Update: Digital voucher code redemption in PlayStation Store is returning to normal, thanks for your patience.

Update: We are continually increasing the availability of voucher code redemption functionality. We appreciate your patience and apologize for this inconvenience.

We are aware that users are experiencing some disruption to the PSN service. To minimize the inconvenience we have suspended the “redeem voucher” functionality while we investigate further. Unfortunately this means that money cards, product vouchers, PlayStation Plus vouchers, PS3-PS4 upgrade vouchers and any other vouchers for digital content are not redeemable at this time. Other PSN features such as log in, online multiplayer gaming, PlayStation Plus trials, PlayStation Store (excluding voucher redemption), Trophies, messages, friends, etc are all available.

We apologize for the inconvenience and will provide an update soon.

It seems you can redeem the Plus Code by redeeming it in your account management in your XMB on your ps3.

I went onto my PS3, went to account management and redeemed my code there. It works there, but it didn’t work when I go onto the store to redeem it.

Sign in and mouse over your username at the top of the screen. Click on Redeem Codes.


(Made a similar post 8 hours ago, but it’s still awaiting moderation. Posting links [even to known Sony websites] on here will require mod approval before the post shows up. So I’m posting it like this to help you guys right away instead of whenever they approve it.)

@Commanding Tiger: The workaround for that issue is to add a couple of items to your cart before adding Contrast/Resogun. Then go to checkout and remove the unwanted items. Contrast/Resogun should show as free to Plus. :)

I would like to know if there is any news on the redeem option yet. because i just bought my 50 euro psn card to buy the Christmas sales promo games and i cant redeem my prepaidcard. its even saying that the card is invalid or has been expired. I just want to know if the sales will be extended and if the vouchers code will still be able to be redeemed after the store has been fixed?

Here it is Cyber Monday and Sony is still screwed up. There hasn’t been any new blogs. Where’s “The Drop” from yesterday? Where’s the latest “Blogcast”, or the sales for Cyber Monday? Will the Playstation Plus blog make it out today? I’m seriously doubting it. Still no answers as to what’s going on either.

I’d like access to my avatars that I just purchased from the PS3 store. I don’t see them on my PS4 at all. This’s a issue for me since I sold my PS3 2 weeks ago. I’d hate to have to call my buddy just to change avatars lol. Good job with the PS4, PLEASE bring back a better Eyecreate for the PS4.

I’m sorry but it’s really poor of such a big company not to be prepared for this type of scenario surely someone upstairs in the company must of thought there’s a big possibility of the servers being overloaded with the release of a new console? I’m now stuck waiting to download call of duty ghosts for the discount price. So now I will lose days or maybe weeks who knows (because Sony are so slow with keeping their customers updated) off my yearly subscription that I have paid for and cant use. To me it just seems pretty unfair.

As you may be able to tell I’m a pretty unhappy but loyal customer, so I will respect the rule of this blog and refrain from being rude and speaking out of turn on how angry I really feel.

Please Sony be more thorough with keeping your customers informed and maybe think about a good will gesture to all the loyal but unhappy customers you must have at the moment (I’m sure there’s a lot)

Seems like all websites experience problems from time to time, I’m sure a lot of you have had times when you were trying to do your online banking or credit card updating, balance and so on. Yeah this kinda blows. I bought a year of PSN plus and can’t redeem the card. I can see it now. It will charge my credit card for another year, THEN they’ll fix the redeem function.

PSN -> Account Management -> Transaction Management -> Services List -> PlayStation Plus.

First item lets you toggle automatic renewal on/off. This is also where you can go to find out when your sub expires. Just keep in mind that every time you re-sub (by Plus card, etc.) it resets to automatic renewal. So make it a habit to come here and turn that off every time.

Sony doesn’t even have my credit card info. Never entered it, always used prepaid cards. Not sure how but it is possible to get the info removed entirely. Maybe contact support.

I was wondering why does the Vita download so slow? It took me over 5+ hours just to download straight to my Vita Final fantasy 9. I don’t have the best Internet in the world but I know it doesn’t take me 5 hours to download a little over a gig of data for a PS1 title. Again just curious :) thanks for keeping up the Great Sony Ecosystem!

PSN/SEN don’t work. Also, the PS Blog is SO BUGGY I’m hardly able to post a comment here. Add to that the fact that Don Mesa nor Sid Shuman will do their job and address our concerns or hassles here. Good old “Customer No Service” that is typical with us consumers and their developers. LOL THIS SUCKS,SONY!!!!!!!!
