One of the most critically acclaimed PS Vita titles, Soul Sacrifice, is now available in the Instant Game Collection. Created by Keiji Inafune, best known for his work on the Mega Man franchise, this action RPG pits you against an evil sorcerer. The question is, how are you going to defeat him when you’re locked up in a fleshy cage? A talking book named Librom (it reminds me of the spell book in Hocus Pocus) is the answer. Librom will transport you back to past events, also known as Phantom Quests, so you can train and develop your power. The game really shines with its “save or sacrifice” combat mechanics, where you’ll need to make key decisions about what you need most (i.e. more health or more magic), or choose to unleash a devastating black rite spell by destroying part of your body. The best way to grasp the game is to try it out, so get to downloading when this becomes free for PS Plus members tomorrow!

Don’t give a doodle about this week’s update since I don’t have a Vita and don’t care about DW. Happy for those getting Soul Sacrifice, though. Seems like most folks with Vitas are pleased about it.
Also, none of this content will be available as advertised until the PS Store Update on TUESDAY. Some of you are new, so it’s understandable you wouldn’t know that. But the rest of you should really know better.

I could care less about VITA or PS4 games,,, I signed up for PS3 PLUS, you need to seperate these services SONY,,,because i guarantee all the PS4 owners are gonna start whining also when after a couple months they start feeling left out,,,,Each PLUS service should be a charge of $50 dollars,,Using your logic,as an example if i have a car, a boat and an airplane . i only need to buy one insurance policy that covers all three units or only have one licence to use all three…That would work util i wreck the million dollar plane witn only a compact car insurance policy,,,somebody would be left hangin and right now its the PLUS subscriber,,

Let me start by saying that I love PS+ and can’t wait to utilize it to its fullest when I can afford a PS4. However as someone who only has a PS Vita and buys quite a few games… I get sad everytime a game I already own shows up…. really makes me reconsider buying new games as all… Stuff I bought at full price…. Gravity Rush, Soul Sacrifice, Wipeout 2048, Zero Escape…. I am sure there is more but I am getting worked up recalling all the dang games that I bought and could have gotten for free only a very short time after I purchased them….

I got hit by the password incorrect when trying to login on PSN last night too. Been a PSN member since back when the PS3 launched. Waited for a while to see if it was (another) PSN hiccup, then reset my password (by clicking “forgot password” which I obviously didn’t.
Googling the issue has PAGES and PAGES of people wondering WTF has happened.
SONY – if you want to do a DOB check or whatever triggered this, that’s fine and acceptable. But YOU NEED TO TELL THE CONSUMER WTF IS GOING ON! Like I said, originally I thought it was PSN hiccup, then wondering if I’d been hacked. Since I *knew* I hadn’t forgotten my password I would’ve never clicked that if I hadn’t googled.
I was waiting to buy a PS4 in December, but if, on a “recent-gen” Vita, this is the kind of UX you’re providing, I shudder to think what’s on the PS4… This “password incorrect issue” has got to be of of the TOP 5 WORST UX I’ve ever encountered.

I suspect, but have no proof, but I believe that they got attacked again. There is no other reason for a massive password reset.
They posted a blog article on EU about a password reset do to “weird events”.
How long until Shadow Hearts and Shadow Hearts 2 are announced to be released as PS2 Classics? Even better as an HD collection?

Awesome! Been wanting to play this game. Also, i’ll ask this here because I really can’t decide at the moment where else is better to put the question forth—-Are we ever going to see video apps on the Playstation Vita for Hulu Plus, Vudu, & Amazon Instant Video? in my opinion, it’s all that’s lacking on the Vita that keeps it from being THE PERFECT mobile gaming & entertainment system.
@carlpain: What I believe Vince47 was trying to say is that he doesn’t want to pay more for the same service. He would be willing to pay a separate fee for separate services provided that each one was better than before. He’s imagining that a pool of all the Vita Plus members would get better Vita games than they do now. All the PS3 members (some of whom would overlap with Vita members) would get better games, and so on. More money coming into the system (but tied to the individual platform) would mean more resources and potentially better games. I have no idea if it would work, but it’s a novel idea.
However, I do know one thing for certain: Complaining on this blog wouldn’t decrease in the slightest, and would probably get a lot worse.

Assasin’s Creed 3, FarCry 3, Need For Speed: Most Wanted, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance to name a few, plus Grid2 and Guacamelee already announce for Europe on november.

When are they going to release the Aveline Figurehead DLC here in North America? European members of Playstation Plus got it for free during the last week of October and the first of November. I’ve been waiting for it to be released here. It wouldn’t be fair to the rest of us if they only released it in Europe.

I’m glad to see a good game like Soul Sacrafice this month. I see Paul mentioned about remote play. I think the only thing that worries me is when the Gaikai stuff comes. My internet connection isn’t the best but hopefully i’ll be able to use it.

After playing through the Soul Sacrifice demo when it first came out, I didn’t like it enough to pay full price for it but I certainly liked enough to play for free, so thanks Sony.

what if playstation gave us a the option for everyone to pick a game and then everyone vote on the one they want… and what ever the games are … we get that would be better then hoping for a game that we most likely wont get

@35: If they fix that, I'll be surprised. It's really quite annoying. You'd think they would WANT us to buy games… but nope.
@CYANvRANGER: It’s been looked into. As Plus members, we get a selection of 3 free PS3 games for an entire year IN ADDITION TO all the other stuff we get every month. IIRC XCOM, LittleBigPlanet Karting, and Uncharted 3 are those 3 games. They became available to us in June, marking a year since the last time they were switched out. So it’s a safe bet they won’t be changed again until June of 2014.
The December games will likely be announced later today since they hinted over the weekend that the announcement would be made before the holidays.
Dunno why, I just thought Soul Sacrifice was kind of boring and sold it. I may come back to it now, though.
