Hey PS Plus fans — we wanted to give you a sneak peek at our December and January PS4 free games lineup for Plus.
Before we reveal our PS4 lineup, we understand many of you are waiting for DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition to be added to the Instant Game Collection, and we apologize that the game is not yet ready to launch. We want you to know that we’re committed to providing DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition to members when it’s ready, and the Evolution team is working hard to make it a reality. In the meantime, we want to make sure you still have some amazing free games to play throughout the holidays, so check out the great lineup we have in store for you guys!
In December, we’re excited to add Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition and Secret Ponchos to PS4’s IGC lineup. As one of the biggest fighting games, Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition is the first AAA Blu-ray title to join the Instant Game Collection for PS4, and we think you’ll really enjoy playing it since DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition is not available yet. For January’s PS4 lineup, we’re adding the hit games inFAMOUS First Light and The Swapper for PS4.

Glad I own the Vita version of Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition and not the PS4 one (I have no reason to begin with since I don’t own one yet). Guess I’ll be playing it for the 3rd time whenever I get my PS4 (Don’t know when that will be).

One little complaint, if I may:
When releasing any game at all, please make it all the way cross-buy, I mean, I love PS PLUS, but I’m pretty disappointed with Frozen Synapse Prime being PS3-Only when there’s a PS VITA version out there as well, Though I own a PS3, and love it, It’s a really good game on mobile platforms, giving away ONLY the PS3 version simply discourages me from buying the Vita version, while leaving a bit of a bad aftertaste….
P.S. Persona 4 Golden Sure looks like it’d make a lot of Vita owners VERY PLEASED(and make people stop complaining a little)… XD
While I’m excited for lots of players to get these games for free. I am kind of sad that I already own them :(
But overall, a great offering to start the year. PS+ players are going to enjoy these titles very much!!!
Why don’t you just release an offline version of Driveclub PS Plus Edition? A month later, extremely shady.

But seriously…
It’s nice to finally see some AAA love for the system. But it may not continue.
My advice for anyone who has Plus only/primarily for the “free” games *and* whose subscription is running out would be to consider a 1- or 3-month subscription if you want these games. Plenty of time to play the ones you want, and if this is indeed all a cheap ploy you’ll be out a lot less money. Then if they do keep having AAA games in the lineup (and don’t go back to all indies all the time as many suspect they will), you can reconsider buying a full year of Plus.
Personally, I do just fine with the added Plus discounts. But that’s just me.

Will Injustice be a crossover, available for PS3 also, or just PS4?
ive been a member since sept. The free games are hit or miss for me but im sure its hard to please everyone. My favorite so far has been steamworld dig. It is a quailty game and addicting. I look forward to these new games coming out in the next few months.
inFAMOUS First Light
I was thinking of getting a PS4 this Holiday and Injustice was going to be one of the first buy for me, but with this announcement I am definitely buying the console.
Nice to see some good AAA games coming to ps4 this new year.
Hope to see the same thing for the vita.
Will I have to have Infamous: Second Son to get First Light? I plan on getting Second Son (I love Infamous) when I get a PS4 but I don’t know if I’ll have one by January.
Injustice:God among us is cross-buy?
Great now make joining friends on ps4 as easy as it was on ps3. The new system is a huge step backwards and makes having psn friends kind of pointless.
You are joking right? Japan is getting Killzone Shadowfall, it’s been a year since the PS4 came out, you think we would have gotten one of the AAA launch titles, like Shadowfall or Knack. We need a good RPG for the PS4 and Vita. Plus I own the December games already. So I hope this list is far from final for both December
then they wonder why microsoft still wins in the states. there’s a prime example. they take care of their own. japan gets shadowfall and we get the same s#!t, different month.

What exactly are you talking about? I don’t understand, at all. I have been a PS Plus member from the beginning of the Plus program (which has been around since 2010, LONG before PS4 release), simply because they DO give you great games monthly, they always have, and I have NEVER complained about it, it seems extremely fair considering the benefits/cost ratio. I guess for those who only purchased it to get Drive Club for free (probably not many, I am sure), then yeah, they may be a little disappointed (IF that is what you are talking about), but they didn’t have to purchase PS Plus from day one of the PS4 release, the PS4 came with (30 days?) free PS+, plus ten dollars credit, and an audio service that needs a MAJOR overhaul, interface, and library expansion. If they ONLY wanted Drive Club, common sense dictates that they should wait until its released rather than purchasing under the guise of ignorance. I have gotten well beyond my monies worth, as my PS3’s and Vita Memory Cards are FULL of games I got free from PS Plus.

Amazing games, thank you! I won’t be missing Driveclub at least. A lot of people have been asking for full retail games to come to IGC on PS4 but I knew that was a lot to ask in the first year. I thought I read somewhere that the first one would be before the end of 2014 and you came through!
Injustice sux, offerings not worth a flip yet, need ps2.ps1 ability on ps4, need ps3 plus library capable on ps4, rent games ha joke never happen not worth it. ps4 players are disappointed, cant save music. videos to ps4 hdd like the ps3, address these issues sony and have the best system on the market better then it is now.

I’m excited! I’ve wanted to try Injustice Gods Among Us. I don’t usually buy fight games but I’m excited to try this out. I’m also excited to try out inFamous. Next month’s First Light will be my first foray into that series, heard a lot about the series.
I hope you keep getting good indies too. I’ve always wanted to try Journey and Flower.
