Happy Friday! We’re pushing a patch today (view full notes here) that addresses many of the matchmaking issues taking place in Factions mode for The Last of Us Remastered. You should see improved matchmaking all around. It will be rolling out over the next twenty-four hours globally. Look for the update when you turn on your system today.
With that patch, as promised, we’re giving away two, brand new multiplayer maps for FREE. The first map is the Beach, an excellent map for long-range experts. The second map is Financial Plaza, which is ideal for both sniping and close quarters combat. The maps will be free for both PS4 and PS3 players. Check out these maps in our latest trailer:
Once we’ve deployed the maps, upon signing into Factions multiplayer, the store will pop up and you’ll be asked to download them for free. Here are the screens you should see.
If you’re super excited and want to see how quickly you can get back to playing Factions, the Maps for PS4 are roughly 291 MB, and the patch is about 137 MB. For PS3, patch 1.09 will be approximately 170 MB and the same maps are about 143 MB.
Also newly available is our Scoped Weapons Bundle which can be purchased on PlayStation Store for $2.99 right now. The four new weapons in the bundle are sold individually for $0.99 if you’re more selective about your guns. All weapons are available for The Last of Us on BOTH PS3 and PS4.

region is written at the back of the disk at the bottom,its like a small picture of a black and white circle
and by proxy its like an app that changes the ip address of your internet
i think it just related to the ddos hacking that messed up psn
i mean sony accidentley with out any purpose banned some ip’s??
i dont know maybe its something else

I was really hyped about the new maps but every time i try to download them i’m told ‘this service is currently undergoing maintenance’ After 2 days i try to download the maps and again it fails and i’m told the same damn thing….i really enjoy playing factions and very ****ed off about this ****..im glad im not the only one experiencing this problem…please ND fix this!!!Plus i also cant find it on the store.

I bought my PS4 with the game THE LAST OF US REMASTERED from Germany and
I made a German account with the region I bought the game from.
The I installed the new patch and then I go to factions mp and they to download the new free map content I click OK I installed it then when I go back to factions mp its says again that I must download the map pack it keeps doing that and i already installed the map pack i am living in LEBANON PLEASE I NEED HELP I LOVE FACTIONS MP.
I still cant play this 1 week alredy omg…..i have THE FUNDS COULD NOT BE ADDED TO YOUR WALLET when tryin to download free maps….i bought TLOU from UK PS STORE …and i try on same account to get maps but cant …..im from serbia maybe thats the problem ??? whats proxy btw can u explain maybe i can fix with that x(

guys i cuddent play it at all but now i can…. i just restarted my internet connections 0-o…from lan to wifi and then back to lan but all the same…had error THE FUNDS COULT NOT BE ADDED TO YOUR WALLET….maybe they fixed it or u just need to restart things to get it workin…i go play now x0

Fixed mine. It said “This service is currently undergoing maintenance”. Updated my ps system and everything worked just fine after that. From playing both new maps.
guys! at 00:00 by Estonian time the download is available to download. i downloaded the 143 MB new stuff and now im available to play online again! i didnt fix or do anything it seems they just made it available for me now=) cya ingame!
after u download the patch i tried to play the mutiplayer but it tells me that i need to download the new maps first, but when i try to download the it tells me ( the service is undergoing maintance ) its been 3 days and it tells me the same thing, but guse what, now i cant download anything from my store after the last TLOU patch ?!!? if i try to download a demo i cant, by the way its my UK psn account, my main account is us account its working but the game is from uk so i have to download the maps from the uk psn and thanks to this ****ing game the account is broken, fix the game and the account, i cant even play the game now because i cant download the stupid free maps !?!?!?!? this is not funny at all

I love the new maps and weapons. Im a bit sad though… I really want the Samurai helmet but having to pay 29.99 in order to have it… Makes me really sad indeed. :'(
why no one From naughty Dogs/Sony is not replying to this issue (content can not be downloaded at this moment) ?

I bought this game last week on ps4. Updated and factions worked just fine then. After new update I can’t download the new maps. I moved to the UAE but have a US account. I don’t see what the problem is here. This needs to be fixed.

Frinds i solved my prb its easy if they wrote for yuo contant cannet be selcted at this time its from region should by cd it dipence on the account yuo should by region 2 if yuor region urobian

i thought they fixed that error my friend had that problem he just switched his connection to wifi then lan then restarted his router
then he downloaded the maps
try that if it works,well it worked
if not you either have to wait till sony or nd fix the problem or you have to use vpn

Problem has been fixed by Sony I think may be after the system update or whatever but
1- I had region-1 US PSN account and My game disc was region-2
2- so I made a region-2 account (with No PSN) and downloaded maps as I entered factions
(previously it used to say “funds can not be added to your wallet here but not now#fixed”)
3- and switched back to region-1 US PSN account an can play the game with factions
Now it works.
But Now I have another issue :)
I purchased weapons bundle from my region-1 PSN through PC and i cant seem to download them. They should be downloaded automatically but they don’t. Seems like my money was wasted. If I go to PSstore through my PS4 it shows I have already purchased those items but cant download it in anyway.
Can anyone help me with that ?
Hi there, mu girlfriend bought me the last of us when she was over in new york. The game plays fine but I’m haveing the same problems as you all.its not letting me download the maps. If anone can help it would be really appreciated.

I have the free maps downloaded but when I go to factions mp it says that I have to download some free content to connect. When I click ok it takes me to the store where it states that I have the content installed but it still won’t let me connect to factions. How do I fix this problem?
this was working fine until earlier today when it started prompting me with the message “to connect to factions you must download some free map content” even though it’s already installed. I’m not locked out of factions. :?
I have the same problem as the two people above me. I have already downloaded the map pack and then keeps on prompting me to do the same thing while its already installed. What is the problem and how can I play the damn game???

I have just purchased my ps4 and The Last Of Us Video game. I have a few questions, I’d greatly appreciate it if someone would help me out.
First of all I am addicted to this game LOL. My questions are, how do I play the multiplayer mode and use my microphone?
Also I purchased a few of the weapons on the playstation store, Am I only able to use them on the multiplayer mode?

My game is in Region 2 (EU)
I attempted to download Faction MP
Was directed to PSN Store , upon clicking the ‘Download’ button for Treacherous Territories Map Pack.
It says ‘we’re sorry this product cannot be purchase at this time’
**** U SONY.
I’ve tried emailing and tweeting naughty dog about the “this content cannot be selected at this time” issue and have been ignored both times. Very unimpressive.
Heads up that I created a new account based in the US and that worked. My region on the back of the box said “ALL” which I had no idea meant US or at least not UK.
