As you probably know, PlayStation Network and some other gaming services were attacked over the holidays with artificially high levels of traffic designed to disrupt connectivity and online gameplay. PSN engineers are working hard to restore full network access and online gameplay as quickly as possible.
From time to time there may be disruptions in service due to surges in traffic, but our engineers will be working to restore service as quickly as possible.

Wow, this is messed up. I decided to let my PS Premium membership run out, only to receive a mail today that Sony just COMPLETELY robbed the money tied to my PSN account in order to prolong my Premium membership. Without even asking. FOR A BLOODY YEAR!
And I still can’t access PSN. There is this huuuge advice, just on the right side of this page… “…but don’t be a jerk.” I think this is what Sony just did.
3 days without PSN is atrocious. XBLA was up much faster. Sony is supposed to be “focused” on PlayStation then what’s going on?
Also where is Friends sign-on notification? DLNA? Resume game state? A/V USB Mass Storage playback? Change PSN name?
Ir some of you are still having a problem go to settings psn and try to activate as primary playstation 4 if that doesnt work go online on a computer and deactivate your playstation 4 from your list of devices then wait a little then try to activate your playstation 4 as your primary playstation 4 from the settings on the playstation 4 this worked for me
Wow. This is STILL an issue? I’ve been playing online since Sunday (going on 3 days) via the MTU method (which has been widely posted on practically every single page). Which aside from a minor interface bug (the scrolling marquee above the clock being completely gone), works seemingly fine.
But you’d think that by now (3 days later) Sony would have figured this out so people wouldn’t have to resort to said method any longer. Looks like I wont be changing my MTU back to 1500 any time soon, then. I’d rather NOT go back to server sign in errors and not having PSN connect. That was torture. Not having a news marquee in place of being able to actually play online seems like a fair trade to me lol.
Seriously everyone, use the MTU method until Sony announces an official fix. You’ve got nothing to lose by doing it other than the news marquee by the clock. And completely functional online gaming to gain. You lose a minor feature you likely ignore anyway, and you gain the ability to play online…yeah. Stop ignoring the MTU posts. Follow them. They are your Jesus until Sony fixes this entirely with an official statement/update.
Why can’t I go On playstation home.. I couldn’t get on yesterday too and today. Fix it
i bought my ps4 the friday after christmas and it came with the dlc version of nba 2k15. after playstation network came back online i downloaded my game and the latest update for it. Now when i go into the game it says go back to main scrren and install the update to get rid of this messsage. the only problem is when i go to do that the latest version of the update has already been installed. i can only play the starting game between San Antonio and Miami then when i complete that game hit quit game it takes me back to the main scrren where it asks you to hit X to start the game and starts the San Antonio and miami game all over. Just wondering if there is something i can do to fix this BECAUSE i would really like to play my new console.
Mine is coming and going i got the ps4 for xmas and little big planet and cant even play on line this is not on l know u were hacked but i think you have to do something for your playstation plus customers.i have to go and play the not so good wii u i would rather play ps4 or my ps3 please fix as quickly as possible .

OMG!! i finally found my 4 games 1 pick voucher and when i put the code on the computer… it worked! when i put the code it gave me on my ps4 to download 2k14… it worked! and once i downloaded it to my ps4 and clicked on the game to play, it said i have to download it from the ps store. i went to the ps store and it told me i couldnt download it cuz i already had it!!! what the heck!!! do you know how long ive been dying to get 2k15? and now it wont work!! come on
im just gonna try logging of and back on and see if it makes me any madder.

Can you guys make a way to change your name, and i understand its not there because of people who grief, but just make it so you have to pay about 10 to 20 dollars to change it, no one wants to spend money to change there name, but if the answers still no can you tell me? Hey Playstation, i find that your network being down is bad considering that it is mostly a paid service now(i pay for playstation plus) and i know you are working hard to fix the problem. Mine PS4 can now connect to PSN, however it disconnects about every 10 minutes, the internet connection is fine, and as soon as it disconnects i close the game, test internet connect, it connects fine, i reopen the game and i can continue playing, however constantly doing this process whilst trying to play battlefield 4 is very irritating, if you could please inform me on how to fix this issue i would much appreciate it. So basically the problem seems to be that there seems to be some trouble with it maintaining the connection to PSN however the initial connection works fine. Hope you can get back to me soon.

I have ps3 and for some reason when I try to sign in, it won’t let me. I did the network settings and still didn’t work. Is it because ou guys(Sony) are trying to get ps3 users online?

Still can’t get on this is crap. have played for 5 year’s call you guys and wait on the damn phone for 52mins the first time to get told call ISP. hmm did so says nothing is wrong so call you guys again lol 74mins this time to get told there is system’s flooding the psn and to try to log in at a later time.I own a ps4 and ps3 and am not getting what I paid for both have current update and still no log in what good is your 10%on cart when you still have the people who have played ps3 or ps4 and still can’t get on psn network. I left my family on Thanksgiving to wait in line for 12 hours to get the GTA 5 PS4 Bundle, open it Christmas morning it is broken it don’t even come on, wait on hold 6 hours to sony support line for him to tell me to return it to the store where I purchased it. I return it to Walmart they keep the all my games and free stuff and give me just a PS4 and remote. So I waited for 12 hours for nothing left my family on Thanksgiving to have the worst Christmas morning ever and now I have to buy GTA 5 and extra controller. They talking about how they have a bad batch of PS4 couldn’t you have let us know this before you ruin our holidays now I need a couple of hundred more dollars to buy back my free stuff I had.

Bought the ps4 on Dec 23. Turned out it was a brick on Christmas so we took it back with all games and traded it for a Wii U. Kids love it. It has one amazing feature that the ps4 didn’t have….it works!
I sure hope Playstation is going to give us something good in return for this me and my son’s Christmas sucked do to the lizard squad hope you guys make it to were it can’t happen again :(

I’m trying to purchase PS Plus, but i get an error stating to use a valid credit card. Which I have! I’ve read your website’s page concerning these type of issues, and yes I waited 24hrs to update. Still the same error. ALSO, I called the support number and waited 55mins on hold…hung up, then called back to have a damn recorded messages saying, “Sorry we are having technical difficulties, please call back at a another time”. REALLY??!!..WTF, PS!…I even went on twitter and asked…nope no reply from twitter acct. Also, when I put in the PS Plus free trail, it says 14-day trail. So, why did I get a message stating that my trail expires in two days, after 3 days? What a rip off!!! XBOX is looking good about now..maybe i’ll trade in my ps4 for a xbox 1. I know Microsoft will help, especially when money is involved. PS Support, will I receive any help? Or just be ignored just like some of the comments on here?

After being on hold for 40 minutes finally getting through to a technician been told it’s not the PlayStation’s fault it’s my routers fault from Comcast. Comcast says it’s Sony’s fault ready to return PS four for poor quality of service. Now I get through and I can’ hear the tec. So I think he hung up nice way of not having to answer the problem . Great put on hold until 2200 hrs. No wonder he disconnect . Taking my ps4 back to the store in the morning.

I hope we see better organisation, im so tired of this cluttered content bar crap… This is PS4 not XB why does the CBar look so much like a dashboard?
What i want to see or rather not see is all my games all over the place… This is an OCD nightmare!
Why not just move Library after Whats New, then with in library have Games at the top of the list, with in the Games list allow us to filter by Genre/A-Z/Z-A/Recent/Most Played. As well we should be able to shift from Installed to Uninstalled pages. Then under Games have Apps, then All. Then make it so if we push square it shows the dtails/info screen of the game while pushing X will instead play it immediately. After Library should come TV&Video which should have most used on the top row rather then bloatware, for exampla move the stuff we dont use to the bottom for me that would be Amazon the sports apps and hulu netfix etc. I mainly use Youtube & Crackle… In fact i dont think it should show us the apps we dond have installed, thats what PS Store and Library are for. After TV&Video should be Capture Galler which should also contain Share Factory. Then Browser, then Music & Video Unlimited should have their own spot, then USB Media should be last. As well when popping in a disc that spot should pop up right next to whats new.
