Watch the PlayStation E3 Press Conference in Movie Theaters Nationwide

Sid Shuman's Avatar Posted by Director, SIEA Social Media

Why watch the PlayStation E3 Press Conference on a puny browser window when you can see it on the silver screen? On June 9th, we’re inviting PlayStation fans in the US and Canada to experience the E3 press conference in a new way — live, on a massive screen in more than 40 movie theaters.

Join us and host Geoff Keighley for the PlayStation E3 Experience, featuring an HD simulcast of the PlayStation E3 Press Conference. Attendees will also see 30 minutes of extra content, including exclusive extended game footage and interviews with the world’s biggest game developers. And hey, if you show up, we might even cough up a few surprise gifts.

Best of all, it’s free. Space is limited, so make sure to register for the event soon here: http://eventgrid.com/Custom/playstatione3

If you don’t live near one of the fine cinemas listed below, never fear: You’ll be able to watch all the gaiety from your computer or smart phone right here on PlayStation.Blog (or PlayStation.com and Ustream.tv/playstation).

Read on for more details, including a full list of theaters where the event will take place.

The only way i woud watch it in a huge movie thearter is if they announce the games that are going to be released. Im looking forward to a new 3rd person shooter – like socom with vehicles – a new Motorstorm and Tekken vs Street Fighter!! if none of those get announced by the time E3 comes out..then NO THANK YOU..i will be staying tuned on my 15″ 1080p touchscreen SONY VAIO. :p

Hey Sid!

This is exciting! I was able to attend the Press Conference in LA last year, but this makes more sense this year!

On the waiting list for the SF one though… :/

That is way the heck into downtown Chicago. (I’m not from here and I hate going down there.) How about adding the Regal Cantera at 28250 Diehl Rd, Warrenville, IL, for us suburb folks?

Got a pair of tickets for me and my GF, I’ll be at the AMC in Washington,DC. Not sure if we’ll be guaranteed a seat, so I’ll show up really early to scout the area for campers.

Oh that’s great the LA event is sold out. thanks to my job I totally missed this. why I ask, WHY is there only one theater for LA? there are hundreds of thousands if not millions of Playstation fans in LA County and yet only one theater for all of it? are you kidding me? this would have been the closest I ever got to E3 ='(

It’s a big bummer that none of the 3 theaters in the Tri-Cities, WA (Pasco, Kennewick, Richland) are listed, as I would go in a heartbeat.

SolidPnk said:

May 28th, 4:49 pm

Ohh Whyy!
The tickets had to finish! =(
I shouldn’t had worked today lol
Maybe I might had a better chance getting a pair.
I wish some extra tickets become available or another theater joins the epic stream.

Wow, coming to the 757! Thanks for realizing that this nearly 2 million populous city is worth visiting. Please have more things in the 757 (Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Hampton, Chesapeake and Newport News). Can’t believe tickets are sold out already.

It’s a bit of a drive for me but I will definitely be there! Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us! Good thing I managed to register my boyfriend and I before the spots sold out.

A HUGE thank you to the team for including Montreal! We usually miss out on these kinds of things but now I get to share the excitement of E3 with fellow Playstation fans! Simply amazing.

I noticed when entering the sign-up process that it said only people aged 17 or older will be allowed to enter. Will a guardian’s presence or someone with a valid ID permit them to watch the conference, or do they have to watch it at their homes instead?

I understand that there’ll be M-rated games, but come on. The vast majority of people that want to watch this will be doing so at their homes, anyways.

This sounds awesome! Too bad I am stationed overseas in Germany. I think I would be a great treat for us gamers out here to have something like this! Is there any way you guys can get in contact with Ramstein Air Base to have a showing here as we;; because the base has a nice theater and I know it would be a great turn out for us over here!

Although I get why they would choose this over other Denver theaters, I still don’t like they chose a location in Downtown Denver. Think I’ll just stream at home.
