  • nothing for PS4 again. another slow week.

  • You know guys, I just want to express my frustration (not that you will read this… It is going to be on page four by now) with the lack of Borderlands 2 DLC discounts once again. To further the frustration, I also just read that Xbox Live is, once again, going to have the DLC on sale along with the season pass (thank IGN for that bad taste in my mouth). You seem to have missed a huge opportunity for some sales with adding B2 to the IGC. Seriously. Lots of $ just gone because someone doesn’t have any foresight for sales. You guys should be kicking your own shins (please post on YouTube for hilarity… Maybe Tosh.O will mock you).
Keep up the otherwise great work and Happy Holidays!

    • we always read all the comments; thanks for the feedback! We’ve certainly had the DLC on sale before, but your point stands, thanks!

  • I approve of this months deals.

  • Dyad is a great game for people who don’t have it. I managed to pick it up when it first came out on sale and it was a great game. everyone should try the demo if your skeptical. Its really fun and I love all those colorssss.

  • GOW for 10 dollars?! Thats a buy for me. Think its toooo soon for a RaC ITN deal??? Purdy pweessee??

  • It’s a shame Vita owners don’t get as many good discounts and how they haven’t given us a “proper” AAA title on PS+ in a while.

I’d love to see Walking Dead in the discount list, specially considering the studio is releasing new stuff and it’s quite an old game now… Not all of us managed to get the bundle. :\

  • Being a PS plus member was the best decision in my life so far. BEYOND!!!

  • Dyad hurts my eyes. I don’t know if I can handle it.

  • Will there be one more week of holiday deals after this one?

  • Never played any God of War Games…is God of War Ascension worth the plunge?
Only Guacameelee looks worth it so far…

  • @rabidninjamonky Nah, he’s cool. He’s not bothersome so I don’t think so either. Anyone who hasn’t bought God of War: Ascension should not pass up on that price. The only letdown that would prevent people to buy it is not because of the online pass, but how big the game is on your hard drive. It’s 34 GB! That would take a day or even longer if you have slow internet. To me, the story felt weak and the combat doesn’t feel as polished than the previous titles (Can’t do the same button combo like in every single GoW game for some reason). But that’s my opinion, don’t take my word for it. Agreed, if anyone hasn’t bought Guacamelee yet, I suggest they buy it. Was well worth the $7.49 I paid months ago.

  • @mahirghari I can’t really say that Ascension isn’t worth the plunge, but I would play a different GOW game first. GOW is all about Kratos and he was at his best in GOW 2, 3 and Ghost of Sparta. He really is an awesome character and I loved the series until Ascension. I’m sure it’s a good game, but for some reason I was bored playing it. I didn’t even finish it.

  • @ Gamerzlimited Yeah I agree with you. I rented GOW Ascension from Gamefly and was so disappointed, I sent it back the next day. The price is great though. I would try it again for $10, but like you said, 34 gigs is way too big for me too.

  • @rabidninjamonky I beat the game in 2 days when I rented it using Redbox. The story isn’t that impressing to me. It’s not worth the time and space to download and replay it again. I don’t know why God of War: Ascension has to be that big for such a short game. I would rather have Ni No Kuni or Grand Theft Auto V take the space on my PS3 than that God of War title.

Oh, and while I was on Amazon, I would like to let people know you can get the PS3 and Vita versions of Angry Birds Star Wars for $19.99. But then again, that price is still high. So who cares? lol

  • is there any plans to have a sale on ps4 games after Christmas

  • Guacamelee! and probably Dyad for me this week. Already have Limbo, but that’s a steal. EVERYONE should get it this week for PS3/Vita/both if they don’t already own it.

As always, I’m happy to see any game arrive in the IGC. And if I decide I don’t want it…I can simply choose not to download it. Problem solved. With bigger games like GoW (IGC or bought), you can always start the download and cancel it right away to save hard drive space. It will appear in your download list and you can DL it when you’re ready/have the space. (I’m sure the people talking about GoW in this thread already know that. Just for anyone who doesn’t.)

SMH at people complaining about better sales on something they just bought. You were happy to have GoW for $20 until you found out you could have paid $10. So what? Have you played it yet? If you had waited for the better sale, you wouldn’t have been able to play it till this week. Regardless, why let it bother you that others are getting an even better deal. Sometime next year, a retail store somewhere will probably have it for $5. Are you gonna get mad all over again?

  • Guacamelee is a good deal, but why did EU and Asia get it added to the IGC, and NA/CA did not? I get there is different regional considerations but that sucks that it was added to the rest of the world, but only put on sale for us.

  • Really, dude?! It’s $3.75 AND it’s cross-buy. These are the things people choose to complain about. *facepalm*

BTW, Metal Gear Rising (a game I’ve seen “requested” many times for the IGC) is $15 at some big retail store this week. Might be Best Buy. Online too. Don’t care enough to go look it up. I’m sure the crybabies among you won’t go look it up, either. Or pay $2 for a newspaper to find out the old-fashioned way (in the ads). But to the rest of you, I say you’re welcome.

    Happy 17th of December! :)

  • I appreciate posts like this that list sales. It is rare for me to by games at full price on launch, but I am a sucker for some good sales.

Every week I have been adding more and more games to my list, and this list helps me plan my wallet ahead of time for when the store updates! Yippee!

    Thanks K.Steimer!

  • @PrimerIncognito, who do you think you’re talking to, little boy? I have more experience in the gaming industry than you do. I am credited in more commercial games than you are. You have no clue about the first thing about me, but you run your mouth like you know me. That amuses me.

I don’t care about the sensitive feels of indie game developers. Just because they love their crappy games doesn’t mean that I have to respect their work. If I don’t like a game, I don’t like it. That doesn’t mean that it’s actually GOOD because I don’t like it, just because someone worked hard on it.

Kanye West is pretty successful. I think he sucks worse than any indie game in history.

Not everyone likes the same games, but I am glad that every indie developer out there can wipe away a tear of gratitude now, because they have you as their White Knight.

Run along, child. The adults are talking.

  • Oooh!! Can’t wait for Dyad!!!

  • Post 168-

Calm down. Click the “comment policy” link at the bottom and read before jumping on your soap box.

  • EU had Guacamelee added for the Jan plus offering not December. So there’s that.

  • @WALL-Eballz: Just because you have a right to complain doesn’t make your complaints any more valid. But I’m sure you will continue to do so. Please save your precious $3.75. Maybe stick it somewhere else. You obviously *don’t* get that there are different regional considerations. But whatever. My soap box has at least $3.75 in it that I’ll happily spend on Guacamelee!

Regarding Metal Gear Revengeance: It’s on sale at Best Buy for $15 online with limited in-store availability.

    Cheers.

  • Guacamelee for $3.75!!! Beyond!

  • @ThumbsOfSteel

Click on the “comments policy” link below and read.

  • Cool story, bro.

You know what really sucks? This one time I paid 65 cents for a can of corn. Then I saw a few weeks later that the exact same can of corn was on sale for 59 cents. I cried myself to sleep for weeks. I mean, I had already eaten the can of corn I bought. I couldn’t return it or ask for an adjustment to the price I paid. All I could do was whine about it on blogs.[/sarcasm]

Oh, and the MGR sale is just Monday-Thursday this week. So get on it (if you have $15).

  • @ThumbsOfSteel

Click on the “comment policy” link below and read.

  • God Of War: Ascension for only $10? That’s mine!

  • Anything free for the ps vita soon?

  • Christmas shopping’s done and money’s a bit tight for the time being. Not sure if I’m going with Guac or Limbo, but Cross Buy has me leaning toward Guac.

  • ?why is there nothing really coming out for free for the ps4 for us that bought the console and playstation plus in addition it seems ps3 console owners with playstation plus are getting a lot more than ps4 owners .

  • Really wished I would have waited to pick up both Guacamelee and Limbo.
Though both are great games, it would have made it a better deal.

Atomic ninjas might finally get added though at that price.
FarCry 3 is still too high, and
God of War Acension, now that will require a little thought.

Keep the sales coming, but really wish it was not just the same games going lower.

  • @33 i so agree expect for the hug.

need to get a 20 buck psn card then…

  • Cool been wanting to try Dyad…hope its good….also nice discounts but I’m only getting Guacameelee…finally a great discount on it…can’t miss for that price….the others either I already have, want to buy on disc or don’t have interest.

  • God of War Ascension is $ 19.99 on PSN when it will be $ 10 at Discount Plus?

  • I’m confused here, will I be able to play any of these games on my brand PS4?

  • Hey Morgan,

God of War: Ascension is listed here (Holyday Sale Week 3) as $10.00 but in PSN.Store is $19.99.
Correct this, PSN.Store should go to $10.00 for PSN+ Users.

  • When will the Killzone trial be available to pre-download? It’s not showing up in the PS Store yet.

  • So, the God of War: Ascension will stay $10.00 in other tuesday? I don’t understand.

  • @ CraddaPoosta

Did you have a point to make, or did you just want everyone to know how special you think you are?

You always know someone has lost an argument when they no longer argue the points and start attacking character instead.

Post your resume. I’d like to see what industry connections you really have. Probably none, because you wouldn’t criticize people who share the same passion that you supposedly do for pursuing their dreams. If you’re really an industry insider, then you’re probably one of least liked people around. The proof is always in the pudding, son.

  • When is PS4 gonna get more titles on PSN?

  • All that macho chest-pounding “you don’t know who I am” stuff is embarrassing, dude. For real. I’m not impressed. In fact, you just sank even further.

  • Riveting tale, old bean. You bore me. You came here like you do all the time, with the sole purpose of talking crap to someone you’ve never met. It’s a fact; you DON’T know me, and you DON’T know my involvement in the gaming industry, which, as I said before, is more than you will ever contribute.

No one is pounding their chest, and only one person is shining their armor so they can charge to the defense of a bunch of hipster indie developers on iMacs drinking soy lattes at Starbucks and wearing berets and skinny jeans.

You took it upon yourself to address ME, boy. Not the other way around. Now you want to get fannyharmed that you got slapped down for running your mouth to someone you don’t know.

Was there anything else? Very good. Now, off you scoot. Go brag to all of your female friends online how you defended someone’s honor on the interwebz. Let me know how much strange that gets you.

    Dismissed.

  • Oh, yeah. I knew I recognized you from a previous blog post.

Just for fun. Google ‘PrimeroIncognito troll’.

    See what comes up.

LOL. This is nothing new for you. You have ZERO life. You just come to the PlayStation blog so you can argue with strangers over the internet. I found no fewer than a dozen posts where other people were calling you a troll, where you did nothing but argue with others and pretend you are the intellectual superior of everyone around you.

Don’t you LOVE the internet? What you do lives forever in the cloud. Makes it easier to expose trolls like you.

  • Still chest pounding…

Trolls call me trolls because I troll the trolls. It’s that whole reflecting thing… They don’t like having the tables turned on them, as we can see here. You complain about nonsense every time you post for the sole purpose of pounding your chest and trying to feel/look more important than you actually are. Again, POST YOUR RESUME. What are you afraid of? You know, if you were really an insider, you wouldn’t ask why Sony is so supportive on Indies… you would already know.

Of course if you add the word “troll” to my name and search it you’re going to find a few connections. That’s how search engines work, genius. You’re not fooling anyone. You could do that with ANYONE’S name. If you really read all my posts, you’d see exactly what I’m trying to do, and it definitely isn’t your standard internet trolling. But then you’d have to be honest with yourself, and that’s clearly a challenge you’re not willing to take on.

For the record, I’ve never been to a Starbucks (don’t drink coffee), and I think skinny jeans are repulsive. But I don’t critcize those who do drink coffee or wear skinny jeans, ’cause you know… I don’t need to.

  • No, average PEOPLE call you trolls. I wasn’t kidding. I found dozens of posts from other people calling you what you are: a troll. You have no other reason for coming here than to read other people’s comments and to insult them for not loving what you like. I don’t have to make this up, little boy. The internet is right here. Your Google works just fine. Everything I said can instantly be proven.

So, don’t take my word for it. Take the word of the community that you participate in discussions with. The gamers who come to this blog have recognized you as nothing more than a troll, and you hammer that point home with every successive post.

Are you MAD, son? Tell me why you’re mad. LOL. You amuse me.

  • And you didn’t “slap me down”… at least, I didn’t feel that way. I saw it as you embarrassing yourself again. But of course, egomania doesn’t allow one to see clearly, so I understand how you got confused…

I could call you a “troll” a few times for the hell of it too…. and after a while, search engines will put your name and the word “troll” together too…. doesn’t really mean much does it?

  • At any rate, the only reason I even added ‘troll’ to the search results was that the first several results under your name came up with other users, NOT ME, calling you a troll.

I remember an old adage. If you run into a jerk in the morning, you ran into a jerk. If you run into jerks all day, YOU’RE the jerk.

But, no. Blame everyone else except for yourself. Surely you just know something the rest of us peasants do not.

Can I join your fan club? My mommy will bake delicious gluten-free cookies. I’ll even let you borrow my Ninja Turtle walkie-talkies. We can be BFF’s.

  • Not many people have called me a troll, junior. Not many at all. If you looked into the discussions between myself and those who called me a troll, you’d see why they were doing so. They don’t like having me throw the truth in their face, and obviously, neither do you.

I could also take the chest-pounding route and mention that I’ve also gotten WAY MORE support from fellow bloggers than I have detractors. Ever since I started posting here, friend requests in my inbox, as well as other messages offering support have gone through the roof. But you only see what you want to see. Of course I’m going to have a few enemies. That’s expected. You act like it’s something to be ashamed of. You and I don’t like each other. Who’s to blame? No one. It’s just the way things work out. Not everybody likes everybody else. Chemical reactions and all that… natural forces of attraction and repulsion…

Not mad at all. You’re not worth my anger. None of you cowards are.

    But still… where’s your resume? I’m waiting…
