PS Plus: Galaga Legions DX Free for Members, Call of Duty Discounts

Kristine Steimer's Avatar Posted by Sr. Community Specialist

Prepare to destroy some aliens — Galaga Legions DX can be downloaded for free with Instant Game Collection access this week. This arcade classic shoot-‘em-up pits you against waves of aliens called Galaga, but they’re basically space bees (“NOOOOOO! NOT THE BEES!!!!”). PS Vita Summer Select is ending this week with Dragon Fantasy Book II, the sequel to, you guessed it, Dragon Fantasy Book I. Finally, there’s a ton of Call of Duty content on sale, including Modern Ware & Black Ops bundles, so check it out.

These PS Plus benefits will be available after the PlayStation Store updates tomorrow, 9/10.

I already own cod: mw3 and bo2. Why are the maps for mw3 not on sale? I would gladly buy all 4 collections if they were discounted–weak.

Hey Kristine, nice update. Nothing me for this week but it would be nice if you discounted the modern warfare 3 dlc separately next week :)

Can’t wait for ICO!

Is Killzone: Mercenary going to be free (or at least discounted) for PS+ subscribers?

I like the options this week, knowing all these discounts are here. Would just like to say that Velocity Ultra should be in the IGC mix– not for me, but for those who need to experience this awesome game for Vita. A bientot.

I was really hoping to get to play Ico this weekend before GTA V comes out. Looks like I will never play Ico.

More ps plus “free” garbage”. Step your F’ing game up Sony/PS.
I feel like I wasted my money on ps plus.

@thelookey6 Again with the lies. You just don’t quit, will you? And I mean that you continue to argue with me when I want it dropped.

@xSP2PILOTx And who’s the blame to the one who’s wasting your money? One word, you.

I can’t find Galaga. It doesn’t show up on my ps+ free games, or when I search for it under galaga, legions, or dx. Anyone know where it is, or how I can get it to show up?

@tbx59 Same issue here. I went to go download it and it’s nowhere to be found on the store.

I also tried to find Galaga Legions DX on the ps store and could not find it anywhere, even under a search. Tried to purchase it online and it stated the page was not available. How do we access this game?

*Correction, as a ps plus member I tried to download the game, not purchase it…nonetheless, the game is apparently nowhere to be found on the store at the current time.

WOOOOOWWW!!!! Us Plus subscribers are getting GALAGA? For reals? I wonder what’s up for next month… I hope its that ol’ classic PONG!!! If you guys wanna get creative and make my head spin you just throw in a First Person Shooter! That would be innovative! (Sarcasm sign)

to the people demanding sony not make free and not discount specific types of games, “no more indies!” “no more rpgs!” “no more fighting games!” “no more psp games” shut up! everybody has different tastes and i would personally be bummed out if the were no indie games on offer or no rpgs, and i missed out on a lot of great psp games so i think its great that they offer those! how about you politely make suggestions for more of the type of stuff you do want rather than be a jerk and demand they not offer stuff you personally dislike?

This is just terrible Sony. This is why I stopped my ps plus membership. Europe has much much much better community and free games. The American is just awful.
