It’s easy to look at Lone Survivor’s art style and think it’s not going to scare you, but this game is legitimately freaky. You’ll take the role of a creeptastic guy attempting to survive in a city overrun by disease, which apparently turns you into a nasty walking ball of fleshy bits. Given the scarcity of ammo, you’ll likely be focused on hiding from the flesh monsters roaming the world versus conducting constant head-on assaults. The story unfolds based on your choices throughout the game and there are multiple endings to discover as a result. The final bonus is that this title is Cross-Buy, so PlayStation Plus members will receive both the PS3 and PS Vita versions of the game.

I wonder what the issue is stemming from. I mean I haven’t noticed any hiccups like this in the past. But I’ve only been a PS+ member since November, so I am sure there have been all sorts of errors I wasn’t around for.

Neonridr , one time we hade a playstation network black out. some hackers got into the system and messed she1t up. was like a whole month without psn. anyways wont be surprised if we have to wait until next tuesday. time will tell.
@PainofSarrow, I remember hearing all about that a few years ago. I am definitely familiar with that whole mess (fingers crossed we don’t see something like that ever again).
It would just be nice for someone to communicate this information. I mean don’t the moderators of this blog see our posts? Don’t they understand how frustrating it is to have zero communication or information as to what the problem is? Even just a simple, “sorry for the delay, we are working hard at getting things restored” means that someone is at least paying attention.
My PlayStation store has STILL NOT UPDATED… WHY? Its Thursday 3/13 and it was supposed to update 3/11. This really makes me mad as I can’t take advantage of the sales or the free game! You need to fix this PlayStation!

My us plus subscription ends in in 2 weeks, and my Euro plus subscription ends in a month and a half. both isn’t updated till this minute and both will not be renewed.
I’ll go ahead and reiterate this point for whoever (if anyone) is bothering to follow this thread from Sony anymore: Communication is a virtue. Talk to your customers. The information vacuum you’re creating by being silent on the lack of a PSN update is leading to a real PR problem.
Let’s just wait till the time when the store renews to say anything. I’m curious though if sony will do something for the inconvenience or if they’ll just say “Our bad! S#!% happens! XD” -.-…

I guess people don’t know how to use Twitter or Google. When it didn’t go live early on Sony put out a statement saying they were working on it, then Wednesday they put out another statement saying they were hoping to have it setup right by Wednesday night, And not to long ago they put out a statement saying it’s partially updated but some deal’s still haven’t published and they are working on the rest. What do you want them to go? Come knock on your door in person and give you minute by minute updates?
I know it’s frustrating since I’m waiting for Lone Survivor myself, but they have actually done decently in communicating if you actually know where to look. They always update there twitter when something like this happen’s and they’ve put out 2 updates Tuesday, 2 updates yesterday, and I’m betting if it isn’t fixed we’ll see 2 more today. Sitting on here whining saying you’re going to end the subscription because you have to wait 2-3 day’s to get your free game isn’t going to help anyone and deep down you know you aren’t getting rid of it so stop threatening, we all know you aren’t going to give up access to your entire backlog of free games.
@NightDrifter01, well played!!!! I have been a Plus member for a while, they are free games, we arent paying for them, no real reason to complain. EVERY Plus member has access to a minimum of 12 games currently, cant tell me that ALL games have been beaten. I have over 200+ Games received from Plus, and I dont have enough HDD Space to hold them all. I am not concerned at all with the store, SCEA will get it done.

Oh no they are days late with a mediocre below 10 buck game. Shuddup people, plus is.a good deal, these people are human and have to deal with unpredictable stuff.
I am curious, is the level of communication from Sony now consistent with when they have had issues in the past? Stuff happens, but it is really disappointing to see the lack of communication on their part, and while there was some Twitter info, people should not have to go to an external site they may or may not even use to get an update.

1. These games aren’t actually free. We are paying for a service that allows us access to these games. Nothing that is part of PS Plus is free, because you’re paying for PS Plus.
2. I shouldn’t have to scour the internet to find information on the delay of service. This is the official playstation blog! This is where people go to get information about the store, not twitter. If they are going to give us information about the delay anywhere, it should be here, and it should be something more substantial then “we’re running late”.
It’s been almost 48 hours… That’s 2 bloody days. This is completely ridiculous, and really disappointing… Why it takes two days to update your store, even with technical difficulty, is beyond me.
@nightdrifter01- as proplipten pointed out the games arent free. consider it more of a long term rental. $49.99 gets you access to games, avatars, themes, and discounts. while all those prices showing free is enticing, it can fool people into believing they are free. it is a great deal, especially if you have limited funds, because it saves money, but the second your subscription ends, all those goodies are unusable-save games you bought on discount, so you keep those savings. however some claim you save nothing on the discounts, but i think those are people who have been burned by sony one time too many.
this IS the appropriate venue for imformation, and while they can ignore us thanks to their dang lawer bs, we have every right to come here to find a post saying “we are very sorry for the delay, this is what is causing it, this is our target time for update completion.”

at the end of their work day they should update us with their new target time so we dont sit here refreshing the blog and web store while they’ve gone home to their families. you may say that we’re obsessing over it, and we are i admit, but obviously we were, and are eager to play lone survivor, (which is not under $10, but we are paying for the access). while because of their legalese that id guess over 80% of people dont read. i am visually impaired, i read slow and dont speak legalese, so i cant follow that crap, but i know all companies cover their rears with it. all that aside, we should have the right to access it when it was scheduled for release. there was a hitch, that happens, completely understandable, but by communicating as little as possible, at the wrong venue i might add, shows they dont care. we’re still waiting, thats all, and sadly i will be puppysitting til sunday so i cant play til sunday night since you’re supposed to play with no distractions in a dark room. sucks for me, so oh well, but i am still eagerly waiting. knowing its there for when i CAN play will be welcomed relief… heres hoping for tonight for those who can play:).

Not to poke the sleeping bear, but those of you actually being petty enough to cancel your PSN over a $12 game being late (not cancelled, just LATE), after you’ve already received so many other free games that have MORE than paid back your cost of PSN, along with other goodies… go ahead and cancel if that’s your perogative. I grow tired of defending myself to Xbots who try to accuse me of being the spoiled/whining PS fanboy… and it’s this kind of entitled spoiled complaining that stereotype stems from…
