The Drop: New PlayStation Releases for February 25th, 2014
The Drop

Garrett slides an arrow against the string of his bow, candlelight nipping at his foot — just out of reach. The guard paces the hallways in silence, unaware of the glinting metal trained at his temple. One whistle later and the guard’s body is splayed on the ground, and Garrett steps over it without a word. Just another moment in the shadowy campaign of Thief, which launches on PS3 and PS4 this week.

This reimagining of the classic stealth series arrives on PlayStation with a dark and violent story steeped in intrigue. The alleyways of the City are plagued by disease, and Garrett has awoken from a strange slumber to face immense odds stacked against him. Move through the world in silence, or leave a trail of bodies; all can be yours, if you wish it.

Alongside Garrett’s return comes another chapter in the Castlevania series. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 arrives on PS3 this week, challenging players with intricate puzzles and frenzied combat. Feast on the blood of the living, and dispatch the forces sent against our red-cloaked hero.

  • Would love to see a PS2 Classics and PSOne Classics update for PS4. Bunch of games I want to play, no way to play them. :P

    The Ps Vita can play MGS1. A Ps3 has to download MGS1, & then can be transferred over to the Ps Vita via USB.

    @86
    I agree. I would like MGS: Portable Ops & + be made playable on the Ps Vita. The above method does not work as I have tried myself, & I was unable to play it on my PSP due to controls i.e. Lack of Right Thumb Stick on a PSP.

    Strider on Ps4 would be a buy, but the Internet says there’s a minor graphical Insuperiority to the obviously Insuperiority XB1 console version. Until that is fixed, I won’t be purchasing Strider on any Platform, Ps4 being the console I want to play it on.

    I am also waiting on Mercenary Kings for Ps4, I bought 3 extra DS4 controllers & haven’t opened 2. I understand Steam has an Early Access Version, which was also on sale for 48 hours a couple weeks back, which Updates to the Full Version when completed. So, Monkey See Monkey Do, & if This Monkey see’s That Monkey get His Banana for Less than You want to get for Your Banana, Then I don’t want Your Banana Fresh. I’ll let it Ripen.

  • Happy birthday Ryan!

    I want to get Thief, but as I got a Vita last week I will probably stock up on some of the sales this week.
    However…

    HERC’S ADVENTURES!!!

  • Can i get this game at midnight or normal time?

  • When are you guys going to get your act together on preorders? When I ordered Theif for PS4 it said I could download it after 12 AM Eastern Time. It is now 1:24 Eastern and still can’t download

    This is ridiculous that simple announced deadlines can’t be met by a multi milliion/billion dollar company. This happens over and over and over again on preorders and is completely unacceptable that somebody at your company can’t tell time. Get your act together Sony

  • Damn…was hoping for a Thief demo.
