It’s officially 2014, and if you checked out our preview post and video last month you’ll know that means mega awesome titles are coming soon! Tomorrow our Plus members will be able to download both Don’t Starve on PlayStation 4 and DMC Devil May Cry on PlayStation 3. Don’t Starve is deceptively cute, so don’t be fooled, this is a hardcore survival simulator. You (as a Gentleman Scientist) will need to gather, hunt and build in order to stay alive in this mysterious land.

DmC Devil May Cry refreshes the story of Dante and gives him a bit of a makeover, but the combat is still as action-packed as you’d expect from a DMC title. Dante still packs his pistols Ebony & Ivory as well as his blade Rebellion, and you’ll have to switch back and forth from Angel and Demon mode in order to rack up your massive combos.

    Can we please get an update on when we can use our official Sony headsets? I spent a $100 on the Sony Wireless Headset before the Pulse Elites came out and they sit in a drawer because I can’t use them. Throw us a bone here please!

    So great games for the month. First real week into January and I’m just trying to look through all these discounts you put out…Start of 2014 and we have a ton of discounts to kick off the new year…OH wait I was on the EU page, well I’m sure we still got a bunch of…one? ONE!?! But I’m sure it for a great game…nope. Well I’m sure it for a huge discount… $1.25. I get bigger discounts from coupons in my Sunday paper.

    Please stop lying. Everybody has these imaginary game stores that they could only get great deals but nobody else can. What is your special game store that is selling DMC and Bioshock Infinite for like $6.25-10 each? It isn’t happening because anybody with a brain especially a game store that is trying to make a profit would be so dumb to sell it for too low of a price. Any business that thinks it is a good idea to sell these caliber games for normally for like $6-10 would go out of business quickly. Go look at the +$15 Bioshock Infinite or the almost $20 DMC prices on ebay. Walmart, Best Buy and GameStop is selling DMC for like $30 right now. Amazon had a one day gold box sale for like $9.99 but it was just one day and now it sells for over $19 on amazon.

    What is the special game store website that sells games like DMC and Bioshock for around $6 to $10? Provide the link to back up your claim. Let me guess that “your special game store” doesn’t have a link. Binary Domain sells for $14 on amazon, $10 on gamestop and probably like $8 on ebay. You aren’t getting these games and others like Grid 2, Borderlands 2, Kingdoms of Amalur, Saints Row: The Third, Sleeping Dogs, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Infamous 2 and the list goes on and on for as dirt cheap (around $6) as you think you could from your special game store. By the way, I purchased 8 games during October promotion from PS+ discounts for like $40. That is real…. You have to mention the great discounts that PS+ has sometimes that includes like $2.75 The Walking Dead game (entire season) and Siren Blood Curse for $9.99. Ebay sells that disc version for $30! Better than your special game store.

    dude you are absolutely right this is a shame how the U.S. plus system operates they have to know we’d prefer the EU system to this one heck we’ve said it over and over AND OVER AGAIN.

    Also I’d doubt it was Kristine who didn’t respond to us she’s cool her and Ryan but whoever else runs plus the blog etc just seems to ignore us. The EU blog literally responds to their members with actual answers not vague statements they actively seek to acquire the games members ask for and get them great sales.

    Just look today we didn’t get a clear concise response as to why sales can’t be arranged more than a week in advance. That’s crazy in the 21st century absolutely nuts. Watch we won’t even get responses well into the 2nd or 3rd pages of posts.

And I’m also getting real tired of all these apologists making excuses for everything they do because of the ”free” games they give us. First off they don’t give us anything they charge a subscription fee. Second those games aren’t yours any more than the ”free” movies netflix gives you with their subscription.

    Yes. We are aware that the instant games aren’t necessarily free but a PS+ user has the ability to play a ton of full games for a small yearly price. I paid like $40 for 15 months and downloaded like 40 games in that time. If you could play a full game like recent games such as Borderlands 2 (91 metascore), Grid 2 (82 metascore), Binary Domain (72 score), Dragon Dogma: Dark Arisen (78 score), Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (81 score) and the list goes on and on for such a small price, it is well worth it. You say the games stink but the high scores say otherwise. Some people pay $59.99 for one game that they put in a couple hours of gaming and then put it back on their shelf to collect dust…. What is more bang for the buck? “But but but the game is owned”…. And? The discounts have been lacking lately though but the discount promo in late October was awesome. I got 8 games for like $40 and those deals were hundred times better than amazon or ebay. AND THOSE GAMES WERE PURCHASED AND OWNED. Now you comeback with digital vs disc games right?

    @135 I wasn’t saying the games aren’t good. I just hate them being called free. it’s a term used when something is given to you. this is not that. in my opinion this is the way corporations get you to follow them blindly. these games aren’t free. they are simply giving you the ones you paid for already.

    and admit that the games and sales have been less and less. THIS is why they call them free games, so you won’t notice.
