PlayStation Plus: November Preview

Kristine Steimer's Avatar Posted by Sr. Community Specialist

It’s going to be quite the month for PlayStation fans. PS4 is almost here, and it’s going to be mega awesome when I fire mine up for the first time and already have two free games to play. Yep, both Resogun, the intense and beautiful shoot ‘em up from Housemarque(the amazing people behind Super Stardust) and Contrast, a unique 2D/3D puzzler platformer with a stunning art style will be available in the Instant Game Collection for PlayStation Plus members on November 15th.

Of course, we have plenty of other great games to keep you busy until then, like Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, which is an expanded and enhanced version of Capcom’s original IP Dragon’s Dogma. There’s a new area to explore, a fast-travel system and plenty of new quests and weapons to keep you busy. Later on this month we’ll add ibb & obb, a 2-player co-op puzzler and Binary Domain, a third-person squad shooter. PS Vita owners can look forward to two amazing action-adventure titles: the classic Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath and the ever-epic Soul Sacrifice.

These games will hit the Instant Game Collection at various times throughout the month, so check back with us every Monday morning to see all the benefits of your membership.

Any VITA Owners, I really suggest you pick up Soul Sacrifice.. it’s a fantastic game, hours & hours of gameplay with amazing graphics, it’s a very similar game to Monster Hunter so if you have played that, you will love Soul Sacrifice

Lol. There are those who complain when NA games aren’t the same as EU and those who complain when they are.

Nice if we could get Stranger’s Wrath for PS3 at some point. :)

But for now I’m looking forward to Ibb & Obb. Will check out the others as well.

I’m not planning to buy ps4 until December. Will I still be able to save both playstation 4 titles even though I don’t have a ps4?

Awesome month!!! I was just about to pick up Dark Arisen since I had traded my original copy of Dragon’s Dogma awhile back, really looking forward to Oddworld as well. I have Strangers wrath on my PS3 but it will be very nice to have it wherever I want. One question though, is Oddworld cross save compatible at all?

Twilightknight69 said:

For those of us not getting a PS4, Keep the PS3 stuff coming, and never forget us. Plus is good this month, might grab all three games for PS3. Keep up the good picks.

1. I’m unfamiliar with Dragons Dogma DA, is it a spinoff of the first game or first + an expansion?

2. Will we be seeing a change of the 3 core Vita instant game collection titles?

Great month, keep up the good work.

Ottoroyal said:

I own all the vita additions, however it will help to have more soul sacrifice players online. Especially if they are more reasonable with their strategies. I’m sure both of the vita games are just to promote future games and installments. Although, 2 AAA games for PS3 is incredible. Can’t wait for my roommate to get his PS4 this Christmas

Even though there isn’t much there for me this month I can tell that this is a terrific update. I’ve been waiting on a sale for Stranger’s Wrath for the longest time but I guess this will have to do ;).

Having sad that, will we also be seeing a refresh to the Vita’s long-term IGC this month?
