Black Friday Deals for PS3, PS Vita, and PS Plus

November has been a huge month for PlayStation, and there’s never been a better time to join PlayStation Nation. We’ve got some incredible Black Friday deals for PS3, PS Vita, PS Plus and more, to keep November going strong.

PS3

We’re putting two of the most popular PS3 titles of 2013 together to bring you the PS3 Black Friday Bundle for only $199 (MSRP). This bundle includes a 250GB PS3, Batman Arkham Origins, and The Last of Us — one of the highest-rated games of the year. That’s $165 worth of savings.

So Black Friday is the perfect time to pick up a PS3, and we’re continuing to bring you great content on the platform. Gran Turismo 6, the latest entry in one of the most popular franchises in PlayStation history, will launch exclusively on PS3 on December 6th. Not to mention blockbusters like Grand Theft Auto V, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, Battlefield 4…

Black Friday Deals

PS Vita

It’s also a great time to pick up a PS Vita, so you can play Tearaway — which launched today to stellar reviews — and recent hits like Killzone Mercenary, Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition, and Spelunky.

PS Vita is the ultimate companion device for PS4 through key features like Remote Play, letting gamers play most PS4 titles on their PS Vita via Wi-Fi on their home network, freeing up the television for other uses. Check out the various deals below:

PS Plus

There will also be a special Black Friday deal for PlayStation Plus at select retailers nationwide. Pick up 1 year of PS Plus for only $29.99* — that’s 40% off the regular price of $49.99. With PS Plus, you’ll get new games every month with Instant Game Collection. You’ll also get access to online multiplayer on the PS4 system. Best of all, one membership will cover you across your PS4, PS3, and PS Vita… for just $29.99* on Black Friday only.

*Limit 2 per person, per purchase. Offer valid 11/29/13 only, while supplies last.

  • we were bamboozled. they wont reply either

  • This sale is a joke. Sony should hire somebody at STEAM

  • Where are the black friday deals on the PSN? ??

  • I knew the list was going to consist of Last of Us and Bioshock infinite, how weak, you know there are more games in then just the newest boring bland AAA garbage right?

  • Why is War Thunder not out in the US today? Was supposed to be out Nov. 29th. =\

  • @385 Nope, no Canadian retailers are selling it at that price.
Some are price matching, but only with flyers AFAIK.

    Come on Sony, try harder.
You better bring it on boxing day, this is a generation switch on the way.

Don’t make us threaten to pick a Xbox One up.

  • Darn, I just bought Rayman Legends for $25 plus tax. Oh well, $10 difference, not the end of the world. Also ordered Jak and Daxter Vita and Killzone Mercenary for $15 and $20 respectively as well.

  • Thankfully my parents have a winter house down in Florida, so I was able to use their address for my purchase. Picked up 1 year of PS+, but tempted to go back and purchase another one (we’ll see).

Regardless, the fact that us Canadians have to expose a stupid loophole like that just so we can get in on the deals is ridiculous. I can’t see why Amazon.ca wouldn’t have the same deals, it’s not like there is any form of shipping involved, it’s a code they email you.

Just happy that I was able to get my code, but very annoyed at how Sony treats Canadian gamers.

I am a first time Playstation owner (just got a PS4 on Tuesday), so this is a terrible first impression that Sony is giving me as a gamer.

  • From this week sales i will buy Odin Sphere, no need to buy extra prepaid cards.

  • Chalk me up as one of the people who loaded up his wallet in anticipation of the $29.99 PSN subscription deal. In fact, the $29.99 link on http://us.playstation.com/psn/plus-latest/?ATTR=PSU-spotlight:ps-home still brings you to the $49.99 subscription on the PSN store. This is ridiculous and misleading.

There will be a Plus offer in Canada for Black Friday.

    Where ???

  • definitely Bioshock for me this time !! i ‘m so happy !! :D

  • I bought 1 year PS+2, should i another one? :D

  • If you put Delaware as your state on Amazon.com you won’t get charged tax.

  • Really lame of Sony to have a landing page set up, enticing everyone to believe they could fund up their wallets and take advantage of this online through Sony.

Deeply disappointed at being misled… this is the kind of crap Microsoft pulls.

  • Once you get to the PS Store, click on Games. Then Discounts. Then Flash Sale.

The first box takes you to the one everyone’s talking about. Lame. All of these prices were beaten badly at retail stores. But if digital is your thing, maybe it’s the best you can do.

    But what’s that next box?

    “FLASH WARNING!

    [giant]?[/giant]

    COMING 12.2.13”

Could be nothing. Then again, the date is this Monday. Cyber Monday.

Eh…who knows. Wake me up Monday and I’ll go have a look.

  • As a result of all of this, the way I spent my money funding my PSN wallet .. I am not of the mood to reward Sony with another year of plus sub sale.

Also all of the discounts for Black Friday you can do better at retail with a physical disk to trade later.

    Shame on ya Sony

  • Only one Vita game? That’s pretty disappointing

  • Got my Vita finally done last night shortly after Midnight at Gamestop with my 1yr subscription. Just wanna say thank you Sony for the great deals you had this year.

  • done!!! purchased my 2 year play station plus from Best Buy online!!! will get it till 12/17, but well… nobody is perfect… please SONY try to anticipate a high demand for coming offers.. and make this offers available also thru the PSN store, since some of your customer are not from the U.S… please take care of us, because we are choosing your brand against the competition.

i would have expected at least some discount thru the PSN network, all day long. but well.. take your notes.

  • Just read the latest official replies to this thread. No Plus deal on PSN but there is a list of retailers (on- and offline) in the reply to #25.

Glad I got my 2 cards at GameStop earlier today. :)

Looks like Canada got the shaft. :/

Anyway the PSN sale on Monday will count toward the “spend $60, get back $10” promotion. But keep in mind that one apparently doesn’t stack. It’s not “spend $120, get back $20.” Etc. And it ends Tuesday, 12/3.

  • I’m hoping that the abundance of errors when entering codes is the servers not working properly as I get an error on every platform and the website when I try entering my PS+ code from amazon.

  • It would be nice if we would have been informed that the redeem code feature has been turned off(according to kotaku), and to keep us up to date on when to expect it and our other services to come back. Otherwise what purpose does this blog hold other than to advertise the awesomeness that is Playstation?(not sarcasm)

  • Why are canadians getting shafted?

  • Getting the ERROR 80023017 after submitting my 1year plus extension. SERIOUSLY, I love SONY products but i think is pretty obvious that SCE is not capable of creating an online purchase experience that is frustration free. Now I can’t even get someone from customer service on the phone as the system just hangs-up before you get a human on the line. Please for the sake of your brand get people who know what they are doing to work on your online store and PSN.

PS. No one cares if you are overwhelm they just want a seamless experience which you’re failing to provide.

  • @The CraZyCloWn: You can get this deal off of amazon.com just change your City to Portland and the state to OR and put on 97225 as your zip code and it allows you to buy the codes. You can keep your street address and everything. That’s what I did anyways as this deal was too good to pass up. Still it’s annoying that us Canadians don’t get deals like this since we are starting to do black Friday sales as well.

  • @TheCraZyCloWn

Canadians are getting the shaft because the only way to get the $29.99 deal is through American retailers. Even the online options don’t allow for Canadian purchases, except through some workaround on Amazon that requires messing around and lying about the billing address.

  • Well guess that’s what ill do then

  • They should have a 5 year plan for much cheaper…maybe $124.99-149.99 That would be around half price or $100 bucks off. I’d be all over that if I didn’t buy 2 years worth. I’m good until March 2017.

  • I just have money in the psn wallet

  • I was really looking forward to Vita games on sale trough the PSN, at least old things like Jak and Daxter Collection, I even charged money to my SEN wallet just because of Black Friday, what a disapointment.

  • I’ll buy 2 years off Amazon screw it

  • I sure wish I could redeem this $50 PSN card instead of getting an error message…

  • @Splathew: they shut the redeeming voucher option off because too many people are redeeming codes so they gotta fix some issues (according to Kotaku). Mind you once they turn it back on the traffic will most likely be just as high. Just give it a few hours and you should be able to redeem your code.

  • Flow & Escape Plan still supposed to be available today on PS4?

  • Finally renewed my PS+ after letting in lapse in Jan after 2 years. Planned on playing LBP Karting all day – not “name that error message”. I hope Amazon does a lot better w/ my $5 video credit, I’m planning on wathcing Pcific Rim tomorrow w/ my sons.

stupid Sony, it always has to be something doesn’t it.

  • $2.74 off of getting Bioshock INfinite…that sucks. Also, I got Last of Us yesterday for $25 at Walmart, vs. $40 here…I would work on steeper price drops guys, to compete with retail. (I also took advantage of the Plus discount, only could get one year though.)

  • These deals are disappointing. Sony showed off images of select titles like “Last of Us” and “Saints Row 4” with “Up to 65% off” and only 1 game in the bunch that wasn’t even listed is at 65% off. What baffles me is how Amazon’s PSN digital store has some better discounts on these items than Sony does. Why?

  • I’m really disappointed.I thought we’ll get some really good deals, but it seems you can get better deals on amazon or bb.And still no God of War 3?Really,Sony?

  • I purchased another year of plus so now I am good for a total of 3 years. I want to know if the ps+ bug has been resolved. Link to the bug I am referring to is below. Good Job all the way sony. :)

  • Rayman Legends = mine. And at that price, and with the missing content finally patched in, that’s a steal!

    Thanks guys! =D

Would the rest of you guys like a tissue? I can buy more with the money I just saved on Rayman.

  • So I just got my PS+ year and go to redeem it on my PS4 and it wont work. Every time I enter the code it just makes me exit the PS store. Any help?

  • Seems Microsoft having issues too.

Just tried to get onto my Outlook (hotmail) account.

    Receiving:

Sorry, there seems to be a problem with Outlook right now

If you continue to have this problem, please report it to Microsoft.

  • nativray:

They shut down some features and are investigating.

It was posted on a couple of sites already.

You`re not the only one having issues.

  • Seems some people are having trouble accessing the PlayStation Network right now, being either unable to sign in or finding their ability to stay connected being “disrupted”. So Sony is trying to lighten the network’s load.P

The company has disabled the “redeem voucher” function on the PSN while they “investigate further”. Given the timing of the network troubles and the first thing Sony disabled, it doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to deduct the problem might just be that a ton of new games, codes and consoles got sold on Black Friday, and a lot of Americans have the day off (though reports of spotty service are worldwide, so the new PS4 consoles sold in Europe probably aren’t helping).

Uh I went o Bestbuy today and they said they knew about the promotion but Sony never called them so they cant offer it.

Last night they said they cant do the deal till Friday, its friday, what is the problem?

Crystal, where is this PS Plus offer in Canada you speak of? Not at Bestbuy thats for sure.

    Reply today!!!!

  • Those wondering about Black Friday deals, guys there is a thing called Cyber Monday for digital things. I am sure they are gonna have something better next week during the update. I do appreciate the deals they have atm. Persona 4 is one of the best JRPGs all time is a must buy for Vita owners and it is only $20.

  • PS those game deal are horrible.

I am actually kinda glad I didnt get PS Plus, Its a waste of money by giving me “Free” copies of games I own, and then a bunch of crap I would never buy to load up on, takes too much time each tuesday in PS Store, and I think this was fate stepping in and saying “Hey man, its not worth it at $50, why did you think it was worth it at $30?”

I am just mad this crystal chick lied to us.

Who is she, and why doesnt sony watch to make sure people dont say stupid **** on their blog?

“Canada will have deals too” Then she doesnt say where or even reply to anyones questions on the matter.

LOL You people said the same thing with the PS3……. and guess what? Out of ~65 games, the ONLY GAME I CAN REMOTE PLAY IS FREAKING GOD OF WAR 1 & 2!!!!!!!!!!!!
