For example, early on you may not get the minutes you want as a rookie. As your team calls a timeout, you have a decision to make – remain sitting or get up and celebrate with your teammates. Each decision affects the way you are viewed both from your team’s viewpoint and the way fans look at you. This is just one of many deep decisions you make, with your actions opening up hours and hours of completely new content both on and off the court.
Things like personality, choosing to answer in polite ways or with arrogance, fans liking you, endorsements and personality badges all factor into your decisions. Even choosing which endorsements to sign with (ala adidas, Nike or Jordan brand, for example) have an effect on your career. Your decisions even affect things like potential trades, social media feeds and endorsements and MyCAREER relationships (team chemistry, GM relationships, loyalty with local and national fans etc). Things like rhythm and team chemistry can impact the way your team plays. The first year experience will take you through all 82 games, and you can chose to play Key Games in the second season onward.

How do i change the length of the quarters in my career and all of the gear i put on my player won’t stay
im loving the game but its no way to like get drafted 1st pick and your rival pretty much succeeds over u which isnt bad but my issue is the tribal tattoos, can we get like another pack for that to make the tattoos cover the whole area and be able to have chest, back, and hand tattoos too? or a pack to get tattoos similar to our fav nba stars? that would be wonderful!
is it a glitch when u put your accessories on your myplayer for the park mode and it doesnt stay on it; like it will act like its loading onto it then stays the same and can we have a few more designs for the hair too? hope im not asking too much 2k CEOs and staff *jordan shrugs*
Ronnie please reply. Normally not one to complain, and go as far as to reach out about something like this. But let me start by saying NBA 2k14 for the next gen is a FAIL. I personally love the game, but the MYCAREER experience was completely ruined with this ce-34878-0 glitch/corruption. I have made 3 characters and have purchased the 35k VC each time, and i have been refunded 3 times now! by sony. This is getting old. BY THE WAY the latest patch does not fix this error at all! My character got corrupted yesterday. You guys at 2K need to get this **** straight, and patch this mass error once and for all. Because of this issue this game is honestly ruined for me
Also as a side comment, i would like to let you know the tattoos kind of suck. Some are just very bold prints and others are faded. The tattoos lack detail for a “NEXT GEN” game. I expected to see detailed tattoos maybe even sleeves of some sort. Also whats with the off court clothes you can wear in cut scenes and the park, why do they not show up on blacktop? doesnt really make sense… JUST FIX THE MYCAREER GLITCH, STOP MAKING US SUFFER !
Hey Ronnie Singh, how do we get compensated for Lost Purchased VC due to File Corruption that occurred after Downloading Patch #2? I’ve called 2K Support and sent them my PSNid: wlh1361_ my 2K email_along with screenshots of the actual corrupted files and still nobody has reimbursed me yet. I understand losing the VC earned via gameplay, but losing $50 of real money spent on VC has to be compensated for (feel me). I was telling them the easy way to settle this is to just give me a Locker Code Worth the 205,000 VC that I purchased and lost. Seeing that they couldn’t help me, I’m hoping YOU being “Sr. Manager” of 2K could bring me some justice. I have all of my files and evidence if you need to see them for proof of file corruption.

i played my career and bought the 80,000 vc points twice as well as the 35,000 vc points i finish a game save it go play at my brothers house come back to play a my career game and my player is overall 25 but my signature dunks, and skills are still there iam even facing the same opponet and my record is still the same ive already talked to 2k support i havent heard back from them since last friday ive talked to playstattion as well has the happened to anybody else?
How come I don’t see “GAMEDAY GEAR STORE” in MyPlayer Store?
Hey, for some reason, when I try to load the Store I can’t see any of the in game accessories (gameday, ie. Headbands, shooting sleeves). Any reason for this?
The Game Day Gear section of the Champs shop seems to have disappeared. There is no way to purchase accessories for my mycareer player both in the mycareer menus and outside in the main menu as well.
Mycareer is crashing after 6 games nd the myplayer store is missing the game day accessories. Any timetable on when it will be fixed?? I’m irritated about 2k14 now.
Any way to change socks it was in past 2k games but now it’s completely gone in 2k14 I believe it stopped after 2k11 or 12.

i give u props for answering multiple questions however, i noticed u’ve mentioned quite alot about reaching out to @2ksupport on twitter or via email. I’m assuming that u’ve never done it urself. THEY NEVER GET BACK TO U! let me repeat, THEY NEVER (let me add EVER) get back to u. so why brush people off who need resolution to the game they love playing. patch maybe great but still lots of issues and that nba2k14 fans will be left in the dark.
I’ve played nba2k over 6 yrs now and not once 2k support gotten back to me. i usually get my answers through forums or via internet. i can tell u this much. this will be my last NBA2k game for me. I’ve had it with early release where u wait in line and pick up a game and the game has too many issues. u shouldnt release something that is not perfect. ps4 version graphic is great but lets be real and admit that ya’ll rushed it with 80% product that still needs work while gamers suffer. seriously, talk to ur people in upper chain. SUPPORT is completely useless.
Also cant access game day accessories for my player / career. If we can get a confirmed answer as to if this is a glitch a few of us are going through or has it been removed for some reason?Would very much appreciate an answer soon.

I ve problems with mycareer mode first impossible to have any accesories because the mode crashes if I put them on… And second since 5 games the coach doesn t make any substitution…. All players are exhauted my player too and it s become impossible to win… I m an european player… Sorry for my poor english hope you ll understand… By the way impossible to see road to trophy ( mvp etc… ) thanks for your answer
I have nba2k14 lebron jame edition, and im getting a ps4 and my first game will be offcourse NBA 2k14. I want to know if my VC will be transfer from the ps3 version to the ps4 or i will lose everything. Also i want to know if i will have the lebron signature skills in my ps4 version. Thanks
Hey I finally earned the vc to buy some shoes and I bought some adidas shoes and equipped them in the myplayer closet but when I go to mycareer my player still has those generic shoes on. What can I do to fix this or will there be a fix for this?
Ok, after about a month, and playing this about 4 times a week, here is what I think. First off, no practice ground in my career?????? are you kidding me right now? so you can’t test your shots releases? your new dunks? your crossovers? Ok, whatever I can live with that, what’s next, oh sitting on the bench with the Utah Jazz in my Carer mode, avg 30 pts per game and 6 assists, and A every game….88 RATING!!
But most importantly and why I stopped playing is, WHERE the hell is the game day gear tab??? I can’t find it, it disappeared!!!
I was jus wondering why there are two different vc stacks.. When I go on my career I have a stack of vc then when I go home screen it’s a different set. Is it supposed to be like that or is it glitched?

Ok…I’ve tried contacting @2ksupport and have not had any reply. I purchased VC in mycareer…and it added to the main menu, but not to mycareer. Whats the point of buying it if I cant upgrade my player’s attributes?

I finally got offered a shoe endorsement with Nike and Jordan and I chose Jordan, but when I go into My Player Dressing Room, I can’t put on any of the Jordans I bought. It keeps making me wear the ugly ass 2K brand shoe. WTF CAN I DO TO BE ABLE TO WEAR MY JORDAN BRAND SHOES???

Hello Ronnie. I’ve had NBA 2k14 since day 1 and I’ve been trying to build myplayer up for park. He’s an 86 overall, but when I go into Park mode, he’s only a 25. I’ve already invested a lot of time into this player and I’ve spent $10 at the playstation store for VC, so I’m really hoping I don’t have to delete the myplayer that I’ve been working on.
I read your response to a previous post that it was just a visual error and that everyone’s myplayer is in reality has the ability levels that the should. I can tell you with 100 percent certainty that this is not the case. Myplayer is slow, tires quickly, responses poorly, and has no shooting range when in single player he’s a very quick, has a high speed rating, is a great shooter from medium and 3 point range, and has solid stamina.
Is this issue going to be addressed, or am I going to be forced to delete the character and effectively flush $10 down the toilet?
This game is off the hook, I’m stuck in my career, but have a few questions…..First I’m having major trouble trying to steal the ball without getting fouled, how do u steal? And second, i had lebron james bonus pack on ps3, but im using same psn account, so can i transfer all my dlc somehow??Thank You

For the people having problems with seperate vc from menu and career its because 2k messed up by letting us play while the game is installing (next gen consoles) i had this problem only fix is to delete your my career and start new one
so I just spent $80 on the vc points for my career..how come I only have 1100 balance on my “my career” and all the vc points that I bought it only shows in the features? is there a possible way I can transfer those vc points in “my career” or atleast get a refund -.-

I spent $20 on VC, and I spent a good portion of that VC on dunks. My guy is a 3 pt specialist so he only goes for layups even though my ratings in dunk and vert are maxed out. Where can I go change his tendencies like you could do in previous 2k games?
Myplayer’s weight from 145 to 300 pounds have NO DIFFERENCE. In currrent gen when first creating a player you could see the weight being put on/taken off when adjusting the weight. I just want myplayer to match the size of the other point guards in the league. Can you guys PLEASE PLEASE address THIS Ronnie?? <———-
Hey what’s up , so far I love this game and I think you guys did a great job with it , love the direction….but I do think it’s dumb that you can’t edit your players face in mycareer and also you can’t even buy in game gear, you guys should fix those things …It would make the game a lot better

So, I purchased $20.00 of VC and the transaction went through according to the PSN. However, when I took myself back to the application it [NBA2k14 game] said, “The Transaction Failed: this content is not downloadable at this time”. Yet, I can see in my transactions that I was charged for the coins. Is there any chance I can get those coins or a refund please?

I changed my MyCareer difficulty to All-Star from Pro nut now it wont let me change it back down, it only lets me choose from All-Star, Superstar, and Hall of Fame.

Let me start out by saying the game is amazing. Graphics, gameplay, and the realization of the players is great, but it’s missing one thing. Why can’t we fully customize our myplayer. This was the best part of the previous versions. I want a player that looks exactly like me out there dunking the ball from the free throw line.
I’m sure many other fans want this as well. Please push for this in the next patch release.
