The Drop

Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.

Slip through daylight and shadows both in the latest chapters of the groundbreaking Assassin’s Creed series, which bring action and intrigue to PlayStation this week.

Shape history in Paris. Assassin’s Creed Unity launches on PS4 with a jaw-dropping world and cooperative multiplayer. Guide the newly minted assassin Arno through the bloody days of The French Revolution and use new weapons like the Phantom Blade to uncover the dangerous truths driving the revolution forward.

Or witness the Assassin’s Creed universe from a new perspective in Assassin’s Creed Rogue. Take up the mantle of an Assassin-turned-Templar and sail your ship, The Morrigan, through icy seas to exact vengeance.

And that’s just the start of a big week for new games. Read on for the full list, and as always, enjoy the Drop!

Is Terraria for PS4 free for those with the PS3 or Vita versions or is it separate?

Circuitburnout said:

November 9th, 9:06 am

Can’t wait to dive into Terraria again on the PS4! Is it Crossbuy with the PS3/Vita versions? I can’t remember if I had to buy Terraria on my Vita or if I got it for free as I owned the PS3 version.

Hey Ryan, Beyond!

Is there any word on Terraria being cross-buy or maybe discounted for customers who bought one or both or the other verisons? Even if no, I’ll probably wind up buying it. Thanks and Beyond!!

zingakun said:

November 9th, 9:17 am

Since Assassin’s Creed Unity is nearly 40 gigs, I was expecting a preload feature. Was I wrong about that?

roxas2719 said:

November 9th, 9:19 am

Ryan!
Hey man, I was also wondering if we’d be able to get the Terraria Ps4 edition if we already have the Ps3 version?

xaos said:

Hey Ryan! Do you know what happened to the NA PS4 version of Onigiri? Last I heard they said it would come out during summer. The official Playstation site even says that it has been already released:
http://www.playstation.com/en-us/games/onigiri-ps4/

Rezolution77 said:

November 9th, 9:32 am

Is it due to possible changes that you completely ignore the one title (other than lego batman 3), that deserves to be mentioned as being released this week.
Tales of Hearts.

I will be holding off anyway due to lack of English dialogue, but should have been advertised.

Hope you guys have some really good sales lined up for preholiday.

Thanks for the Lego Sales. Kids are Happy, and, I am not constantly picking the blasted things off the floor anymore.

Ryumoau said:

November 9th, 9:33 am

I have no interest in Assasin’s Creed, but i’m planning to rent Digimon from Gamefly and get Tales of Hearts R.

Though i have to admit that i’m really disappointed by how lazy Namco is with not providing Tales of Hearts an english dub option, like all the other Tales games. Luckily, the game is only $40.

Rezolution77 said:

November 9th, 9:38 am

And no worries Ryan, it’s not needed EVERY week.

Have a great weekend suffices, alfhough, it is Sunday.

Maybe, Have a Great Week?

AmericanNinja1 said:

November 9th, 9:40 am

How much is Terraria?

Rezolution77 said:

November 9th, 9:40 am

@26 Only $40 bucks ????
……..for a PS2 game at best.

Rezolution77 said:

November 9th, 9:43 am

And yet no English.
SAO was and will be my only exception to buying without English at full price, but was a HUGE fan.

djsaiyan said:

November 9th, 9:53 am

Why do you people automatically assume no English dub equals lazy?

Dubbing costs money. Voice actors don’t work for free. For a niche game on a niche system, the cost of dubbing was the difference between us getting the game and NEVER GETTING IT. Go look up a list of characters for this game. Then look up what scale for a voice actor is. Then look up (if you can find it), what the more “name” voice actors, like Troy Baker or Nolan North get paid. Hint: it’s a heckuva lot more than scale.

Voice acting is ridiculously expensive. In this case, it’s prohibitively expensive. You should be THANKING Namco for even trying to bring it over subtitled in the first place. Not complaining like petulant children.

Grow up, take five seconds, and learn how the world REALLY works. Welcome to capitalism kids, s*** costs money. A lot of it.

In other news, AC: Unity, AC: Rogue. Retro City Rampage DX, and of course, Tales of Hearts R for me this week.

Beyond!

I’m picking up Tales of Heart R from Gamestop Tuesday! Really excited for it. I need to play Freedom Wars more before it drops.
I might pick up AC Unity. It looks great! I’m just worried about co-op and harder battles. I’m not the most stealthy player when it comes to this series.

FifthDream said:

November 9th, 10:01 am

Nano Assault NEO-X and Senran Kagura: Bon Appetit! will be mine! Mine, i tell you! Muahahahahahaha!

Ahem.

Doc_Tury said:

November 9th, 10:06 am

Beyond Ryan!!! AC: Rogue for me! Still no PS4, wating for the Holliday season to get one!

Hitokiri_03 said:

November 9th, 10:10 am

@26

Is this or no game at all, be grateful that Namco is bringing this game to the west, and support it if want them to continue.

Unlike Sega that doesn’t bring Yakuza game to the west anymore.

supremestarhawk said:

November 9th, 10:18 am

Anyone know if Lego Batman 3 will allow co-op trophies?

Ryumoau said:

November 9th, 10:24 am

@31

What are you even babbling about? :/

SeanStrange said:

November 9th, 10:26 am

Have Unity pre-ordered. Can’t wait to play on Tuesday!

WindTheWaker said:

November 9th, 10:40 am

Any chance that Terraria is cross buy with Vita?

djsaiyan said:

November 9th, 10:49 am

@37

Read some of the comments.

Then go back and read other articles pertaining to Tales of Hearts R, Freedom Wars, and other Vita games that didn’t get English dubs.

AizawaYuuichi said:

November 9th, 10:55 am

I’ll be picking up AC:Unity, AC:Rogue, Lego Batman 3 and the sadly left off this list… Tales of Hearts R. Also, just saw the trailer for Nano Assault Neo-X and will probably grab that as well.
Let the holiday (game) binging begin!

TeamGreen615 said:

November 9th, 10:55 am

Tales of Hearts R for me. It’s a shame that RC left it off the list. We need all the advertising the Vita can get. :(

rabidninjamonky said:

November 9th, 10:56 am

@31 What do you mean “you people”? :P

I would preorder Tales of Hearts R, but I hate Gamestop. It really sucks that it’s exclusive, hopefully the exclusivity is only for preorders and I can buy it from Amazon in a week or so.

Next week is the real deal (Dragon Age, GTAV, LBP3)

You people as in those who have been continually complaining about the lack of English dub. I thought that was pretty obvious.
