Hi everyone! We’ve released a new system software update for PS Vita, version 3.00. This update includes some great features, like a new application called PS4 Link, which — you guessed it — allows PS Vita to connect to PS4 for Remote Play and Second Screen capabilities. We’re thrilled for everyone to see how PS Vita will be the ultimate companion device to PS4 through this application.

PS4 Link
The PS4 Link app has been added to the PS Vita system’s home screen. With this application, you can use your PS Vita to remotely control a PS4 system, and play a range of PS4 games on your PS Vita screen. When you’re playing a game on PS4 that supports second screen features, you can also display information from that game on your PS Vita and use it as a second screen.
Parental Controls
The Parental Controls application has been added to the home screen. You can now manage the duration of game play, and the use of games and videos that have parental controls. You can also control access to certain areas of the system, including the use of the Internet browser and Location Data.
Photos
A Panoramic Camera setting has been added. You can now take panoramic photos on PS Vita, and look around the photo by using the PS Vita’s built-in motion sensor.
Friends
The application layout for Friends has been improved. There are now four tabs:
- Find Player on PSN
- Friends
- Friend Requests
- Players Blocked
Messages
The Group Messaging application name and icon have been changed to Messages. The application layout has also been improved, and you can now send and receive messages with friends and players on PS4 or on mobile devices installed with PlayStation App.
Party
The icon for the Party application has been changed. You can now voice chat and text chat with friends and players on PS4.
You can now sync the contacts saved in your email account from services including Gmail and Yahoo! Mail. To sync your contacts, select Contact List > Options > [CardDAV Settings] > [Add CardDAV Account], and then follow the screens.
Content Manager
You can now use Wi-Fi to connect your PS Vita to a PS3, and transfer data between them. Your PS Vita and PS3 must be connected within the same network. Also, to use this feature, the system software of the PS3 you’re using must be version 4.50 or later.
PS3 Remote Play
The Remote Play application name and icon have been changed to PS3 Remote Play.
Settings
You can now download future system software updates automatically.
Trophies
You can now display Trophies of PS4 software on your PS Vita. Rarity of the trophy cannot be displayed.

Yeah, this update is cool and all, but I believe the update has given me an error in the “My Friends” app. Every time I try to sign in on this gray screen, it loads, and then goes back to that screen straight after. That’s all it does; I can sign in to the PS Store, though.

Is there a way to turn to automatic snap off on the panoramic camera? It keeps slicing things in half. It’s super annoying.
With the new update I get logged out every time i open Friends or Messages apps,
The method I listed to fix MP games should also work to fix most of the other problems as well.
Dear sony can you please fix your latest update patch. It won’t let me log on with my vitas. Neither of them since this patch!
i updated, but now my psn apps wont connect :(
Now can we get classics other regions have already had for months? I really want to play some classics on my vita that eu and ja have had for what seems forever. Love the updates, but come on? I want to play some classics I never finished. And really finish out some series I never had the chance to get during original release….
When can we create song playlists straight from our vita?
ok i dont know if this issue is only happening to me but ill say it anyway
im geting a issue with sign-in to the PSN when in the party and friends app
it wont let me sign on to my account, after i press sign in under my id and password
it connects to my accunt then gets logged back out for some unknown reason.
and also add the parental controls app to the system live area like the Cross controller bubble
on the ps3 remote play live area.
another have an option to turn off the picture sound when u take a picture. i got yelled at when i tryied to take a picture of some birds and kangeroos (im in australia)
This was a cool update but now im having issues with music unlimited and other apps that requires to sign in it stops the apps to repeatedly ask to sign in. any one else had that too?

make more themes (the wave themes) or even a option to create ur own for example choose the colours and then the wave type (red and green with the basc wave).
this will be awsome make a TERRARIA FOR THE PSVITA with touch controls for makeing objects
Vita Current issue:
Upon updating my Vita to version 3.00. –
I received a group chat from a friend and I’m unable to delete it. Every-time I try to delete it say, “Could not delete” an the message returns as a “New message”.
2) Forcing us to format our system’s and memory cards just to change accounts. That crap needs to stop.Some of us have Foreign accounts we use to purchase overseas games; sense Sony American doesn’t deem the vita worthy enough to support with software we have to outsource. We need to be able to hold multiple accounts on the Vita like the PS3 and soon to be Ps4.
Note: Indie games are good, but that’s not what I want to see on the Vita or the PS4 and 100 indie games won’t make up for the lack of AA’s or AAA’s.

can anyone help the last couple of days im having trouble with my vita i sign to the psn i enter the store and its fine but when i try to use messages or see friends list or even playiing online my vita disconnects from psn every timeit only stays connected when i enter the store anybody having the same problem??
will we ever be able to download trophy pictures that were achieved on a different memory card ? i understand that they might take up space unnecessarily but i wood like to have the option as i have just gotten a 32 gig and most my games are missing the real trophy pictures. i am aware that i can see them on the PSN side but the option to download would be nice, thank you :)

Hey man I have serious problems cuz of this update …. my party, messeages, friends and online games aint working it always KICK me out of the server :(
I’m not sure if this is because of the new software but since I updated I’m always having problems with Playstation network…when I log in through settings/PSN it works ok but once Ilaunch some game(Motorstorm RC) it says I have to connect to PSN so I fill my email and password,it logs me in but then it says that there was a problem and logs me out…tried it multiple times and problem is still here. And everytime I play Jak and Daxter collection when I go to trophies/PSN to sync new trophy it says that I’m logged out of PSN and have to log in again…before update this problem never appeared.
I keep haveing the probem with the mesager i signs into PSN it load up then signs me out and then i vave to sign back in and keeps repeating.
The reason psn keeps kicking people out when you sign in is because Sony updated its Terms of Service and User Agreements, and you have to re-accept them. I found the easiest way to do this (on vita) is to pull up the PS Store and sign in, and then it should automatically bring you to the Terms and Agreements page. Hope this helps

as a result of the patch, i’m having issues with uploading my save using the in-game cross save feature for guacamelee as well as accessing the PSN store from in-game as well…
3.00 Update caused my Vita to Crash. Now it won’t update using any method. It went to 100% of download, and then froze. Thanks for frying my system guys. Love PlayStation & Vita, but this just sucks.
Will the Vita ever show up on a friend’s PS3 screen as being online when you are playing on a Vita signed into the PSN ?
