If you find yourself in a boring conversation, excuse yourself to the restroom and mess around with some bike trials where you’ll attempt to pull off tricks like backflips, ollies and 360s. For those with a more competitive streak, you can challenge other riders with Ghost Mode. As addictive as Urban Trial Freestyle is, try not to spend the entire party in the bathroom. That can give the wrong impression.

The holiday sales this year were really terrible. To add insult to injury, two of the games I picked up were DMC and Bioshock Infinite. Come on, guys, get your act together. I’ve been burned so many times like this now I’m getting to the point where I’m just going to refuse to buy anything. There’s no reason for this constant slapping in the face of your plus subscribers.
Don’t put games up for sale, or offer Ultimate version, only to have the game go free within a month or two. It’s so common it feels like this is the general Plus marketing strategy– squeeze every last dollar out of people willing to pay for a game, and then offer it for free once everyone already has it.
Although I love the IGC, I think the Plus team needs to either start communicating what the monthly lineup is a month or two in advance, give warnings during sales, or consider revamping the program. Right now the amazingness of the Plus IGC program is being undermined by these sales tactics making it almost pointless.
I dont see the free ps4 games in the store on the ps3.do i have to have a ps4 to get the free ps plus ps4 games?no ps4 yet but in a month or so i will.Id like to get the free games for then.

At least the EU got amazing sales last week, in addition to the 12 days of sales either of which alone beat all our sales combined.
If we’re not getting more sales it sucks, but it’s nothing new.

@GummyCore: No. The Drop lists new titles (or old titles on new platforms), demos, and betas. No DLCs, though.
If anything, your examples prove what TXCScorpion said: The sales for the week are generally listed in the Monday Plus post only if there is an additional Plus discount. Otherwise we won’t see them until the Tuesday PS Store update post.

I don’t understand why everyone is freaking out about them not posting any/all discounts on Monday’s. They do the same thing every week. Tomorrow will have all the sales, discounts, themes and avatars for the week. They’ll probably even do some New Years sale tomorrow or Wednesday.

@63, the point is, there is always additional PS plus discount in a sizable sales, unless it’s only a couple of items being offered (eg. Walking Dead season 2 season pass, discounted by the publisher due to delays). So we always get a sneak peek in the PS Plus Update posts.
Of course, if there’s a storewide 50% discount, that wouldn’t need additional PS plus discount and would be too long to list in a blog post :D
Well the person who posted this update says in the post there will be PS Plus sales added to the store on Dec 31st.
So if there aren’t any Plus sales we can slam them for false advertising, although they’ll probably shift all the blame to the person who posted this without reading it over/including real information.

is anyone else having an issue with data being erased from being disconneted to the network while playing nba2k14. is was in the finals and before game three i went to upgrade an attribute and i got disconnected from the network. well,when i was returned to the main menu i had to new my player. im still unable to connect to the network but im logged in. is it because im not connected to the network the reason i cant access my myplayer data. someone please help me out

Wasn’t expecting much with this week’s Plus update, and I’m glad I wasn’t disappointed (no, that isn’t sarcasm). I’m legitimately glad there are no sales. I don’t know about you guys but I’m still all kinds of broke from the holidays, and that’s a situation that isn’t gonna be rectified for another couple weeks lol

I just checked on the list of games that have been added to the Games with Gold thing from Xbox. It’s absolutely laughable. Beyond laughable. It’s downright tragic.
Ever since it was announced for the Vita, having a PS+ subscription seemed like something I would NEED, not just want. It took a few months for the library to really build up steam for me, but, comparatively speaking?
I think I’ll not complain anymore. No other gaming company has ever offered anything close to the value that you get from a paid PS+ subscription that you’ve kept for more than a year.
Very bad 2014 start for Vita subscribers only. Terrible psp/vita january instant game collection and most of all there is no descent sales on AAA/indie games.
I was watching a ign vedio on coming soon ps4 games guys if you haven’t got a ps4 I sugest you get 1 because after 1 yr ps3 will stop making ps3 and as of 2014 all the big tittles you love on ps3 will be ownly on ps4 like lttle big planet uncharted in famus ranch and clanch ect I can not post vedio link because I might get in trobble but trust me it will be alsome plus ps home is coming to ps4
@punkmusic don’t spread your B.S. here. there is no way they will stop making games for ps3 after 1 year… there are millions of active ps3 users, it’s game company’s loss if they will stop making ps3 games.

@52, I know exactly what you are saying. That is the only aspect of Plus! that I don’t like. For example, I bought Diablo III on Black Friday for $40, and last week they turned around and had it for $5 cheaper. Not that $5 breaks the bank, mind you, but that is $5 extra that you could spend on something else. However, there have been plenty of games that I bought, and they had them for free not long afterwards. For that reason, I rarely, if ever, buy games when they are first released anymore. Sooner or later, everything will either be on sale dirt cheap or free on Plus.

Learn to buy your games on disc. And if it’s other way around, wouldn’t you say the same thing? Don’t you want something forever than wanting it for a limited time? The only slap in the face is because of your stupidity. But then again, you are probably just trolling because maybe you got both of those games on the Steam sale going on right now.
@82: 360 got waaaaay better deals this year. I got so many games. Heck, I even got the season pass of “The Wolf Among Us” for 10 bucks. Sony didn’t really have good deals for new games this year. My 360 was there, not being touch, but the sales this year got me into it again.
@82: and the best part is that I didn’t need Live to get 85% on games. It’s different with Sony, you only get like a 40% off if you don’t have Plus.

@FranklynStreet: The only thing I disagree with is the sales being terrible. If they were really so bad, you wouldn’t have bought anything. On the other hand, you will own those games even if you quit Plus. That’s worth something. I think some people, 6 months from now, will wish they had bought those games at holiday prices instead of downloading them free via the IGC.
Which is why I try to post deals I see for the most requested games: Far Cry 3, Metal Gear Rising, etc. have all been $15 in the last month at retail. For a game I truly care about, I’d much rather have a disc copy for cheap than a digital one for nothing.
Plus none of the people getting these games on the IGC will ever be able to buy them on PSN. Well, unless they wanna call support and hope for the best. I don’t like having to call support, much less over an issue of this type.

#Carlpain that’s interesting, because as i recall the walked dead season pass was under 10 dollars not even a few months ago. and there were some deals that were the same price on both services. i do however recall attempting to purchase dead or alive ultimate 5 and ultimate marvel vs capcom 3 on live for multiple days, via paypal and my bank account, on browser and on xbox to no avail. i even contacted the customer support and they were no help. even after i went and paid for a month of live i was not able to purchase either of the games, one of which was eventually delisted.
so maybe i just screwed up, but they made little to no effort to help me out of a sticky situation which is saying something when i’m a) a paying customer who is b) trying to give you more money.
The only thing I picked up from all the sales was spelunking after all the good reviews I found it to be a let down. Hoping for some new years deals of some decent titles. Happy new year everyone.
