PlayStation TV: Nearly 700 Games to Play Starting October 14th

With PlayStation TV’s launch right around the corner on October 14, I’m pleased to confirm that nearly 700 games will be available in the U.S. and Canada to play on PS TV on Day One, including established, popular franchises like Killzone: Mercenary, cult hits like Persona 4 Golden, and classics like Twisted Metal. In addition, I’m pleased to announce that Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom from Little Orbit will also be available in November for PS TV (as well as PS Vita). Our library will continue to expand, with other fan favorites like Minecraft and more. We’re proud to bring such a broad array of content from multiple PlayStation platforms to PS TV, a small console at a great value.

PlayStation TV

On October 14, you can pick up a PS TV starting at $99.99 (MSRP) for the standalone system, or $139.99 (MSRP) for the bundle that includes a Wireless Controller (DUALSHOCK 3), 8GB memory card, and The LEGO Movie Videogame. For a limited time, you can find an exclusive PS TV bundle at Walmart, which comes with everything in the PS TV bundle plus Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, also for $139.99 (MSRP).

PS TV has a large and diverse lineup of games for players of all types, including:

  • Rayman Origins
  • Persona 4 Golden
  • God of War Collection
  • Killzone: Mercenary
  • FINAL FANTASY X / X-2 HD Remaster
  • Dragon’s Crown
  • Spelunky
  • FINAL FANTASY TACTICS: WAR OF THE LIONS
  • Patapon
  • Twisted Metal
  • Borderlands 2
  • Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom

PlayStation TV

PS TV plays select content from PlayStation systems past and present, including:

  • PlayStation Vita – PS TV plays select titles from PS Vita, which can either be downloaded to the device or inserted directly into the system using a PS Vita card.
  • PlayStation Classics – Download classic games from PS One and PlayStation Portable, like Wipeout and Twisted Metal.
  • PlayStation 3 – Our game streaming service PS Now is coming to PS TV, which will let you play many PS3 games on the device over the Internet*.
  • PlayStation 4 – If you’re a PS4 owner, use Remote Play to stream a remote play enabled PS4 game from your console to a PS TV over a wired internet connection. If the living room is tied up, just use Remote Play to send your PS4 game up to the bedroom and keep playing on PS TV.
  • *PS Now service may not be available in all areas. For details, see http://us.playstation.com/playstationnow

You can find more information on the games available for PS TV here: The list will continue to grow as our library expands, so stay tuned for more.

PlayStation TV may be a small platform, but it’s got a big PlayStation heart. We hope you get a chance to experience it when it launches in North America on October 14.

    • Don Mesa:

I have a japanese Vita TV, will i be able to login with my US account in a future?
      Any estimated date? :D

      Thanks in advance

    • Will imported Vita games (from Asia specifically) work on the Vita TV?

They work on all Vitas so rhere’s no reason they wouldn’t work on the NA Vita TV right?

    • Was planning on buying this for Uncharted: Golden Abyss , but it’s not in the list! C’mon Sony, why can’t we play UC:GA in the PSTV?

    • ” If you’re a PS4 owner, use Remote Play to stream a remote play enabled PS4 game from your console to a PS TV…” soooo you’re telling me not ALL games support Remote Play?? That sucks.

    • I just hope the PS TV gives the Vita a bit more exposure. I love the idea of the PS TV, but I just hope it doesn’t cast a shadow on the Vita. Hopefully this will prompt more developers to look at the Vita / PS TV as a more viable platform and in turn, brings more games!

    • Can you use the touchpad on the PS4 controller for touchpad input on PS vita games? I know there are some vita games that require touchpad input to work sometimes. Uncharted: Golden Abyss for example

    • Wait a heavy used touchscreen psvita game such as borderlands 2, will be compatible? But not soul sacrifice, soul sacrifice delta, ragnarok odyssey ace. Which arent touch heavy? You guys sure the list is correct

    • I’m going to buy PSTV, and I already own a Vita, but will I also be able to import a Vita from Japan and use the same PSN account? I heard you can only have two Vitas connected to a PSN account, but PSTV counts, doesn’t it?

    • I don’t see Gravity Rush…FAIL.

    • Will this work with my PS gold headsets? it has a USB port, but will the adapter be compatible?

    • Will video streaming apps (like Sony Unlimited) be able to output 5.1 audio?

    • questions I have is

is there any retailers your have preorder deals with ?

      is Skype still supported?

does this take one vita acct up or is it its own entity?

    • For PS4 remote play, I understand that a wired connection if required (or is optimal). But do both the PS4 and the PS TV have to physically be located in the same house? If I have a PS4 with a wired connection in one house, can I do remote play on a PS TV that has a wired connection in another location?

    • Can someone answer #11 already? I too have my account activated on a Vita, a PSP, and two PS3s. Am I already locked out?

    • Any word on when the Walmart bundle will be available for preorder? I need this in my life lol

    • Can i use my PS4 controller instead of the PS3, or is the DS4 only used for remote Play?

    • They seriously need to drop memory card prices or this will just die like the Vita…. Honestly 99 dollars becomes 200 dollars just because you want decent memory, come on. Any other memory card style and it’s maybe a 20 dollar purchase, but nooo…. Thinking about someone that doesn’t own a Vita or PS console, this thing costs almost 300 dollars…….

    • Will the base console come with any kind of remote controller or HDMI?

    • I pre-ordered about a month ago. Looking forward to getting it in a few weeks!

    • Will PSTV support multiple SEN accounts, or will the accounts be locked to the memory card like the Vita?

    • what if everyone doesn’t get a Playstation TV and just have a Vita and Metal Gear Solid is what I have been waiting for will that be available to download to the Vita without the Playstation TV? because I don’t want to buy a system to hook up to the tv just to download and play one game if that’s the case I might as well get The PS4

    • Will my imported Vita TV from Japan work with my US account ???

    • I’m with #102 boomstick.

I import games regularly, and although they’re linked to my US account, there’s little-to-no way in hell they’ll make it to this service if they’re adding support by titles. And actually, I can’t see the complication in it. Why not simply make it a Vita processor with screen output, like a console version of the Vita? It already uses the Vita’s mem card and game card.

I would love to play my Vita games on my TV at home, but when only half of my games would even be considered for support candidacy, I’m MUCH less excited for this. Maybe if we got full functionality…

    • had mine preordered since E3. day 1.

    • Will there be trophies?

    • I’m out!!! runs on Vita memory cards so I’m out not shelling out a 100 bill for a card for this or for vita. oh and I still have never played a Vita so were good.. :)

    • will i have to rent the games for a limited time? can i buy vita games and put them in the playstation tv?

    • definitely getting the lego one for the extra controller and 8gb memory

    • Can i use my ps4’s controller on it?

    • Hello guys!! I’m from Brazil and I would like to know if the Playstation TV will be launched in Brazil, my country.

    • If you guys could add support for other Playstation Collections, that would be great. If you consider control schemes, they should all work on PS TV. Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, and Sly Cooper would play well on on it. The Sly Collection would make a lot of sense since Thieves in Time is compatible.

    • I’m more interested in which apps will be available. I will use this as my streaming box so I don’t need to turn on my PS3 or PS4, even though I have a smart TV (UI is way too slow).

    • Hello, I had one question regarding current PSN accounts. I have purchased PSOne Classics like Resident Evil Directors Cut and Resident Evil 3 through my PS3. Will I be able to play those digital games on PSTV without having to purchase again? Will this also apply to titles that have been previously digitally purchased which become available for play on PSTV?

    • Will my US account finally work with my Japanese PS vita tv when this one launches?

    • Will I be able to use my DS4 to play the Vita games that are currently compatible with the Vita TV? Or will I require a DS3 for that?

    • I noticed Motorstorm Arctic Edge and Twisted Metal: Head On are on the list of compatible games for PSTV. Will those also become playable on the PS Vita?

    • @125 – What do you mean, “Will there be trophies?” This is just a Vita. Vita games have trophies. Trophies depend on the various services offered: PS4 remote play, PS Now, etc.

    • i’m sold but i wonder, how come the sly trilogy isn’t on the list of compatible games?
@John, can you confirm if the sly trilogy can be played on PSTV?
      thanks.

    • @135

sine 3.10, the update lets you use your ds4 for playing on pstv

    • Will the socom games come with multiplayer enabled?

    • Will PSTV only be able to use DS3 and DS4? Or will it support third party controllers?

I would really like to use my arcade stick on this device.

    • So we can’t use the Vita as a controller? No gravity rush?

    • Just take my money Sony. Seriously. I can’t wait to pick this up this fall. What are the chances we could see Uncharted Golden Abyss being played on the PSTV?

    • Can you download games from the playstation TV on to a psvita memory card

    • I wish that the Playstation TV let users switch accounts for digital games. I want to get a PS TV because I have roommates who would like to play my digital collection, but they want to be able to have their own trophies and save data. Unless this changes I doubt I’m buying this.

    • If you get a 64gb memory card and link it with you’re psn account will it work with playstation TV

    • Will it still work if you have more then one memory card linked to your psn acount

    • This will make Vita’s hardware sales in the US look like PS2 in its prime.

    • Big Socomer heree so question. I can get this PS TV console. I see all the PSP Socoms is withh this PS TV will I be ablee to download them and play them with PS4 controller?

Will there be onlinee play? Plz answer and thank you.

    • Can I log in withh my PSN account on PS TV? Also will it be multiplayer enabled for all the psp socom games on PS TV.
