Update: With both PS3 and PS4 Private Beta’s now in effect, we sent out codes for both systems on May 20 as planned. We’re aware that some PS4 owners may have received a beta code for PS3 but don’t currently own that console. We’re working to send PS4 vouchers to everyone in the beta that received a PS3 voucher since January. These will be sent out in batches over the next week or so, please be patient. If you haven’t already registered and plan to, please make sure to tick off what console you own in the appropriate check box.
Hi all, since January, a growing number of PlayStation fans have been enjoying the Private Beta program for PlayStation Now, our streaming game service launching this summer.
Up until this point, our Private Beta for PS Now has been available on PlayStation 3 systems. We’re pleased to announce that the Private Beta program is expanding and will make its debut on PlayStation 4 systems on May 20. If you’ve registered for the PS Now Private Beta, keep an eye on your mailbox for a voucher code.
PS Now gives you the freedom to play select PS3 games like you already stream movies, TV, shows, and music – directly to your favorite PS Now compatible devices without any discs or downloads. The first supported devices launching in 2014 are PS4, PS3, select 2014 Bravia TVs, and PlayStation Vita, with more devices down the road.
The Private Beta program has been going great so far, and we want to give thanks to the testers that have participated – your valuable feedback is helping us make the service even better. Thus far, Private Beta testers have logged more than 50,000 gameplay hours discovering new games, rediscovering favorites and racking up Trophies!
We are also happy to announce that access to the PS3 Private Beta program will expand to a broader audience in the near future. Those who aren’t able to download the Beta after redeeming the code, Check your email again. It might be for the PS3 and not PS4. I had the same confusion.

yer i downloaded mine on ps3 but when tryed on uk ps store said error on code but on american acoount it would download and let me in

I don’t know what’s up man. I too was under the impression that it was a PS4 code because of all the news that Playstation were gonna give out codes for PS4 starting May 20th.
Ditto here. Got my email. Submitted the code and it redeemed fine and showed the Playstation Now Beta but nothing appears in my “Library” on my ps4. Tried it on my vita and it shows Playstation Now beta, but that it’s not compatible (I know the beta is not open for vita yet, but it was worth a try).
Just read my email closer. “Access to this First Phase of Private Beta will allow you to access the PlayStation™Now beta on your PS3™ system.” Bummer. I was excited and in my haste I skipped this crucial info. Weird that I now ger a PS3 invite at the start of the PS4 beta and I never checked the box for PS3. I hope this is a glitch that will be fixed so I can test this on PS4.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE WAITING ON PS4 CODES: I spoke with Sony Playstation Network support line (a supervisor) and I was told the new keys received today are PS3 keys and only will work on PS3. The list for PS4 keys is still being generated and the email for PS4 keys should go out within the next 48 hours. “PS3 beta key holders are NOT guaranteed to receive a PS4 key”. This is what they told me today which makes no sense since I asked for a PS4 key. smh… WTF Sony!!!
Same here I only asked for PS4 key considering I don’t own a PS3 anymore. Got excited this morning since I saw the playstation NOW but unfortunately it was for a PS3 even through I didn’t ask for a PS3 key. :'(

Ya, thanks +RavenXero. I missed the boat on PS3 last gen and definitely didn’t check the PS3 box either. But I do have PS4 and Vita now and most definitely checked both those boxes. Hopefully they will fix this or I’ll get a new code when the PS4’s are sent out.
I got the PS3 code today and got excited…then I remembered that I don’t have my PS3 anymore. Oh well. I had signed up for PS4 as well and I do have an old PS4 at my mom’s that I may set up Friday.
That’s interesting RavenXero as i’ve also spoke to Sony and was told that the code would indeed work on the ps4. They said once the store updates at 5pm pacific time we would be able to download the beta. We will have to wait and see, That being said, I can’t imagine this key not working as most people here have checked the box for the ps4 beta including myself. I no longer even own a ps3 so i’m not sure why Sony would send out a bunch of keys to people requesting a PS4 beta the PS3 one. Additionally today 5/20 was the day that the codes were intended to go out for the PS4 as Sony had stated.
What! 48 hours? They said its starts today. So am i promise a code since i got this useless one. Or do i have to cross my fingers again?
Yay! I have totally gotten what I’ve had coming to me! It looks like buying a PS1, two PS2s, two PS3s, a PSP, a PSP Go, a Vita and two PS4s has paid off after all these years!!!!!! Thanks for the invite Sony! WWWOOOOO! I <3 Sony!
Hey guys when I try to redeem my code it tells me that the code is invalid? Whys this? and how do i solve it?
I registered for the PS4 beta, and received the invitation e-mail today, come to find out it’s for the PS3 beta and my PS3 is in a box, is there any word when I will get an invite code for the PS4 beta?

So I signed up for the ps4 beta and I got the code and everything but when I enter It into the redeem code bar it shows up but the download arrow is gray and won’t allow me download it, anyone else having this problem?
I have been doing the PS Now beta on my PS3 but have yet to get one for My PS4.
Was really looking forward to getting one today considering that today is my B-Day. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will still be getting one later today.

I redeemed my code and I have ps4 it says ready for download ps now beta but the download button won’t click. I think the ps update has to come out and then we can play psNOW!!!
You guys made my day when I got my invite today. I will enjoy beta testing on my PS3 as I wait for my PS4 code to arrive. One problem, though. I can’t access the forums. There are already a few things I could contribute, but access is denied. Oh well. It’ll probably sort itself out.
I just entered in the voucher code and was prompted to download the PS Now Beta, however, it won’t allow me to download it. The icon is greyed and when I scroll to it and hit X, nothing happens. Any idea why?

LISTEN UP. I waited 2 hours to get into a chat with a sony person. I told him that, along with hundreds of others, that we are having a problem where we recieved our codes but they are ps3 and dont work on our ps4s. even though we REQUESTED PS4 CODES. Heres what he told me: “Ps4 codes have not been released. sometime next week is when you can get it” and i repsonded by saying .. dude the website says may 20th. and hes like sorry i cant resolve this issue. and then i said ” sony said may 20th is when we get to play ps now on our ps4s why are you telling me next week” then he disconnected. terrible support sony.

sadly, this is not true. ps4 owners who recieved codes, only received ps3 codes.
