Sony Rewards, 01

We want to thank you, our devoted community, for your incredible support throughout the years. That’s why today, we’re pleased to announce a new, PlayStation-specific integration into the Sony Rewards program, where you can earn points by doing what you love.

Sony Rewards members can redeem points for the latest games, PlayStation Store cash, PlayStation Plus memberships, Bravia TVs, movies, music, and even unique VIP gaming experiences.

Sony Rewards, 02

With Sony Rewards, there are a variety of ways to earn points. Members can earn points for every $1 spent when shopping at PlayStation Store, Sony Entertainment Network online store, and Sony Store. The Sony Rewards program also has great offers with a variety of online retailers. Members can earn points for PlayStation and Sony purchases at retailers such as Gamestop.com, Bestbuy.com, Target.com, and Walmart.com when loged in to Sony Rewards, while shopping through Sony Rewards Points Plus.

Sony Rewards, 03

Members can also earn points on a variety of limited time bonus offers, such as buying a 1-year PlayStation Plus membership on PlayStation Store, watching select movies, and uploading movie ticket stubs on SonyRewards.com.

Not to mention that PlayStation card members can earn even more points for PlayStation and Sony purchases. The card receives 10x points on all PlayStation Store purchases, 3x points on all PlayStation and Sony purchases at Sony Stores, 3x points at quick service restaurants and movie theaters, and 1 point for every dollar spent everywhere else.

Sony Rewards, 04

To get started, you can join Sony Rewards and link your Sony Entertainment Network (SEN) account. This will allow you to automatically earn points on your PlayStation Store purchases and digital bonus offers. If you’re already a Sony Rewards member, simply link your SEN account to your existing Sony Rewards account. If you join by November 12th, 2013 you can take advantage of the 100 point sign up offer.

  • Sigh, and yet no love for Canada. Even Best Buy and Future Shop is having the Xbox One being demoed in store while the PS4 is being demoed only in the States. Don’t get why Sony is excluding Canada constantly.

  • Its a lie. Once you use the points on one thing you cant use more to get the same item like psn $$ codes. You people are crooks. I have 10000 points right now and I cant use them.

  • At least I can bit my gold trophies on costumes… Oh Canada!

  • Just another case of Sony not caring about Canada. There ARE millions of us up here – some attention would be a nice touch. You could really win over Canada by doing it since Microsoft doesn’t care about us either.

@100 why would we want that? We’d never get any posts there.

So, can we get a blog.canada.playstation.com website, so we can stop being shown contests and awesome things that are US only?

    I second that

  • Nice. I usually ignore these kinds of customer reward programs but I’ll definitely be taking advantage of this one, Sony for the win. :)

  • At least include Canada in the contests before offering them

  • Lack of support for Canadian residents is a little sad. I spend a ridiculous amount of money on games every year for both Nintendo and Sony and at least Club Nintendo recognizes Canada as part of North America.

  • Would be cool if you guys did the same as Nintendo Club where you can register your games for points.

  • exactly, I’m platinum within the first quarter of every year just from game purchases. Would be the same for Vita purchases if they had the same type of localization support that nintendo does

  • @Kristine I just signed up and linked my PSN name to my account but I don’t see the 100 points for signing up. Any idea when those will be applied?

  • This is my only question that’s gonna be a make or break if I sign up, for me;

is there an expiration date for the points you earn? If there is I won’t bother. One program that I won’t name makes you spend $250 just to get five dollars, and whenever a year passes since you’ve signed up your points go away.

  • Spacerac

I have the PS credit card. My expiration dates are 5 years. Some people are saying that without the card it is only one year. I can only speak from my experience so, it is 5 years on my end.

ARE YOU JOKING ME…WHEN IT COMES OUT IN CANADA THE REWARDS BETTER BE RETROACTIVE NO JOKE AT LEAST LINK THE REWARD POINTS FROM THE INTIIAL PURCHASE OF PS4 OBVIOUSLY ON THE DAY OF PURCHASE/FIRST TIME SIGNING IN PLUS ALL GAMES ACTIVATED COUNTS AS PURCHASED….

YOU GUYS NEED TO RELEASE THINGS GLOBALLY THIS SHOULDNT BE A MARKET TEST

  • Looks like I have to switch to Xbox one. Sony wont recognize me because I am Canadian…..

  • *rolls eyes. Not available in Canada. Why am I not surprised?

Cause we’re too polite to piss and moan about it? XD

  • I click get rewarded on the playstation rewards page and then I get a ” website cannot load” message

  • What would be cool is if you got reward points for the trophies that you get, lol that wouldn’t happen though because you guys don’t have a monitoring system for detecting cheaters though =(

  • Alguien me puede ayudar me registre y no me dieron los 100 puntos al registrarse o unirse alguna ayuda de parte de los usuarios o sony ?? gracias y saludos

Someone can help me and I did not record 100 points to register or join any help from users or sony?? thanks and regards

  • Just signed up! Immediately after i bought 12 months of PlayStation Plus so i guess i wont get points for that, but oh well.

  • @CyborgGreyFox That would certainly be appreciated, I just carved a bloody tearaway pumpkin for the #winitwed contest before realizing that I can’t actually win…

  • No Canada usage? Dumb.

  • I would really love this, it’s a shame it’s (again) not available in Canada. Come on Sony, we have feelings too, lol. I really hope they’ll add this really soon in Canada… :(

  • This got me excited, and then I realized that this does not apply to Canada :(

Geez why did they make me read all that? They should at least say it’s US ONLY in the title or at the beginning, so we can stop reading.

Why are we always excluded from promotions? Guess they don’t want my money.

  • I was mistakenly locked out of my account. I tried to answer the security question twice and failed, I went back and that gave me an error and told me to hit refresh. I did so and it considered that a third failure and locked me out of my account.

I called 1-888-715-7669 like I was told and I WAS ON HOLD FOR NEARLY AN HOUR. 52 minutes and 37 seconds exactly before I gave up.

    This is TERRIBLE customer service.

  • I linked my account yesterday. I got my Sony credit card a couple of days ago, but for some reason I can’t link it. I always have problems with the store when I need to add a CREDIT card. Debit cards work fine, but sometimes I gotta skip sales because I don’t have money (school, rent, bills).

  • Hi, i am quite new here, i just sign up for psn+ on my SEN yesterday and recently just heard of sony reward. Could i still get rewarded for that 250 point for signing to sony rewards today? It would be great to also have these great promotion show up on the account log in page so that all your members can take part in this program.

  • signed up last night and the 100 points is not there! checked again today and still no points!!!

  • “when loged in to Sony Rewards,” what is loged? ;)

Also, points do not add up as fast as you think unless you are spending a ton of money. Nice feature but it will take a while to earn a new release game or a system.

  • lol Europe does not have this reward program, too… not just yo Canadians…

@129 it was in reply before that it can take up to 5 business days…

which is not how a modern system should work! It should appear instantly! Get your work done Sony! this is not acceptable!

  • I think it’s pretty ignorant of Kristine to not even bother to update the post to state this is a US only offer, especially after I suggested this yesterday and there are dozens of comments from Canadians expressing frustration that this isn’t available on a North American basis.

I guess it’s pretty obvious that Sony North America doesn’t give a crap about anything besides the US, and can’t even take 2 minutes to update their post to contain information it should have contained originally.

    Typical.

  • OK… Signed!

    So…

When the 100 points is going to appear into my account?

  • I don’t know why I’d want it in Canada though…. It probably wouldn’t include Quebec, as usual.

  • Not available in Canada… :(

  • @Sony: Have you seen the comments section? The majority of comments about this program are about people who are dissatisfied that this program it doesn’t apply to Canada. That should tell you something.

As long as Canada is lumped in the North American region with the USA, we shouldn’t be treated second class gamers. Hope someone at Sony is reading all these unhappy comments, sounds like there’s a big market in Canada interested in this program is being neglected and under serviced. You should meet the demand and bring this program to Canada without delay for your Canadian consumers.

  • Okay folks, How much money do I have to spend to earn a reward? So 1000 points is a $10 Playstation credit?. $1 spent is 1 point? Is this a joke? I’m not falling for this! They should have better promotions than this… I will sign up if they give my $50 off a PS4… I will not be signing up!!!

  • @132 https://blog.playstation.com/ It is a U.S. based blog. They just post things for Canada, and they may apply, but the focus is the U.S. It’s not the North American Playstation Blog. Personally, I think SONY Playstation should start a blog for Canada as well. Why not? So many other countries have their own version already. They could clarify, but I would assume that these posts if not directed at Canada, or clearly stated in the description, that they are not yet part of the promotion or topic of the post.

  • I’m signed up. Doubt I’ll ever earn enough for any Rewards since I don’t have the credit card. Unless… You can earn rewards by registering movie ticket and DVD/Blu-ray purchases. Can I do the same thing with the PS4, extra controller, and game I’m buying in two weeks? An extra 500+ points may not be much but it could add to my 100 sign up points, PS+ renewal, Music Unlimited renewal, etc. Maybe in a year I’ll get $10 back.

  • I’d also like to know if (and when) this rewards program will be made accessible to Sony customers living outside the US at some stage? Or is it only organized by Sony America for its US customers? As many of my fellow gamers have already stated in their comments, there are lots of people around the world who spend their hard-earned money on PSN content, and it would certainly be nice for them to get some love back. :) Otherwise, I guess we ought to be a little frustrated…

  • How do I upload movie tickets?????

  • i got excited but i live in canada so it told me to f#$k off :{

  • I did not get my bonus points for signing up. And when I signed up for the credit card, it told me to click a button to link the accounts, but the button never showed up. Or at least I think I signed up for the credit card. I never got an email confirmation, and I couldn’t get through all the steps, since the button never showed up.

  • No love for Canada.

  • I have to agree, the link after the signup form is dead.

  • Will tis ever come to Canada ? or so we get shafted again ?

  • I’ve signed up for the Playstation Rewards, but I should have those 100 points as promised.

  • why doesnt this work for canada

  • why is it not available in the UK?!

  • Getting points for doing what I love, thank you PlayStation.
