. I haven’t been able to login all weekend due to server full status and my que being too high and getting pushed back to the start menu. This is absolutely ridiculous and should be compensated for purchasing this for early release material w/ collector’s edition material. very disappointed..

FFXIV 1.0 was a total failure 3 years back. After 3 years FFXIV ARR is now released and its still a mess for PS3 players who bought the game from PSN. Fix it or just give up on Final Fantasy. It was much better before with square soft.

The early access is having a lot of bugs including mostly people can’t join NA/EU servers don’t appear or error or your character is still log in errors please fix those bugs so that launch we can all enjoy the game at it fullest.
Despite the server log in issues, this game is the most fun MMORPG I’ve played yet, and the story is great for a Final Fantasy game. I want to play more but I can’t log in lmao. I hope the server problems is fixed before official launch.
Early access has been a cluster IMHO. I’ve barely been able to play due to emergency maintenance, error codes galore, and full servers. This early access is worse than the beta phases… =[ I want to plAAaAaay!
just give me FFHD remake already. and ill buy this if its free to play if not well… count me out.
I’m having a problem getting logged into the game. I have not been able to get to the part to even create a character yet. I keep getting the same error 2002 over again. Is anyone else experiencing this problem and does anyone know how to correct it?
so I have the ps3 version, but i am getting a ps4. Anyone know if ill have to buy the ps4 version as well if I want to play on that instead?
