  • Sony Rewards Visa $50 code just came in the e-mail yesterday. Time for a GTA Shopping spree!

  • Played through Thomas Was Alone on PC, absolutely incredible game.

  • Wonder if Thomas Was Alone is Cross Buy like Lone Survivor?

  • Awesome haven’t played thomas was alone or unit 13. This is going to be a fun week for me! 2 vita games and infamous!

  • @3 I think they said it is cross-buy in the monthly update.

  • @#3 “This title is also Cross-Buy, so Plus members will receive this for both PS3 and PS Vita.”

  • Wasnt gta v was suppoused to be on sale?

  • Can’t wait for Unit13. Game looks soon good.
And to those that are/will be asking, yes, Thomas was along is cross buy. meaning you’ll get it free on the vita as well. They talked about that when they announced it earlier this month.

  • Is there any reason that indie games like Thomas Was Alone can’t also be available for PS4? I know PS3 and PS4 are much different in terms of the OS developers have to write for, it would just be nice to have an official explanation of why some games are ported easily and others just aren’t. I’d think a lot of the PSN games would be prime for placing on PS3 and PS4.

  • There’s a typo in this post, it’s needs to be if, not when, as in “if the Playstation Store updates tomorrow”
All kidding aside, both of these games are great, Unit 13 is definitely an underrated Vita title, and Thomas Was Alone is justifiably praised.

  • Thomas was alone was on sale in january then made free in march. Sony I thought you were going to stop putting games on sale then adding them to instant game collection months later.

  • My Vita is getting lots of love this month. Loving the Cross Buy games as they’ll be going on my Vita not my PS3.

  • My biggest problem with Plus! is that they consistently add games that were on sale not long before. Both Thomas was Alone and Lone Survivor were both on sale dirt cheap around a month ago, and here they are for free after everyone’s already bought them. However, I am happy for Unit 13. Played the demo a while back, and I’ve been wanting to pick it up anyway. The only trouble is that I won’t have time to play it anytime soon what with the Final Fantasy X/X2 HD Collection and Infamous Second Son coming out this week.
Which brings me to my lesser problem with Plus!: Too many games on the back burner!! Although this is what you could call a good problem!

  • @11 … This is how its always worked… When games go on sale with huge discounts, that is always an indicator that it can and most likely will be a candidate for entry into the IGC… I kept falling for it last year and just stopped buying games on sale completely, unless it was a must have game for me.

  • Ok, but where is “Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite (PS Vita)” ? It’s the last tuesday for March 2014 !

  • @15 Ehh The 25th is the last Tuesday of the month. Guess what’s coming out that day on Plus?

  • Not big on Indies, but Unit 13 s a pretty strong game. I already own it, but I recommend it to those who dont yet have it

  • Been looking forward to trying Unit 13, after all the horrible reviews that Call of Duty : Black Ops Declassified got.

But, with Final Fantasy X-X2 HD Remix coming out tomorrow, and since I am picking up South Park : The Stick of Truth tonight, I probably won’t get to that one for at least another month or so.

Definitely picking up at least five of those GTA titles, too; if my PS+ subscription didn’t already pay for itself in January, that sale would do it.

PS+ has become absolutely essential to me as a gamer.

  • @#18-No need to be rude. Name calling gets us nowhere in life.

  • Sorry, forget my question. I was one week too soon. :(

  • I’m so glad I bought a 64gb card on ebay. My vita keeps getting that PS + love.

  • Will Europe also get these free PS Plus games or are we chopped liver again??????????

  • Quick question about the current “Spend $60 and get $10” deal. I bought Infamous 2nd Son which is $59.99 so will I be getting the $10 or do I really have to spend one more cent in the store?

  • So uh… let’s see… when will we be getting those 3 Vita games replaced? Gravity Rush, Uncharted, and Wipeout, and what shall replace them? Hm… the wait begins another time. They were not free for plus during the whole update fiasco last month AND they all have price drops, must mean something.

  • Great!! I think i’ll buy 3 games of GTA’s franchise, SA, VC, Episodes from Liberty City

  • @24 yeah you are good for “Buy 60 get 10”

  • @24 It was already explained in a previous blog post that 59.99 will qualify you for the offer. You don’t need to buy anything else.

  • Quick question about the $10 credit for every $60 spent on the PSN; would a purchase of $59.99 be rounded up to $60 for that promotion, or would I need to buy a $.49 avatar, too, to get the ten bucks?

I think I will be getting the digital version of South Park and the physical game for FFX-X2 HD Remix, but I would just get the digital version if I had to, to get the credit.

    Thanks!

  • Thanks for the help 27 and 28

  • I bought Thomas was alone when it was on sale. I really loved it. I wish the dlc was on sale. Give the game a shot. U will be surprised.

  • Wow, Steamworld Dig and Luftrausers for $8 a piece! That is an amazing price. I thought they would be $15 a piece easy. Thanks for Thomas Was Alone, never played it can’t wait to try it on my Vita!

  • I kinda wish Sony would offer some kind of thanks if you already have a game that pops up on the IGC, not something like refund the full amount for the game to your wallet, but something like $3-$4 as “Thanks for purchasing it, here some credit for your next purchase”
Although I really doubt they could put a system like that in place

  • + Kristine Steimer

    I know, see my #21 post. :)

  • Already played twice through Thomas Was Alone on Vita. Very good game. Danny Wallace, the voice of Shaun Hastings from Assassin’s Creed, narrates Thomas Was Alone, it’s incredible.

  • i would rather get MGS HD collection on PS+ like Euros got.

  • Played Thomas Was Alone on my Vita and was so into the game that my friend had to snatch his Vita back from my hands.

In other news since we getting Thomas Was Alone this week and we got Lone Survivor last week its nice to see there are no comments of “We do not appreciate these indie game garbage.” I hope i’m not jynxing this but I hope this level of maturity continues with plus games in the future.

  • PLEASE eliminate the 100 icon limit on Vita so I can buy more games!!! Or at least don’t count the icons if they’re in folders, that would help A LOT.

  • I really enjoyed Thomas Was Alone. I bought it for $2-3 in January, and would gladly pay more for it if I could. A really sharp little 2D platformer. The visuals reminded me of Adventure, Pong, and Breakout (among others) from the old Atari 2600. IMHO you’re cheating yourself if you play only those games with stunning graphics. But hey, to each his own.

I bought the DLC for the full price of $3.50 knowing it would be very short and came without trophies. Worth it for me just to get another small helping of TWA goodness. But if either of those things are dealbreakers for you, then obviously you shouldn’t buy the DLC.

Games will always and forever join the IGC just after being heavily discounted. It’s good business. However, there’s a logical fallacy in refusing to buy anything: Not all of those games will ever join the IGC.

  • I don’t know if anyone else is complaining but I will those discounts in “other sales” we’ve seen them before multiple times and those games aren’t that good can we get another roll of the dice.

  • BTW, will definitely be picking up more than one (maybe all) of the GTAs from the PS2 era this week. Such a steal.

  • Bought Thomas Was Alone on sale a couple of months ago, it was a charming and satisfying experience. Looking forward to checking out Unit 13!

  • My vita gonna explote soon, Final Fantasy X an X-2 HD, Thomas, unit 13, need for speed of the discount on previous weeks, battle of Z is close to the platinum, I just finish my platinum of Stick of truth, pending castlevania lord of shadow 2, walking dead second chapter “poor clementine, but now is a warrior”, wolf amoung us, metal gear Zero with awesome price.

so this is my list of the last 4 or 6 weeks, the playstation Store is awesome but the playstation plus is alone, nobody compete with this service simply I love be a plus member

  • PS VITA TIME

  • “You can download Thomas Was Alone and Unit 13 after the PlayStation Store updates tomorrow, 3/18” LET’S HOPE THAT DOESN’T MEAN 5 WEEKS FROM NOW LIKE LAST WEEKS LITTLE STUNT THEY PULLED.

  • Yeah, I pretty much HAVE to import a 64GB memory stick now. I hate lugging around cartridges (I am looking at you, 3DS), and I like having as much of my entire library available at the same time as possible.

Even if I took a full two weeks off of work and did nothing but play games on my backlog for 12 hours a day, I would still have at least twenty games to beat, and that’s not counting any of the purchases I will be making today and tomorrow.

It’ll take me months to even have the time to upgrade to the PS4, at this rate, and then I get to start all over again.

What a wonderful problem to have.

  • @46 CraddaPoosta Amazon is selling it for 108 right now, and it will ship from the us so you’ll get it wicked quickly. I took advantage of amazon when it was listed improperly and got it for 70 bucks. That was a steal. I love my 64 gig card.

  • You know, it would be a great idea, I think, to allow PSN customers to order hardware direct from Sony from their PSN account, perhaps even with a special PS+ discount for loyal subscribers.

That would be a HUGE incentive for people who haven’t signed up yet to get onboard, and would open the door for all kinds of bundles, while recapturing some of the market that is currently shopping at brick-and-mortar stores, or through sites like Amazon. I know I would definitely use that feature, if it were available.

  • Tnx ill get all PS Vita games here just one question those GTA stories games are working fine on Vita?

  • @45 @46 I found my 64gb card on ebay from a Hong Kong merchant. $96 and in about a week I already had it. Well worth it.

  • GTA LCS was already given away for free for PS+ subscribers, and it is fantastic on the Vita. Mapping the L and R buttons to the right analog stick makes driving as close to the console experience as possible, and the bigger, sexier screen makes the game a lot more immersive.
