  • Awesome deal. I grabbed tokyo jungle, jurassic park bundle, and monkey island bundle!

  • This is nice and all..but you know what would make it better…Crash and Spyro on Vita!

  • Why is Crash Commando unavailable? I really hope this gets fixed today

  • a Great sale that was. i got 10 games…

    World Gone Sour
    Urban Trial Freestyle
    Tales of Monkey Island
    Stuntman: Ignition
“Sam & Max” The Devil’s Playhouse
    Plants vs Zombies
Jurassic Park: The Game – Full Season
    Gotham City Impostors
    Braid
Back to the Future: The Game – Full Series

all for 9.80, just to think for one game alone on its regular price is 10$ or more. the best sale so far this year for me. the rest of those games i already got or dont have as much interest in. ppl def need to pick up tokyo jungle. best 15$ i spent on psn when released. crash commando is a must and my most played psn game. sony keeps it gangster aha. hope to see more flash sales like this.

  • Don’t bother buying any of the Crash or Spyro games. They are all just a bad joke and a slap to the face. North America cant use them on our Vitas even if they are the top 6 ps1 games requested. Cant even transfer with Ps3. But everywhere pretty much it works fine. I am left feeling scammed. It just shows how bad sony is in this region. They cant provide the games we want. And usually when you update you systems they usually kill it. For weeks. Ps3 Bad Hard drive update and the Vita memory card update. I wonder how many more months it will be before they kill our Ps4 Hard drives?

  • @336

Your beef is with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

This is the US Playstation blog, run by the Sony Computer Entertainment America social media team.

While they’re both part of the Playstation division, SCEA and SCEE both have a fair amount of autonomy from one another, especially when it comes to things like PSN sales.

If you don’t like the sales you’re getting in the EU, then complain to them, because SCEA has nothing to do with that.

And if you want to buy things from the US store, make a US account and buy US PSN cards online. Nothing stopping you. You can even register for PS+ in both regions if you like.

That goes for everybody else complaining that US gets this while EU gets that or EU doesn’t get this but US gets that and it’s not fair and blah blah blah. You’re misunderstanding how this works, despite the fact that the staff here at the PS blog has gone over this I don’t even know how many times.

  • hello, could anyone tell me which games listings come with Spanish??
    thank you very much

  • I bet everyone is clamoring to play crash and spyro on their psps….. oh wait… isn’t Sony supposed to be supporting their new device instead of their antiquated device?

This sale has more games for PSP than it does VITA.. kinda sad

  • do as @351 wrote.

    what’s stoping you?

make UK and US account, buy PSN cards online and enjoy both regions :)

  • Some of us don’t have the money to afford new devices and are still happy with their “antiquated,” perfectly functional, consoles. A lot of people obtained their first PS3 with the 2013 Black Friday bundle. There is also a far larger installed user base with PSPs than with Vitas. As such, I was happy to see this sale. I didn’t want too much of what was offered, but I’m NOT the only customer.

For instance, many excitedly snapped up Tokyo Jungle, while I am not interested. This disinterest did not require me to immediately post about how Sony is directly attacking me by refusing to obey my every desire. (Sarcasm begin-) Yeah, how dare you, Sony? Why didn’t you check my game wishlist and drop all of those to 99 cents?! Tch- so unfair with your trying to appeal of a broad audience of more than one selfish human being. Geez. (-end sarcasm)

  • I, personally, would have preferred some of the offerings on the EU sale, but I’m not over at the EU blog whining my face off, griping over and over again, pushing the other posters to violent tendencies.

This US sale made a lot of people happy, and allowed them to snap up some titles that they genuinely wanted.
I, at least, am not going to begrudge them that.

This is like going to a grocery store and having a frothing fit in the middle of the aisle because they put the “wrong” brand of cereal on sale. Then as people around you pick up the discounted cereal, you harangue them and spit on their faces for their choice.

  • I own like 90% of the sale. If people are still on the fence of what to pick up I highly recommend back to the future, Sam and max, and tales of monkey island. From the sale I picked up world gone sour, when vikings attack cross buy, and retro/grade so I can use the guitar controller. This was a awesome sale. Wish there were more like this.

  • @ XerasCorp

I wholeheartedly agree. You nailed it.

It reminds me of the cretins who regularly post drivel about indie games being “crap” and how the people who buy them must have poor taste or some such nonsense. Some people really do believe that everything should revolve around them. And it seems no matter how many times those of us with sensibility explain the finer details behind their self-inflicted misery, they still keep going as if they’re brainwashed zombies… repeating the same embarrassing inanities with an ever-increasing fervor, refusing to accept the knowledge that would bring them inner peace. It has to be some sort of mental illness. (Of course I’m only referring to the adults that do this. The youth simply don’t know any better and will hopefully mature to understand one day. The adults, however… yeah, it’s kinda sad.)

  • I suppose it is/was a good sale. And yes, for many it all depends on their own personal wish lists and backlogs. I wound up buying 7/8 of the PS1 games, and nothing else. (Don’t care for kart racing; got all the rest.) So I blew $7. At least I got some quality games at a virtually unbeatable price.

But while I’m not saying this sale sucked, I am nodding my head in agreement at those who were anxious all last week that we wouldn’t get a sale anything like the EU got. At the time, I figured Sony would come through with something. And they did; this just isn’t the “something” many were hoping for. Yes, everyone can get multiple accounts. In my case it wouldn’t be worth it.

I don’t subscribe to the idea EU PSN/Plus is so much better than ours, especially with the dramatic improvement to our IGC (for the PS3 anyway). I normally roll my eyes at “EU envy” posters, but this time I find it difficult to argue.

  • Can we get a fix or an extension on Crash Commandos? ‘Cause it ain’t working and it looks pretty interesting.

  • You guys having trouble buying Crash Commando…are you using the web store? It appears to be available there for me. Every step of the process works fine, up until “Confirm Purchase.” Not gonna click that one since I don’t actually want the game. :P

  • 30 PS3 games for only 99 cents each? I bought 26 games for under $26! Crash Commando still shows as “Unavailable” (please fix Sony!), and the other 3 I already own.

  • Crash Commando: DON’T click on the game once you get to the web store. Just click the little cart icon to add it to your cart. Go to your cart and proceed from there.

The unlock is unavailable, but the full game isn’t. So…either you’re doing it wrong, or the ability to complete your purchase is glitched if you have the demo already. If you still can’t get anything to work, at least try deleting the demo and going for the full game before throwing in the towel.[/2 cents]

  • Just putting my voice in that Crash and Spyro NEED to come to the Vita! As someone who travels frequently (without an internet connection), portability with quality titles is what keeps me with Sony. Let me relive my childhood on these long plane rides! I mean, at this price I bought them regardless. I’ll just hang on until they’re enabled!

  • ThumbsOfSteel74

i could buy it before i downloaded the demo but after it said it was unavailable , i can only purchase the full game unlock but it cost 9,99$ :(

i deleted the demo from my ps3 but how can i delete it from my download list because the demo is causing all this

can i contact sony by mail so that they delete the demo from my download list ?

  • and also once am connected on the web store the little cart icon to add it to my cart turs into unavailable

  • It (Crash Commando) is unavailable in both the web store and on PSN. I can’t add it to the cart in the web store, and it’s still unavailable on PSN. [/reality]

  • Someone should contact Sony (or whoever is responsible for the upkeep of the PS Store) and tell them about this. Maybe they’ll do something.

  • We may have a better selection of games in the EU Store but certainly don’t have the prices. 30 games for $.99, we’ve nothing for less than €3.99. Spelunky was the only real bargain. I know there are some good reductions but there’s not a single game going as cheap as that. Are we going to get something similar in Europe?

  • OK, So I have the Spyro games and a couple of the Crash games because of PSN+.

Why the heck can I not buy them permanently now that they are .99 each? It’s not that I’m intending to cancel my subscription but eventually Sony is going to abandon the PS3 and there may be some of the PSN+ games I’d like to keep.

  • I hope Sony extends the Crash Commando sale when this sale ends so we can actually buy it. I really wanted to purchase this game at .99, but when I checked it still says unavailable.

  • I tried contacting sony about the Crash Commando demo glitch and I didn’t get through. They had me wait for about an hour before they said noone was available to assist me. I hope they fix this soon, the sale is almost over! Why would they let you try the game out and then in this case I liked it and wanted to buy it only to find out it’s now unavailable because I downloaded the demo? Doesn’t make any sense. SONY, READ THESE BLOGS AND FIX THIS ISSUE PLEASE!!!

  • About Crash Commando…the same damn thing happened with me…never heard about the game…downloaded the demo earlier today to try it out…loved it and when I went to buy it….unavailable.Come on Sony…the sale is almost over.I tried everything possible but got nothing….even going to “purchase the full game” through the game menus but there is saying $10.00.

  • wow this is an amazing steam like sale. i’ll be buying a bunch of those titles. thank you!

  • Seriously, Sony make the Crash games including Team Racing available on the Vita! I don’t care who is at fault in the situation the point is that the fans have been speaking out for years and now especially that they are on sale and being bought by people like me who have Vitas and the Playstation blog staff is obviously hearing us and aware of the problem so our demand should get passed on to the right people.

  • Sale is great and all but its kinda useless if you only get error messages when trying to check out!!!!

  • I picked up some games I wanted: Tales of Monkey Island, echochrome II, Super Stardust HD, and Red Factions I & II. I didn’t have any error messages, but I purchased the games on the console, not the online store.

  • If I want to buy just one game do I have to spend $5? Can I just directly pay for it without adding to my wallet?

  • Folks, Crash Commando can be bought on Brazilian PSN. It’s gonna cost US$ 1,12. I don’t think Sony is going to fix this before the end of the sale so I bought it there…

  • just bought crash commando, works fine.

  • @medenko1975

    yea…I don’t believe you

  • It would be nice to be able to pay directly with PayPal in the future. Anyway, I ended up buying nine things in total, including all the Spyro and Crash games!

  • Crash Commando: Fair enough, guys. Apparently it is broken/glitched. I was just trying to post some ideas that might help. Workarounds are the key since things often stay broken. You should all contact support (starting with the Knowledge Center link at the bottom of this page). It may not help (and you’re almost out of time anyway), but this blog is virtually useless for getting things done.

I’d be more inclined to believe medenko1975 if he posted any details at all.

  • Got Spyro the Dragon games. Thank you for the sell, please make it so that those games are playable on my PSVita.

    Thank you Chen

  • i bought all the crash games and spyro but i don’t have a PS3 anymore :( but i have a Vita so please Sony make them playable for the Vita

  • Just picked up Crash Bandicoot Warped and Crash Team Racing W0000T
time to relive my childhood, very happy with this!

  • Just barely made it. Picked up 6 games. Unfortunately, didn’t get the spyro games

  • Sony should do more 99 cent deal in the future.

  • I bought Super Stardust HD and Gotham City Imposters.

  • Got Gex Enter The Gecko, Red Faction 1/2, and Jurassic Park.

  • @medenko1975: Hey, I asked for proof and there it is. Fair is fair. (Didn’t see your comment till much later since comments with links require mod approval.)

I’m not sure exactly what issue others were having. I assume my workarounds didn’t help anyone. (After all, nobody posted “Hey, that worked! Thanks!”) The problem seemed to be with downloading the demo first and trying to unlock the full game. People were being charged full price, or were unable to purchase the game at all. Apparently deleting the demo didn’t solve the problem.

In any case, this shouldn’t have happened. The publishers are the real losers here, because I’m sure many more people than those commenting on this post were unable to buy the game on sale.

  • Gotham City Impostors
    Retro City Rampage (PS Vita)
    Tokyo Jungle
    When Vikings Attack (PS Vita)

  • Amazing deals. Please Sony, have more Flash Sales like this one and the Ubisoft one. I have spent money both times. All in the name of Trophy Hunting

  • Damn, where is Spyro and Crash Bandicoot games for PS Vita?

Sorry, but this is disappointing…. I really wished to buy all 3 Spyro and Crash Bandicoot games at once, but none of these are available for PS Vita, What the H***!!?

I’ll hope these games will be available for PS Vita (with a discount PLEASE!!, if possible of course)
