Transistor Comes to PS4 May 20th

Transistor is coming soon! Mark your calendar for May 20th, 2014 — In just a few weeks, our next game will be available on PS4! We’ve been putting the finishing touches on it, and we think it’s just about ready.

If you’re not familiar with the game, Transistor is a sci-fi themed action RPG that invites you to wield an extraordinary weapon of unknown origin as you fight through a stunning futuristic city. Gameplay seamlessly integrates thoughtful strategic planning with fast-paced action and rich atmospheric storytelling. During the course of the adventure, you’ll piece together the Transistor’s mysteries as you pursue its former owners.

  • Now this will be the game that I will get for sure gotta luv the indie games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • (⌐■_■) DAY ONE.

  • Awesome! Been waiting for this!

  • Is there any chance for a Vita port? I loved Bastion to death and I’m certain that Transistor would be amazing on the go.

  • Day 1 from me! Loved Bastion on Steam and the soundtrack for this game has got me pumped.

Oh and a shout from me for bringing Bastion to the PlayStation Nation as well.

  • I miss the Bastion fantasy setting. I’m not a big sci-fi guy but I’ll check this game out before letting it slide off my radar.

  • Heard quite a bit of positive buzz around this game. I’ll have to check it out! The E3 gameplay I saw looked really cool.

  • Hope it is priced at $15, the surge of twenty dollar games are rarely worth it.

  • I really don’t like this new trend of downloadable titles costing 20$, this is a ridiculously high price point for these games that is not in line with PC or Smartphone gaming, and makes me think that there was some kind of bar for maximum price that was previously set at 15$ and was now raised.

    Outlast
    Mercenary Kings
    Strike Suit Zero
    and now Transistor

All cost 20$ at the time of release. This is unacceptable to me as an avid gamer, and causes me to wait for a sale to get them (unless they are free with PS+ or have a day-1 sale of 15$ or below).

I hope other consumers in the community will follow suit and show that stealth raising the price is unacceptable. 15$ is more than enough for a low-production value game.

  • As an older gamer without a lot of time, this would be a great native port to the Vita and one of the reasons I got it!

  • Finally a release date! I can’t wait.

  • WORK WITH GOOGLE online, seriously I couldn’t be happier I work when I want and where I want. And with a little effort I easily bring in 50h and sometimes even as much as 80h…heres a good example of what I’m doing……..jℴℬs35.ℭℴℳ

  • Wow much sooner than I was expecting! Can’t wait to finally play!!

  • @ LeeorV

As a Plus subscriber, Outlast and Mercenary Kings were free to you (on day one!), and since everyone who has a PS4 probably also has Plus (for online play), that means everyone got them for free. The release of Strike Suit Zero featured a $4 discount for Plus. Only the tiny number of PS4 owners who aren’t signed up for Plus have to pay those prices if they want the games, and Sony probably has to charge them more to offset the “losses” incurred by those offers. Also, keep inflation in mind; the omnipresent beast always lurking around every corner of the economy. (Not saying for sure that’s at play in this case, but it is something to keep in mind.) Prices for ANY product are always set as low as a company’s bottom line can handle, I assure you of this.

And what on Earth is “stealth raising”? People see the prices. Plain as day. It’s kinda hard for them to be stealth when they’re required to post these things publicly.

  • Looks awesome. Would love to have a Vita port of this.

  • I wonder if it will ever come to vita :))))
