What’s going on here now u have to have a plus account that u pay for to play online on the ps4 the network goes down for 3-4 days. what is sony doing to compensate those plus members for the down time nothing so far. I love playstation but I’ve had nothing but trouble & odd behavior from the ps4 & I’ve had it since it’s release. I hope they do something for those who pay I’d hate to see people go over to Xbox or worse yet just stop gaming because of the frustration………. There’s no excuse playstation you can do better

That makes no sense in context to what you’re talking about.
People pay for PS Plus. That includes IGC, weekly sales, and online play if you have a PS4. These are the things Sony promises people when they pay $50 for a yearly subscription. People are within their rights to complain about a service that they pay for if it doesn’t meet their standards.
That being said, people who want compensation for the 3 days of PSN being down are acting silly. People who complain about specific games being on IGC being unworthy are being silly.
People who are complaining about no new sale this week are absolutely not acting silly. It’s part of what they’re paying for.
@Mokajige People pay for PS plus, yes. However, sales on the Playstation store (in general) are not exclusive to plus members. So technically people aren’t paying for the sales, they’re paying for larger discounts on items already on sale. On top of that, I don’t ever remember Playstation promising to have new sales every week (for plus members or non-plus members). Yet, like I mentioned earlier, they’ve actually been pretty good about doing so.
I’m not impressed Sony.
your product is great but extending a sale is poor compensation for your network being down the day the kids opened their brand new PS4.
its like getting a toy without a battery. the kids were bummed out and I was stressing online trying to figure out whether or not I wasted hundreds of dollars. just the thought of folding to my kids will and having to trade it in for the xboxone made me wretch.
we paid for a product that didn’t deliver as expected. granted you eventually fixed the issue but you also let a lot of customers down. I was almost one of the people who returned their console and I’m still grateful that i didn’t jump ship. I understand the situation was caused by some scaly jerks you have no affiliation with but you still failed to fulfill your obligation to your customers.
I sincerely hope this does not happen again in the future and that you take your customers disposition into greater consideration if it does. Don’t blemish your good name because the cost of that is much greater than making amends with existing relationships.

How they handled it was.
They waited 2 days to acknowledge there was a problem.
They then posted the network was back up which clearly wasn’t true only about 50% to 60% was up.
There customer support was awful.
they also forced you to have facebook or twitter to get your information on network status.
I own playstation products i want my information from the playstation blog.
They should have been giving hourly updates.
And how about a public apology from someone from sony corporate office like andrew card

why even have a comment section if your only going to respond to the first few comments and only if they are positive.
my 2 cents worth i don’t expect compensation but an apology would be nice and an acknowledgment that they could have handled things better.I don’t mind mistakes as long as you acknowledge them.

They said it would be the last store update of the year so, I guess we will have to wait until the 6th for the next one. It would be nice to see a PS plus January preview though.

Thanks for extending the sale. I bit last minute on PS4 versions of TWD and TWD2. I already have the first on my Vita… but for $6, I just can’t pass it up.
My New Years resolution for 2015… no buying unfinished games! This doesn’t mean games that constantly evolve but games that just plain released broken and unfinished because publishers push them out. That means no pre-ordering of The Order either which I know I want but I am tired of giving publishers money for unfinished products.

@GoPens35 From what I’ve read, it seems like it was always Sony’s intent to extend the Week 4 Holiday Sale an extra week. The DDoS attack simply gave them a “reason” to do so that they thought made them look like the good guy. Personally, I’m not a fan of that move. That being said, the DDoS attack was unavoidable. Simply put, Lizard Squad (LS) wanted to disrupt the PSN, along with other services provided by other companies, and overflowed the servers. More servers simply means LS would have used more nodes/bots to flood those extra servers as well. In regards to the sales, sure it sucks not having sales this week. However, they did state on their Facebook page that the Dec 23rd PS Store update was the last of 2014. They could have handled it better by placing that information in more than one location. I, for one, follow their Twitter and check the PS Blog often. That message, to my knowledge, was never displayed in either of those locations.
@Sony, get your stuff together, and post all relevant information on ALL of your social media outlets. We shouldn’t have to follow you on every single one under the sun just to keep up with what you are or aren’t doing.

I just had Walking Dead Season 2 in my cart, and when i went to check out, it was GONE! PS took it off the sale earlier than advertised, and now i have no way to get it for $6.25. That doesnt seem fair, and was especially uncool coming on the heels of the “Xmas Blackout”. PLEASE RESPOND PS
@i_poopd Did you try to make the purchase before 12pm pt? You could try contacting customer support via telephone. I’ve heard stories that they’ve been able to help people out with games that have gone on sale within a couple of days of people buying at full price. Perhaps they could set it up so you could get TWD at the Flash Sale price. Either way, can’t hurt to try.
I wish The Last of Us and DRIVECLUB were on the last.
Psn can u help me i had fifa 15 in my cart for the flash sale and then when I was going to check it out it went to 59.99 when I had it in my cart for 35.99 I was still able to get my battle field but not my fifa :/
I personally don’t feel this is enough. I believe at the very least PlayStation can issue PS+ account holders with a week free at least. I got my ps4 a few days before Xmas so I’m currently using my 14 day free trial and feel I have lost a few days. althou I will be purchasing 12 months it’s not the point.
I am not moaning as you had staff spending there xmas time devoted to fixing the servers I just feel we are all been fobbed off with an extended sale – therefore just trying to get our money rather then making up to us.
I saw Borderlands The Presequel was on sale today since I could finally get into the PSN after several days. I put my gift card in and went to buy it and it suddenly changed to $60 because of the early sale change. Thanks a lot! I finally get to see what’s on sale and then can’t even buy it in time. Wish you guys would’ve at least extended it until the 1st.

I agree with some of the other sentiments, that the ddos attack wasn’t sony’s fault, but the way they have handled it is sub-par customer service.
I am STILL having intermittent server connection problems with my Vita, and am not super happy that their “solution” has been to extend the sales that really weren’t that great to begin with in my opinion.
It’s Christmas and New Year, and as a PS+ member in my first year, I had been very excited to see what my membership perks would be for the holiday season. While I’m sure that a lot of people would disagree with me about the selection, I personally feel like it has been week after week of luke warm oatmeal, topped of with several days of connectivity issue sprinkles.
I don’t expect to be blown away every Tuesday, I don’t expect to receive some over-the-top compensation for the days the network has been down, and I don’t expect to get more than what is reasonable for my membership. That being said, I do feel disappointed somehow, and am not really sure if I will be renewing my membership when it expires, although I will still be a PS customer.

Awesome! Got home from work just in time to find out there was a flash sale that ended earlier today and I could have had Naruto for $25! Hooray for work on new years and flash sales conveniently working against me.
Extending last week sales without adding a new sales week on top of that was a really bad move, you should have added all of december sales for this one last week of december, or like I said before, the new sales on top of the ones last week, really poor effort on Sony’s part after the DDOS attacks (i’m not blaming them for the attacks, I know they can’t be stopped, is not a normal hack). Hope next week sales and flash sales are better.
I got a question regarding Grand Theft Auto V + Great White Shark Card.
I can’t find it when i try to buy it is it no longer available or is it just me that’s having this problem?

I bought Madden 15 from the playstation store and it took forever to download and now it freezes up on me…… WTF!!!!!!!

Why are some games still listed as on sale when I look but are still full price? It seems like the games that were in the holiday sale and possibly some others are still shown in the deal section even though they are full price again. Come on get the correct info at least if your doing a sale. Also still hoping for more rpgs to go on sale next time.

yeah, Christmas had it’s problems, but lets face it, sony doesn’t have a crystal ball. they couldn’t have seen this DDoS attack coming, and a DDoS attack on a large network, during the highest point of traffic of the year on that network, is going to do some damage. I am just thankful that they went back to work on CHRISTMAS DAY to fix the problem, so you can entitled brats can enjoy ps+ and online service.
That being said, what we got for compensation is what we deserve. nothing more. nothing less.

And not every comment. Plenty of us mainly wanted something equivalent. Whether that was extension by the number of full days down or something else.
