We’re excited that PS Experience is just around the corner, and in leading up to the show… we have an interesting poll for PlayStation Network users and fans of SNK / NEOGEO to participate in here on the official PS.Blog.
Together with SCEA 3rd Party Productions, and in commemoration of next year’s 25th Anniversary of the AES & MVS, SNK PLAYMORE is very happy to bring back some of our best NEOGEO content to current-gen hardware / PSN – starting with METAL SLUG 3 on PS4 and PS Vita (compatible with PlayStation TV) platforms, as well as PS3.
Being that we’re curious as to what the fanbase is looking for, please vote for which title(s) you would love to see on PSN in the near future! Make sure to spread the word that we’re asking for feedback from the fans via this poll, and listening to what you guys have to say.

Just please do a decent job of scaling.
Pac-Man Museum was a total disappointment with its awful, non-configurable scaling and filtering options :( It would be really nice if these emulators included HQ3x and 2xSAI filters like all the open source emulators do. The blurry bilinear filtering in most of the emulators on PS3/4 is just ugly and blurry.
I’ve skipped the Namco PS1 titles on Vita because I’d rather see a clean 2x scaling up to the Vita native resolution instead of a bad and uneven scaling to PS1 res, then an uneven scaling from PS1 to Vita. Nevermind the limited color range on the PS1.

TWINKLE STAR SPRITES, definitely. I spent many days in college playing TSS until 4 am.
The other games are true classics, to be sure. But there are many other fighting games, and very few versus shmups like the truly innovating Twinkle Star Sprites.
A game i wish they could bring back is “ZOMBIES REVENGE.”

And, if it’s not too much trouble, please consider having the options to change between languages and soundtracks too, as well as a practice mode, like the PS2 collections had.

As a write-in, Windjammers has an impressive showing here. I suspect, if it had been listed as an official option, that it would have dominated these replies. Personally, I would pay top dollar for a quality port of Windjammers.
you wanna know what i want? i want one.. ONE single compilation of ALL metal slug games… similar to wht the psp and ps2 had.. but allow a filter thing that we can turn off and on between the classic graphics and new better ones with applied said filters…
thats what i want… put it at roughly 15 bucks… 14.99 and it would sell well.. otherwise i dont want to replay different metal slug games every now and then as they get ported to various systems.
And whats with the newest king of fighters game or whatever coming to mobile? reall? it didnt cross anyones mind to make it or make one for vita and 3ds.. i think KoF would find a decent home among handheld systems as a fighting genre in general.. do the same for previous installments and make a collection, id buy that as well on the vita.
Then make a new one KoF 2k15 or something for both major handhelds

Adam, thanks for porting this SNK’s classic to the Vita, but I really need to ask you this..
Why is it that when SNK decides to bring something new to the table -like Metal Slug Revolution- you guys decide to release it only on android and ios?
I mean, I get that you’re targeting the platforms where the most audiences are, but why turn your back on the Vita all of a sudden?
It’s okay if you don’t want to release it in the US, but the Vita is a very popular device in Japan, does that not mean anything to SNK? Show us some Vita love with the SNK classics and SNK’s newest games lineup on 2015 and we’ll give it back to you.
I dont get why people are picking GAROU: MARK OF THE WOLVES. game exist already someone downloadable. Games like last blade 2 and SHOCK TROOPERS: 2nd SQUAD dont. Thats where my vote went to.

Windjammers and Metal slug X. I dont know any of the rest but hey Sony, if we want em, why not give em to us. See what you ccan do about the CRASH and SPYRO series into ps4, especially for playstations 20th anniversary it would be nice to play those since all of us played them in the early Playstation days.
Of the titles listed, I’m all in for Garou. Hell yeah.
But can we please trouble someone to also bring over King of Fighters 2002 UM to PSN at long last? It’s been sitting stagnant on XBLA for so many years and I feel it’s time the PS faithful get another chance to experience the pentultimate KoF experience.

It’s great to see that Metal Slug 3 is coming to PS4 and PS Vita. Out of all 7 titles, it’s the best one of the whole franchise. Loved the ending of that game. I know I can just play the Metal Slug Anthology, but it has missing content and long loading times.
And to that list, I have to choose Garou: Mark of the Wolves. I always wanted to play the original source game ever since I played the characters on M.U.G.E.N and that they never released the PS2 version here.
I need all this game!! :D

And, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, add the arranged music from the NEO GEO CD versions. Even to the existing NEO GEO games on PSN. Even if it’s a paid DLC. I’d gladly pay for it! I had a NEO GEO CD and the music was incredible. Would you do that for us, long time NEO GEO fans?
