Prepare to destroy some aliens — Galaga Legions DX can be downloaded for free with Instant Game Collection access this week. This arcade classic shoot-‘em-up pits you against waves of aliens called Galaga, but they’re basically space bees (“NOOOOOO! NOT THE BEES!!!!”). PS Vita Summer Select is ending this week with Dragon Fantasy Book II, the sequel to, you guessed it, Dragon Fantasy Book I. Finally, there’s a ton of Call of Duty content on sale, including Modern Ware & Black Ops bundles, so check it out.

87 – I HATE that argument. “Don’t like it? Don’t pay for it!” Does it have to be pointed out that PSN purchases are non returnable?
I’m a new PS Plus member for this year (just started last March 2013) and I can say that I think it would be beneficial to have discounts on all Day 1 Digital releases done giving away games that would cause hate, Eventhough I am getting free games. I am most certainly still buy the new ones. And, I think the discounts are a very big plus on the playstation plus (put emphasis on PLUS) subscription. For me, IGC is just for me to try out games that entirely new to me. With this IGC, I fell in love with Disgaea and Saints Row series (which I didn’t bothered checking out awhile back).
So, in summary, please.. can we have Day 1 Digital discounts instead of PSP, not so so good games

Well, I don’t usually go with these posts, but this week, the update was pretty week. Even the discounts were pretty bad. I would rather see a game like Galaga Legions on the Vita instead of on the PS3. I will most likely never play this, the PS3 has too many games that are better than this one, to waste my time playing Galaga (even though I do like Galaga a lot).
Apart from this minor complaint, what really bothers me is that I am not able to play games such as Metal Gear Portable Ops, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon on my PS Vita. Why is it taking so long for these compatibility issues to be solved, especially considering that in other regions they do not exist? This kind of request for explanation is seldom replied to, but nevertheless, I would like to formalize, again, my dissatisfaction for not being able to play them on a US PS Vita.
If you’re gonna have a Call of Duty sale, sad to see there’s no discount for the classic COD1.

Oh thanks for Galaga..its been a damn long time since I last played a Galaga game..think that was back on PS1….I’m eager to try this one out…I love me some shoot-‘em-up….on another hand…I’m quite disappointed with that CoD sale….I was expecting some DLC sale…its been years that I’m waiting on a sale for Black Ops DLCs.
BTW will there be a demo for that Dragon Fantasy game?

I’m also actually looking forward to Galaga Legions. Galaga was the game I put the most quarters into during my 80s arcade days that didn’t feature an Italian plumber.

I am not sure that I am going to renew my PS+, there really hasn’t been anything worth paying for PS+ for awhile. I am buying Dragon Fantasy II and getting $3 off is nice but I think I would rather pay the $3 extra than pay for PS+.
I already got Galaga and the discounts are pretty meh… COD really!? I still don’t understand how the people play those overrated games a lot…

i finnaly pulled the plug on a 1 year ps plus membership last month, and so fat hitman absolution is the only IGC game that has got me exited…i hope some more high profile games get on IGC this fall…
I already own the CoD games, so I won’t be buying the bundles. That said, I would almost definitely pick up the DLC maps if there was a Plus discount.

Some of the issues have been patched, but on the whole it’s still a big heaping steaming pile. Even at $8 I wouldn’t bite. $5, maybe. DLC included.
Another horrible week, if you look at last weeks comments its about 380 complaint post about how horrible that week was and how many were unsubscribing but this week is worse and Im glad I didn’t renew my sub. If you as the consumers want Sony to listen to you and offer better deals and better games for the IGC then unsubscribe and tell them what you want, only that way will they start making PS Plus more appealing and try to get more people to subscribe.

I don’t particularly care about the lineup, seeing as 50$ opposed to 45 euros or whatnot is obviously less money, and I’m glad with anything that comes across, but when you offer “MAD DISCOUNTS $$$SAVINGS$$$”, and then the same game goes on the IGC next month, you pull out the “read the ToS” card and don’t offer proper refunds, although I understand why, some people never learn.
Thankfully, I learned my lesson, and now I know just to keep my PSN+ sub (for the time being at least), and never buy ANYTHING unless its a dollar/two with trophy support like Nun Attack and stuff, because it’ll go on the IGC within a month and a half.
At least if I bought Rayman retail I could resell it after getting it on the IGC.
Please stop doing this, you’re getting enough hate on the comments as it is, and I’d really like it if a red guy were to reply to my post, just to see what you think about this.
For those crying about nothing for them this week, your problem is that either you keep buying games to quickly. When you need to let your PS Plus membership do its job. And Sony can’t make everyone happy whether your disappointed about the games you get sounds like a personal problem.
To everyone saying they’ll cancel their PS+…if you’re getting a PS4, remember you’ll need it to play online, so you may want to think twice.
Also, I’ve mostly enjoyed having Plus so far. May not always have something I want, but the money I’ve saved has made it a good investment. Can’t wait for Dragon Fantasy Book II. Book I was awesome!

I received an email about referring PS+ plans to friends of mine, so they would receive a 30-day trial and, if each decided to subscribe to PS+, we would gain $5.
Codes started to be sent, but my friends are complaining that they’re asked to enter a credit card in order to redeem the 30-day trial. Please, could you confirm this promotion or is that a hoax. I’m truly concerned about it.

My membership ends in one month. Over the last 5 months, I can’t remember more than 2 games I have bothered to download. The only reason I renew is that I have games from the past that I got through PS+ that I still want access to.
Last month I actually got more value from Xbox Live Gold’s 2 free games.

Is it just me or is PS Plus starting to be a big waste of money? They give out a bunch of crappy games for free that nobody wants and they’re not even actually free to keep. And the deals they have on games aren’t even that good of deals half the time anymore…those cod prices this week are insane seeing that u can get modern warfare for like 4 dollars at gamestop or any other game store. I’m about done paying for ps plus anymore…:-(

What are the chances for us to get any Resistance Game (I’m looking at you, Resistance Retribution!) as part of the ICG? Love this franchise! Retribution is a completely different (and better) game with the 2nd analog stick!
@Lucius and that’s where we differ. literally the last game on the entire planet I would want via PS+ is WWE, so I guess maybe it truly is just a matter of ‘they can’t please everyone’. I’m pretty pleased with all the indy titles, they’re games in some cases I didn’t even know existed that I’m really glad to play.
And a lot of the full games that the EU version are getting are games I wouldn’t ever want anyways. All told I’m completely satisfied with PS+. But again, it’s a case of ‘you can’t please everyone’… if they gave the games you wanted, I’d be miserable with PS+.
Mind you, nto to say I’ve liked EVERY PS+ game, but I’m getting at least 1 a month, usually two, that I’m pleased with, so I have few complaints.
As far as feedback goes, to the powers that be… I would DEARLY love to see some JRPGs added to the PS+ lineup. It’s probably my one big criticism that you’re vastly underserving such a significant portion of your long-term fanbase… people who love JRPGs have generally stayed with Sony since the PS1 days and we’d love to see some of them come to PS+.
I thought last month was great. I played the heck out of Hitman and Runner 2. This month is pretty much a joke. I mean two on-rail shooters really? I might get some enjoyment out of Galaga but overall I’m pretty disappointed in this months line up.
