With over 300 pages of script, MyCAREER on PS4 takes you on an emotional journey like you’ve never experienced before. Our goal was to place you IN the game. From competing on the court, to decisions you make off the court, the experience has been expanded in an immersive journey through next gen technology.
For example, early on you may not get the minutes you want as a rookie. As your team calls a timeout, you have a decision to make – remain sitting or get up and celebrate with your teammates. Each decision affects the way you are viewed both from your team’s viewpoint and the way fans look at you. This is just one of many deep decisions you make, with your actions opening up hours and hours of completely new content both on and off the court.
Things like personality, choosing to answer in polite ways or with arrogance, fans liking you, endorsements and personality badges all factor into your decisions. Even choosing which endorsements to sign with (ala adidas, Nike or Jordan brand, for example) have an effect on your career. Your decisions even affect things like potential trades, social media feeds and endorsements and MyCAREER relationships (team chemistry, GM relationships, loyalty with local and national fans etc). Things like rhythm and team chemistry can impact the way your team plays. The first year experience will take you through all 82 games, and you can chose to play Key Games in the second season onward.

Yo brotha! Mycareer is still crashing on me and leaving me with some error messages. Look man, im really a 2k fan. But im really disappointed at this new patch. Am i suppose to start a new career with the new update? What am i doing wrong?

Hello so I got traded and my number changed in MyPlayer how do I edit my number I tried to find out how to do it for like 15 minutes but I could not see where I could change my players number or edit it. I even backed out and went to the main menu to check. Can we not edit our players Jersey Number?
How come I am a rated 95 SG on the Orlando Magic and they got me as a Sixth man behind Arron Affalo who is only like a 76? I just got traded to them 2 games ago? I got two games of B+ Rating and completed all my dynamic goals in the two games. I even hit a game tying shot at the buzzer. Orlando should be treating me like the next Tracy McGrady. No wonder D-12 left them LOL. I mean I wouldn’t have any one rated a 80 or higher coming off the bench unless they were behind Lebron, Melo, Kobe, Rose, Paul, or Durant. Clearly Afflalo is not anywhere close to them. He is not even a Stephen Curry or Blake Griffin. LOL where is the logic.
You know what is frustrating sometimes. I have a 90 rating for 3-Pointers plus the Dead Eye Perk on. I constantly get A- or B+ ratings on my shots but yet I may only go 2-8 for these shots when with the rating the perk and Excellent Shot releases and Shot Ratings I should at worse be going 5-8. I can see if timing was off or poor rating but I was getting so frustrated to catch shoot have an A- only to shoot a brick. I’m like these shots should be drained but if the computer gets the ball and shoots a 3 with a hand in there face they swish it everytime.
I will say I do like how the AI seems to adjust on Defense. It seems like when they know I am struggling from 3 they switch to like a box zone and negate my Lebroning to the hoop. Or vice versa when I am draining the 3s and on fire they want me to drive only to get Sprite Posterized LOL.

I will say Mr Ronnie Singh the MyPlayer mode as far as depth and drama is the best. I feel a part of the game and NBA and not just a random guy out there. I feel like I am in the NBA myself and that I am in control of my life not just playing a bunch of games to be the “greatest ever” With the different cutscenes and interactions and the fact I just lost mad money on a bum movie proposal I accepted. It makes you want to not only play with one player but go back and play as another player and try different interactions which increase replayability. I think yourself and your team did a good job of breathing life into the MyPlayer or Player sims modes and have set a new standard of how a career path in sports games should be. Madden, Road to the Show and all other sporting games need to take notes. All other games I played as far as sports I just played the game as a person I called me and just racked up stats and eventually became the greatest but I didn’t feel like rewarded or a part of the game more like I was trying to fit in it. Great Job.
i Have one question WTF is all the MY Players sound the same thats whack as hell yall need to fix the whole char. creation process add sliders so we can change faces and stuff like that none of those faces look close you cant change anything please tell me you have at 2k have a update coming out soon so i can remake (MY) Player -_-

Why does it allow you to buy VC in MYCAREER but you can’t use them for your player?
I am buying NBA 2K14 next gen today. Should i stay away from the patch or download it. I see that so many people are claiming that the patch messed there game up. While others have issues from teh start with Mycareer. Does it have to do with people starting their mycareers before they download the patch?

I was having a blast with mycareer, until about my 50th game. It froze after I got player of the game and it keeps on freezing. wether im online or offline it happens. Ive tried contacting 2k support 1,000 times and still no response, both on social media and their website!
I was having fun but now my mycareer is glitched and I cant even move past this game!

Was curious as to if they were working on fixing being able to invite or join up with friends in The Park. Every time my friend and myself try to it doesn’t work. I click play with friends and his name doesn’t pop up when he’s in a park. This is frustrating because I don’t want to play with randoms who ball hog and lose us the game.
Even after the patch Mycareer crashes with the same error code. What is sony and 2k doing to fix this or reimburse use for the money we put into our my players? Nothing. The fact is they making money and they want us to put more money into it. Evil. I’m selling my ps4 moving back to xbox and never playing nba 2k again

i contacted 2ksupport on twitter 2 days and they said to make a support which i then did. still no reply. are they just really busy or should i contact them again?
Please give us the ability to SAVE to the HDD again (rosters). The day one patch took this away. Cloud roster are just horrible.
in my Career, All-Star/Sim/11 min per qtr, i observed these:
1. Whenever you enter in some qtrs, the time out is almost out – ex. im coming in for 2nd qtr, the timeout is at times 3 remaining. Or even in 3rd, there’s only 2 TO left.
2. Some of star players (like A. David of NO) committed his 6th foul in mid 3rd!
HOPEFULLY THIS WILL BE ADDRESSES in the next patch.
The MyCareer mode took huge steps forward. Only question i have is, “Why can’t we have an option to sim games”. I do not want to play 82 games.
From what I have heard people you can sim games to key games after your rookie year or sophmore year… the first two years you have to play the full season unless injuried….
hey i was wondering if the my career mode will allow us to skip games. We have to play every single game right now in a 82 season. Its taking to long for me to get to the playoffs in my rookie year.
How do you get your team chemistry up? I say pretty good responses in my interview and since I got traded I never get asked to watch tape or anything. I average 6 assist but thats easily gonna go up quick, I feed my center and the shooting guards what else can I do ?

The game on the next-gen is fantastic just like the previous years, except that there seems to be certain features missing from this years game, or maybe just on the next-gen. The one I can think of off the top of my head would be the award races screen (including history of, weekly, monthly awards screen like in the previous years.) On the NBA home screen it tells you a headline of who won, but you cannot go to this screen as it is advertised on the menu screens (which are unfortunately a pain to navigate through themselves as it is.) You also cannot see “team records, team history” and other basic “stat” menu’s like the in the previous years. Graphics and the story-line in my career are a refreshing upgrade but I thought the game would build up on the detailed (outside of the gameplay itself) nature it had instead of exclude some of it’s basic features and screens in my-career mode. Can you please comment on whether you guys will be including those screens/options (or if not, remove them from the menus screen since we can’t get to them anyway) in the near future or at least in next years game?
I also forgot to mention, one MAJOR thing that is maybe specifically bugging me is that, I got my player traded to another team and his number changed, so I figured I’d be able to change it back….but of course, after trying to navigate through the puzzle of menu screens, I cannot find this option……and I feel like that is a basic feature in a sports game at this stage, you know, to be able to change your jersey number?
Ronnie in post 38 you said if you mange it well you can wind up on your favorite team. My player was pursued by a two teams with a higher draft picks than the Sixers. I fell to the Sixers and the chose Michael Carter-Williams even though I had a better showcase then him. This happened three separate times by the way. When my 6’7′ PG got up to a 90 overall rating Philly was dead last in regards to interest in trading for “me”? So I can’t play for my beloved Sixers in real life and I can’t play for them in the virtual world either? I paid $60 bones for this game this hurts me very deeply 2K.
ok im having a problem with myGM crashing constantly with the error being the “application crashed” and besides that i had a player get injured during the playoffs and he went through the next season with the same injury!!! it was a broken wrist but its been stuck at 2-4 weeks this whole season and im frustrated because it was my best player.
anybody else get screwed out of money by purchasing the in game option to buy career points? i purchased points and was charged by psn and after the transaction went through i recieved a notice that it is not available at this time

there is a glitch in my career if you get traded before all star break that if your voted on in 1 conference and get traded to the other your myplayer is on both rosters

Really enjoyed playing nba 2k14 when it works.., I love the MyCareer but I constantly keep getting the CE-34878-0 error. I have spent close to $40 on vc for my player and find it very annoying that I can’t play. I have seen you ask people to go to twitter but I do not have an account. What can I do to either get this fixed or recoup the money I have spent on VC.
Something for your team to look at for next year that would be cool would for MyCareer would be shoot arounds before games and the chance to practice. Something similar to mlb the show.

You need to patch in the association!!! 400 plus dollars plus the cost of the game and I can no longer build a team and play with the person sitting next to me. Online gaming is cool but sometime I’d rather just playing at home with friends. This game has a lot of new great features, but removing the association is the biggest issue. In my opinion, the ps4 version should have the exact features as the ps3 version…WHY CHANGE IT?!?!

for my career i don’t have the my player store or closet so I’m unable to wear my signature shoe or even use my vc that was bought on my player is there anything to fix this and after that patch that was released on Tuesday i now have the error code CE-34878-0 please put out another patch to get ride of this i spent to much money not to be able to play my own game

I have noticed that sometimes on the PS4 the screen blanks out after the initial splash screen, but before the intro video. On some occasions it is barely noticeable, but on other occasions, such as this morning, it sat there for approximately 2 minutes (long enough for the disk drive to stop spinning). What is going on during that time to cause such as variance in load times? My other PS4 games do not do this.
Hey there, with my ps4 I have been enjoying 2k14 now my career expire nice so much and so I decided to put money in to make my player better, thing is when I try to play my career there is some error code thing wrong now and now I can’t play and my money’s gone to waste. I hope someone can fix this
when i start a game on NBA2k14 about 2 mins after, the audio starts stuttering (every time!).. has happened with BF4 before but not as persistent as in NBA2k14. will there be a patch for this? or is it my console?

I am loving 2k on next gen, and this is my first time playing my career. One problem I am having is I finally got a shoe deal and a chance to create my own shoe but I can’t wear the shoe during a my career game. I went into the features section and changed the shoe but I still end up wearing the lame 2k generics. What’s Up?????
Just got 2k14 on PS4 played a few games on MyPlayer got my overall to about 67 starting for an injured player come back to play my overall is 25 I played maybe 3 minutes had no stamina or any attributes to compete should I just delete or restart because this would be my 3rd attempt last time I played four games and come back and it was all gone…what is going on?
