PlayStation TV: Nearly 700 Games to Play Starting October 14th

With PlayStation TV’s launch right around the corner on October 14, I’m pleased to confirm that nearly 700 games will be available in the U.S. and Canada to play on PS TV on Day One, including established, popular franchises like Killzone: Mercenary, cult hits like Persona 4 Golden, and classics like Twisted Metal. In addition, I’m pleased to announce that Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom from Little Orbit will also be available in November for PS TV (as well as PS Vita). Our library will continue to expand, with other fan favorites like Minecraft and more. We’re proud to bring such a broad array of content from multiple PlayStation platforms to PS TV, a small console at a great value.

PlayStation TV

On October 14, you can pick up a PS TV starting at $99.99 (MSRP) for the standalone system, or $139.99 (MSRP) for the bundle that includes a Wireless Controller (DUALSHOCK 3), 8GB memory card, and The LEGO Movie Videogame. For a limited time, you can find an exclusive PS TV bundle at Walmart, which comes with everything in the PS TV bundle plus Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, also for $139.99 (MSRP).

PS TV has a large and diverse lineup of games for players of all types, including:

  • Rayman Origins
  • Persona 4 Golden
  • God of War Collection
  • Killzone: Mercenary

  • Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom

PlayStation TV

PS TV plays select content from PlayStation systems past and present, including:

  • PlayStation Vita – PS TV plays select titles from PS Vita, which can either be downloaded to the device or inserted directly into the system using a PS Vita card.
  • PlayStation Classics – Download classic games from PS One and PlayStation Portable, like Wipeout and Twisted Metal.
  • PlayStation 3 – Our game streaming service PS Now is coming to PS TV, which will let you play many PS3 games on the device over the Internet*.
  • PlayStation 4 – If you’re a PS4 owner, use Remote Play to stream a remote play enabled PS4 game from your console to a PS TV over a wired internet connection. If the living room is tied up, just use Remote Play to send your PS4 game up to the bedroom and keep playing on PS TV.
  • *PS Now service may not be available in all areas. For details, see http://us.playstation.com/playstationnow

You can find more information on the games available for PS TV here: The list will continue to grow as our library expands, so stay tuned for more.

PlayStation TV may be a small platform, but it’s got a big PlayStation heart. We hope you get a chance to experience it when it launches in North America on October 14.

    • So many people still own PS3’s. Will PSTV eventually support remote streaming of PS3 games without having to rent them?

    • Will this be locked to one user like a PS Vita is?

My husband and I each have our own PS4s and PS Vitas…but were hoping to share one Playstation TV for the purposes of remote play.

If it is locked to one account, Sony should figure out a way to issue a patch to fix it because its not a handheld and should NOT be locked to one PSN account

    • Any WWE Games? I already have them on my account? Thanks

    • Got a quick question, Will PS TV be able to play my downloaded PS3 games from my PSN Account at some point? I understand it does/will do PS3 games from the PS Now service. Essential can the PS TV act like a PS3 and play my downloaded PSN Games associated with my account?

    • So will I be able to keep my PS4 at home then bring my PSTV to my friends house and steam my games?

    • @everyone wanting to stream their PS3 games.
I don’t think it’s going to happen due to lack of Ram on the PS3. (unless you use mods)

PS TV is most likely just like the Vita and it’s locked to one account. To change it, you must go to the PSN account, disactivate all services, then reset the Vita anew. It takes around 5 minutes.

Sony, honestly, the OS of the Vita is really restrictive. It has 1Gb of internal memory, but you loose it when you insert a memory card, that’s dumb, even the PSP Go could handle both memory at the same time enhancing it’s capacity.
It’s a pain to switch accounts, it needs to support more accounts.
I have no problem with Sony Memory Cards, just it’s price.
And you should update all of your games to be playable without the touchscreen, like Destiny of Spirits

All things considered, it’s just best to keep your PS3 that is more powerful, but I will say this. For anyone who wants to experience the great Vita games for cheap, this is the console for you.

    • Please SONY ENGINEERING TEAMS, PLEASE PLEASE FIX OR REWRITE THE VITA WEB BROWSER. Otherwise love my Vita experience! Already placed order for PS TV! Brilliant move Sony. Bravo. I intend to play through many rpgs (including PS1) on the bigscreen with the Dualshock 4! Portable is good for a quick fix, but you need a dualshock and a tv for serious extended gaming sessions.

    • Will the ds4 be compatible with vita games that use the touch screen?

THATS THE MAIN REASON I BOUGHT ONE not the bundle

    • Also i have a question wil this work with the playstation camera to you know “take pictures”?

    • Meh…

    • can you use the playstation media remote on the playstation tv?

    • A big question for me is multiplayer. The Japanese commercial showed people playing Tekken 2 multiplayer on the pstv, so it’s to be assumed that’s possible, but what about Vita games. If I own Guilty Gear on Vita, any way it’s possible to play a friend with just my pstv? If yes, this system will be much more attractive

    • can I use my ps vita as a controller for ps tv?

    • I have a weird question. What is hte USB port used for. Is it for expanded space aka external hard drive.

If so, will we be able to download games from PSN network to hard drive and play them from it.

Im just curious as to what it would be there for

    • How do you play the games on this? Do you need a console or just a controller? I mean, the PS3 games are downloaded on some sort of memory and you play them directly or you need a phisical console with the game on it and this device just streams the games? I don’t get it. I would love to play PS3 games like GoW: Ascension and Little Big Planet 1-2…but does it have like a PSN on it?

    • Too much comments to filter through for a solid answer, don’t think I’ll get a valid response from staff since it appears that any response from Sony ended on page 3 without answering the question that came up a few times but hey, I’ll take a shot. I bought the AC: Liberation PS Vita bundle for the white Vita, same with the glacier white Destiny PS4 bundle for the white PS4. Will the import version of PS TV work, or is compatible in US or will eventually be compatible with updated firmware? I really prefer the white version and would definitely import it if that was the case. Is Sony planning on releasing a white version? That I definitely know depends on hardware sales. I definitely am picking this up but was hoping for a white version, preference wise of course.

    • Add Uncharted and Ys: Memories of Celceta to the working games list! That would be awesome.

    • Is there a list somewhere of what “select few” PS3 games are eligible for remote play with the PSTV?

    • Is it possible to play PlayStation classics or any content that I have already purchased on my PSN account?

    • Can I use a 3rd party controller that is not wireless? Thanks!

    • Can a playstation tv use a external hard drive

    • Can use a generic PS3 controller on the playstation tv

    • This is some pretty awesome news. after i got off work tonight i went out and bought a copy of persona 4 golden as well as conception II since they were compatible. any news on if a later update to Dualshock 4 controllers working with PS Vita games? I only ask because with the touchpad on the DS4, that would make playing these games much easier AND make it possible to get more compatible vita games available on the Vita TV. Very excited for this device and looking forward to it.

    • can it play playstation 2 games? if not then its a piece of literal junk, since ps2 games were some of the best out their.

    • THEY NEED TO PATCH UNCHARTED GOLDEN ABYSS FOR PLAYSTATION TV TO SELL !!!!!!

    • If your ps4 is at home connect to the internet and you’re at your friends house with your PS TV connected to the Internet will you still be able to remote play?

    • Will I be able to use the remote play feature from another room for ps4 titles or other features if my roommate is playing something else or the same game on the ps4?

    • Hi, I just brought mine 2 days ago and It is the R3 ver. updated to the latest 3.30 fw

Can I play R1 Games on the list provided Above?

    • Is the remote play limited to the same network? I have a PS4 but visit my family a lot. Bringing my whole system can be a huge hassle. I would LOVE to be able to just haul around my PSTV and a controller and be able to stream my games over 2 more than capable networks.

    • can you have more than on account on the PS TV?

    • Is this “streaming” at a high cost?

    • So can I use playstation TV if all I have is a PS4 to play PS3 games?
      Thanks.

    • Will I be able to play on my PS4 in one room and it stream on another tv with a 2nd player?

    • Can you play the Playstation tv without having the ps4 and ps3

    • I hope the PSTV gets better it can’t play ANY of my Vita Games at the moment.
Sword Art Online and Ys Memories of CELCETA.

    • Can you take the tv out of town and be able to remote play disk game that is in the ps4. Cuz my wife hates me taking the ps4

    • I’d like to stream my ps3 games just like the ps4 using the ps tv, instead of using the terrible ps now service( which at its current state, will never use)
