It’s going to be quite the month for PlayStation fans. PS4 is almost here, and it’s going to be mega awesome when I fire mine up for the first time and already have two free games to play. Yep, both Resogun, the intense and beautiful shoot ‘em up from Housemarque(the amazing people behind Super Stardust) and Contrast, a unique 2D/3D puzzler platformer with a stunning art style will be available in the Instant Game Collection for PlayStation Plus members on November 15th.

Of course, we have plenty of other great games to keep you busy until then, like Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, which is an expanded and enhanced version of Capcom’s original IP Dragon’s Dogma. There’s a new area to explore, a fast-travel system and plenty of new quests and weapons to keep you busy. Later on this month we’ll add ibb & obb, a 2-player co-op puzzler and Binary Domain, a third-person squad shooter. PS Vita owners can look forward to two amazing action-adventure titles: the classic Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath and the ever-epic Soul Sacrifice.

These games will hit the Instant Game Collection at various times throughout the month, so check back with us every Monday morning to see all the benefits of your membership.

Sorry but I HATE this month of PS+. Nothing for me. Why does EU PS+`gets awesome big AAA titles yet we get half decent games? Yes every single game in the world has something to offer even if it’s as little as background music and you’ll always say good things about the games offered (it’s part of your job) but honestly you can’t compared these PS3 games to franchises like Metal Gear Solid, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, (any Rockstar franchise), Need for Speed, Resident Evil, Mafia, Mass Effect, etc. They get sometimes 1 year old AAA games and we get half decent old games most of the times. Please offer better games for PS3! PS Vita has gotten REALLY good. I’m glad PS4 is getting something. I just hope PS3 games don’t start to become just 1 per month and as NOT AWESOME as it’s been these last few months. Being America it should be all over big tiltes that sell well. Why is EU getting what we should also have?

Wow! To all of you who have never played Dragon’s Dogma. You’re in for a treat. This was my Game of the Year in 2012.

Agreed. This is the best month of Plus since its introduction. Ibb&Obb on PS3 and Stranger’s Wrath on Vita is the standout for me, along with the PS4 titles.

Good month (Y), now this is a PS Plus update. Sucks I have and Platinum’d Soul Sacrifice. Funny I haven’t bought Strangers wrath because I had a feeling it would be on PS Plus, and it would have been annoying if I owned both Vita titles when they give great titles. Now I know you guys are going to change the long running 3 games for Vita this month. Why don’t you guys just announce it now? I know someone is going to end up buying the games that show up. But with my luck I already own em lol

HollyLynnFTW said:

Really loving the amount of games I pay full price for that just end up on Plus shortly thereafter.

I will definitely give those games a try. I am looking at the comments here and I am going to try some of the games that people are recommending. I have a PS3, Vita and I will be getting a PS4 delivered on launch. I ordered PS+ in late August, so plenty of time to enjoy it. Plus doesn’t always have what I want, but with plenty of time left for my membership, surely there will be more to look forward to.

WICKED MONTH GUYS! THANK YOU! These are all games i’ve been wanting to buy ,but haven’t yet.

It definitely makes up for the past 2 months where everything you guys put up aside from one ,or 2 games i already owned. This is sweet

Saying my comment again in more detail because I was in a rush this morning: I’m very happy we’re finally getting Dragon’s Dogma. That’s a title EU got and I look forward to playing that game. I had no intention to buy it on disc because it was by Capcom and now I can try it out so I know what was the hype about when the original came out last year. Although I have Soul Sacrifice already from a couple of months ago, I’m going to let my friend know since he’s signing up for PS+ this November and both of us can play together. Best PS+ update than all those other previous months. :)

@IIL0YDII I’m not the one who’s demanding Sony to get his Crash and Spyro like you, finally giving up and then starts criticizing at Sony updates. You don’t have a life, do you? You’re the one who fails hard. You should stop posting at this blog and keep your insults to yourself if you know what’s good for you.

@luvmyR6 Because you think it’s fun. Don’t worry, I don’t like that moaner either.

OMG! What a month!! 10/10 this time, could not expect that coming!
I have Dragon’s Dogma normal version, and am glad to be getting Dark Arisen now! :)
And of course, im very very glad to be able to play Soul Sacrifice, I dont have this one on my Vita yet!

My Vita collection now is awesome with Sine More, Soul Sacrifice, Gravity Run and Zero Escape (not couting my Persona 4 and Dragon’s Crown that I bought already). *-*

Also Binary Domain seems a very nice game that I would not buy, but am really glad to to play it now.

And… Im getting my PS4 at launch. Am glad to see Resogun!! Contrast also seems a nice game! Not too happy about not being able to play DriveClub at launch though, but its good to know they are doing some nice upgrade at the title; the latest videos seems amazing.

Keep it up with that quality! October was also great!

Amazing month! Love to see some RPG love. Very excited to play Dragons Dogma, Ibb and Obb and Soul Sacrifice. Also two PS4 titles at launch, both of which look like stellar titles, this is the best month of PS+ yet. Great job to the whole team!

BelugaBaleia said:

October 31st, 4:37 pm

Great month! IKristine, can we ‘buy’ the PS4 games in the PS3 Playstation Store, like we can with the Vita games?

TJF588 said:

October 31st, 5:01 pm

Really, Plus team? The one PLAY game I chose, the only exclusive of that set, ibb & obb, and that’s the one you’re gonna hand off so soon after that set’s promotional debut?

My other beef is that, in my longing for “RPG”s, I mean old-school JRPG stylings, not Western as I’d assume Dragon’s Dogma is. Wanna say it was DD that my friend was very excited about trying himself, so I’ll need to dig in at it; just not my sensibilities’ sort of headliner.

Semi-bleh, since I don’t have a Vita yet, are we experiencing another case of offering the “other version” of a game that passed up on Cross-Buy? Still reeks of a weak cop-out.

DoubleAgent90 said:

October 31st, 5:01 pm

Well even though it looks good i have to say im kind of disappointed about this month just a little bit …

TJF588 said:

October 31st, 5:01 pm

While Binary Domain’s prolly not gonna see action from me (by default, but also from the review at SMPS.Net), I am interested in Resogun and very interested in Contrast, but it’ll be a while before I’d be making a PS4 investment, so thank progress with the SEN web store. With Soul Sacrifice’s add-ons finished up, I could check what all that hubbub has been over too… ‘cept, yeah, still no Vita, though I’ll definitely be vying for that “Vita TV” (PSP games, on the TV, without a heavy A/V cable holding down and back a flat controller? So game for that!)

This month’ll prolly be a bit of a wash for me, IGC-wise, but building up my PS4 games collection will hopefully incentivize me to get on getting the system.

DoubleAgent90 said:

October 31st, 5:06 pm

Plus PS4 Games? a little bit too soon? dont get me wrong it looks like the most amazing system but dont take for granted many will buy it soon due to the economy im not being a Jerk im just saying my opinnion here maybe add a shooter like CoD or Sniper Elite to the mix in December and i think i will be more than happy with PS Plus and save enough for a PS4 which i dont think will happen soon cause i bought the PS3 Super Slim Bundle last Xmas and I think the PS3 has still more potential than just rushing to the PS4 even if I think its gonna dominate Xbox 3 i mean One and WiiU. Cant wait for Dying Light it looks Promising and of course the new Killzone but last Killzone really fell down in the Ending, Again Just saying not trying to attack or piss someone off.

Holy crap. Contrast and Resogun are two of the 3 PS4 launch titles I’m interested in… Soul Sacrifice is a great Vita game, and I’ve been wanting to play Dragon’s Dogma again but I trade my old copy in in order to afford my PS4 preorder lol

This month alone justifies my year’s subscription to PS+.

Soul Sacrifice is one of the best games on the Vita, and if you have one, you need to play it. If you don’t have one, it’s worth buying one for.

Great Month!!

I played Dragons Dogma on the 360 when it came out and got every single achievement. One of the few games I’ve done that with. Beat it over 6 times and absolutely loved how the end game content was presented. One of my all time favorites. Will have to dig into Dark Arisen and platinum that once I pull myself away from GTA online. Once again, I can not stress enough how amazing of a game Dragons Dogma is. It’s just a masterpiece that is much deeper and complex than anyone could imagine. :D ENJOY IT!
