  • PS PLUS vita IGC Wish list:

    Oct – Mortal Kombat/psp
Nov- LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes/psp
Dec- Silent hill book of memories/psp.

    Thanks.

  • @TucoMcFly it’s a current console, why shouldn’t they support Vita with the IGC? 2-3 Ps3 games and 2 Vita games each month, that’s how it works until the PS4 comes out.

  • Why doesn’t more people just get E.U. ps plus. I have both and while yes I have been enjoying my E.U. games more and cannot wait for Far cry 3, I feel The N.A. account has been worth $50 many times over.

  • Hazelbug-
Do you own a Vita? >_>

  • When we were asked a while back I said that I wouldn’t mind having PSP games included in our PS+ offerings if the PSP games were AAA. I figured there were enough great PSP games out there that this couldn’t be too bad. Not a single PSP game given away has been worth while yet. I’ve come to realize that the number of PSP games I wouldn’t be disappointed receiving is too small to to be worth the risk of continuing to include PSP in our free games every single month. I officially change my vote to not including PSP games in PS+ anymore, not that it matters.

This week I voted for Rayman as my favorite because that’s just a fantastic game and I’ll gladly play through the whole thing again on my Vita.

  • Dissapointing. Europe is getting Farcry 3,and Dragons Dogma next month. I bet Sony will take a dump on NA players again and give us some 10 year old game.

It’s ridiculous how Sony does this to NA players when we make up a huge percent of their market.

    Please give us better games.

  • you know what is incredible?! there are absolutely zero responses so far, for any of the comments. I think Kristine and the lot gave up on us, lol

  • @8) I think one of the reasons for the lack of “Big in Japan” could be the lack of interest in Japanese games as it is. Sure, some Japanese indie games are sneaking through, but especially J-RPGs, they used to be way more popular years ago, and now…not so much.

@18) I used to think the same thing…but considering that 50 bucks gets you a total amount of games in one year that could cost upwards of 5-6 hundred? They might as well be free. I paid 50 bucks for a year subscription, I’ve already got Saints Row 3, Hitman Absolution, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, two copies of Knytt and Machinarium, Galaga Legions, Metal Slug and Darkstalkers…that’s at least 200 bucks worth of games in only my first month or two of subscribing…so yeah, not technically free, but…what I’m getting makes it feel pretty free.

  • Sadly I’ml a bit disappointed by this week. The only thing that looks decent is Lone Survivor and I can wait till that’s knocked down quite a bit more before buying it.

Rayman Origins is something I wanted to play, but seeing as it’s the Vita version that idea was knocked down pretty quick as well. Guess I’ll just stick to Rayman 3.

Let’s hope that next month will be a better month.

  • If Sony can put BF3 up on PS+, They can sure as hell put a LOT of other good titles up.

  • 10% discount on Lone Survivor.. nice. I’ll use that on a hot pocket while I play what seems like a great game. :)

  • @94 LOL!

  • Looking forward to the October update because the last two months have been so meh that Sony knows they better bring it in October to keep subscribers!

  • 91 & 96) What? WHAT? so you are saying that you will gladly pay 600 bucks for a console just because “little kids” can’t afford it? WHAT? Yeah, because I’ll love to throw 600 bucks on a console. Forget about paying rent, bills and school. Just spend your money on videogames. Silly me. I’ll make sure to spend 900 bucks on the One and PS4.
About EU Plus: I live in the States. Why should I pay a service, that I already have here, just because Sony can’t get the games I want? Your comparison is wrong. This isn’t Walmart vs Gamestop. You pay with Euros in Europe. Different people, different languages.

  • Rayman Origins is absolutely fantastic on the Vita — one of the top retail 5 Vita games, I’d say (along with Uncharted GA, Gravity Rush, LittleBigPlanet and Persona 4 Golden). It’s a definite asset to the IGC. I can’t wait to try the sequel on the Vita.

Limbo is a great game if you’ve missed it, but I agree that the price isn’t right at $11.99 unless you’re really dying to play it on the Vita. It’s only a 3-4 hour experience, and being a few years old with some better prices in its history, it’s hard to recommend it at that price.

As far as indie games on the Vita go, Spelunky is a great value at any price. Guacamelee is also a solid purchase with some great longevity and replay value in its sidequests and easter eggs.

  • Fairly week this outing. Not sure about Lone Survivor. About a 2 hour game per play through. Not sure if it’s worth it. Looks cool though! I have a feeling Ni No Kuni will be added to the IGC soon with that massive price drop from $54.99 to $19.99 and people clamoring for more jrpgs. :D

  • So I take it that we possibly won’t get the deal what EU had offered to them from Gamescon, which was you buy a year of Plus & get 3 months free. If sothat’s horrible, so is this what’s being offered to NA Plus members from BestBuy then. That’s cool and all but EU offering is better .Well I hope this holiday we get the same deal EU got.

  • @Kristine Steimer “All of these PS Plus benefits will be available after the PlayStation Store updates tomorrow, 9/17.” … tomorrow is 24.

Nice to have Rayman, maybe I’ll renew my Plus subscription now.

  • September was a horrible month!! Let’s hope that October will be a lot better!!

  • Limbo for $11.99? I’m so glad I picked it up for $5.99 just the other week. Yikes guys, at least wait awhile before pulling something like that lol.

  • I really suggest games with online multiplayer for IGC gets a priority. I mean, how many reasons left are there to renew PS+ when the coming month content is weak, and you have finished all single player games from previous IGC. I love Wipeout 2048 and Blazblue. so when my PS+ ends, instead of buying those games, i might just renew my PS+. Well, maybe.

    #NOPSPIGC

    No PlayStation Pig, See?

  • Honestly, only way to enjoy PSN or Sony in general anymore is to just buy physically as much as you can, and then if the IGC throws some scraps your way, just sell the physical copies, at least THOSE are resellable.

Seriously, if someone already owns an IGC game, make it so he/she gets store credit back, depending on the time period which the game was bought.

    (Example: 10% of the game’s value deteriorates every month;
I buy Rayman Origins for the Vita in August
It goes on IGC in September
I get 90% store credit of how much I paid for that game back (make it so its a PSN+ feature only, obviously, and you have to be subbed for like a year or two)

This way you’re making us buy physical, and not consider digital AT ALL.
At least physical you can sell for at least 10% the price you paid for it after a year, often times more, so don’t say it’s not possible.

Or you can…you know, not put games that have been on sale before on the IGC, and backstab customers and therefore keep sales?
I’ve bought games full price on PSN, and I never regretted them even if they end up being like 80% cheaper in 2 years, but when you pull Rayman Origins on us, it’s really evident you have no regard for the consumer.

  • @ ghostwize 118 The developer said it was 4-5 hours per playthrough. I’ll be buying it tomorrow for sure. Looks really fun!
My playstation plus expires on Oct 7th. I have been a subscriber for 2 years, and unless the ps + monthly update for Oct. is actually good, I’ll be letting my subcription lapse for the first time ever. Not a threat, it’s a fact. Sorry my $1.30 discount on Lone Survivor and a vita game you sold for $6 last month doesn’t get me that excited.

  • Hi Kristine

First I know you probably didn’t have much to do with the plus games for the months you’ve taken over for so far and even including October or probably November. However there is a big problem here our content doesn’t really hold a candle to our EU brothers and sisters. The plus games we get are ok but then we see them get stellar AAA titles and we feel neglected. We see the EU sales some plus related some not plus related and they literally blow ours away month after month week after week.

You gotta understand once ps4 owners have to buy plus to go online Sony NA has to step up the content and look as good as Sony EU. Heck to be honest even their comments come off better than you guys. They’ll mention to consumer that’s not coming int he near future or one of those is coming real soon but you guys don’t or won’t.

Don’t take it the wrong way love you guys and all but you gotta do something I mean they are getting Far Cry 3 in October for crying out loud.

  • I just cannot see what kind of business sense it makes to have your customers to buy a game at a discounted rate, just to be given the same game “free” with their paid subscription.

What is the benefit to keeping my paid subscription current, if I already own the “free” games that come with it?

I’ve simply stopped looking at PS+ as a way to pad out my game collection with good titles. It’s really nothing more than a paid discount service at this point.

A place for indie developers to dump their $.99 games, and for ancient PSP games to get a second wind.

  • @118

Months ago Morgan asked us in a survey what types of games we wanted to come to plus. We overwhelming requested rpgs thisn was early really early this year. Just look and see how many rpgs we’ve gotten so far.

Oh and EU has gotten several and they are getting Dragon’s Dogma on Wednesday

  • why do people keep mentioning the EU sale – don’t you recall that PS+ members actually had a big in Japan sale on numerous titles for the vita and at prices far below 50%

actually the US has more more sales and savings with plus than those of us in the EU get.

Is it not enough that you get hardware and software cheaper than EU – in case you haven’t noticed both the £ and the euro are worth more than the $. If something cost $14.99 on PSN then in the UK we pay £11.99 and continental Europe pays 14.99 euros – Better yet games on US PSN that cost $59.99 they try to charge £59.99 and even more on continental Europe’s PSN do the math or better yet go to a currency converter site.

You also have far more games on your store than the EU does – we are still waiting for Ratchet Gladiator, Storm, Closure, Muramasa Rebirth, Xenogears, Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger etc etc

So Sony throws a bone to Europe (their largest market outside of Japan) by giving us supposedly better games to our IGC, the irony being that most of those games you get as well. You also get better sales, free dlc, more avatars etc etc etc We in Europe pay more and get less – we subsidize the US gaming market

  • Personally I loved September because I wanted all 3 PS3 games.

    Ico is a classic.

Move shooters are old school fun(anybody remember Terminator 2 in the arcades?)

Way better than Hitman or the same FPS stuff every month. I hope they keep up the variety of game genres.

  • @126 another Sony apologist. Look at my comment #53

  • Seeing that promotion of Gamestop to get 1 month of Plus free after buying 3…how about you bring back the Buy 1 year get 3 months free…..I need to renew my subscription in January and a promotion like that is very welcome.Come on Sony make it happen.

PS:Bring back the old format of Plus…PS1 classics, avatars and themes for free as well.(PS2 classics too now)

  • oh woe is me …. bad lineup this week … though those pinbalistic dlc look tempting … though i doubt ill play it anytime soon … oh well at least im getting rayman vita back… passed & sold it already XD those 3 + 1 ps plus months are a good deal though :) i can extend my membership :) thats cool

  • oh wait i take it back thats just at best buy lol i thought it was on the ps store XD

  • web we don’t care aboute you ps3 updates no one is going to own a ps3 as of 2 mouth anyways another nice update another alsome game for ps vita

  • Seeing how good the vita looked at TGS and now this incredible free games in it .. well i sure will get one as soon as the new model hits the shelves .. when is that btw?

  • weak update and plus game u.u
I want good games like Europe Plus !!

  • @punkmusic2009

You really should try gaming less and reading more. Your spelling is absolutely atrocious! And the PS3 isn’t going anywhere at anytime soon, so go read a book!!

  • The price of LIMBO is still really high :/
I’m about to get my plus subscription expired and i’m really considering not to renew.
Yes, i do understand what do you mean by “FREE” but let me tell you… it ain’t free if i’m paying a subscription.
I really don’t have any problem with the IGC, but the last sales were really weak, with the exception of the one with ridge racer, umvc3, doa5+, etc…
I’m really happy with Rayman Origins, i’ve been waiting for this update, yes, but please, youn have to improve the quality of the sales.
Thanks in advance and keep up the good work.

  • I’ve been waiting for Rayman Origins to go back on sale. I missed it when it was $5. This is awesome. Gotta clear some space on my memory card.

  • Amazing! Own it on the PS3 but will thoroughly enjoy it on the Vita as well!

  • Please bring Dragon’s Dogma to NA :)

  • Nothing for me this year, please add new Plus subscription options.

They only use I get out of plus is auto-update + cloud saves, make a cheaper package for Plus without the IGC please!!!!

  • @ 129, Im really looking forward to Dragon’s Dogma, looks super fun.

  • Sorry if this has already been addressed; Is Lone Survivor cross-SAVE?

  • Great with rayman origins! :D but weak discounts guys :/ I hope it get better next month.

  • I just bought a Vita last week, when we getting discount for vita games like Street Fighter x Tekken, Ultimate marvel vs capcom, Jak Trilogy, earrth defense force, cause when i check EDF they were priced at 19.99, now i checked and its 39.99, i didnt know it was a discount…. i missed the chance to get my favorite game, anyways, hoping for better discount for vita games, not just indies.

  • when will it be available?

  • This month is pitiful. Oh good, a sale on pinball, I haven’t got enough of those lying around. I didn’t even bother adding this month’s games to my library, they have been THAT bad.

And of course, like every other month, the PS+ blog team will be sure to ignore all of the comments that criticize the selection. Here’s to hoping that my comment is at least read and considered, if not replied to. Not sure if I plan to renew my subscription again, as long as I figure out how to turn off the auto-subscribe that got me earlier this month by surprise.
