We know you’ve been looking forward to this day. We are excited to announce that the HBO GO app for PS4 will be ready to download later today.
The app functions just like the PS3 version. After you authenticate your PS4 with your current cable/satellite service through HBOGO.com/activate, you’ll be able to watch every episode of every season of HBO’s best shows, including True Detective, Silicon Valley and Game of Thrones. Speaking of Game of Thrones, with the season 5 premiere airing on April 12th, you’ve got more than a month to get caught up on the first four amazing seasons. How come this doesn’t work with Comcast Xfinity?? Means I have to continue using my 360. Such a bummer!
Can you please fix the HBOGO app on PS# and PS4 to recognize control via HDMI CEC? The Netflix app on PS3 allows me to use my regular TV remote to navigate the UI completely, which is really wonderful. I don’t understand how these apps get past Sony cert without supporting these standard controls :/
Other than that, we really liked HBOGO on PS3. It would be awesome if it used DTS-HD for better audio quality, like other streaming providers.

Why in the heck is Comcast doing this??? They let us stream HBOGO literally from any other device possible.
I had a hard time finding the HBO Go app in the Playstation Store on my PS4 to download. Might want to consider making it easier to find new apps available to download the same way you highlight new games to download.

HBO Go for the PS4 is currently not supported for Comcast internet users. You cannot activate it if you are with Comcast.

Finally!!! Just started watching Game of Thrones! Picked up HBO 2 months back and was disappointed that Game of Thrones wasn’t on demand. 1 episode in and I’m already hooked. Thank you for the app release!

When I start my HBO GO app on my Sony PS4, it says:-
An error has occured:
Code: 03-37-316
Please fix this error.
But you cannot activate it as a comcast/xfinity subscriber for the ps4 because they aren’t listed under as a provider. Seems like a repeat of the ps3 from last year…….
But hey I got the app install but can’t use it……. very frustrated with both parties.
and sony has pretty much said this is all on comcast now… for the statement on their list..
“If your TV provider is not listed, access to HBO GO on PlayStation®4 is not offered as part of your HBO subscription. Contact your TV provider and ask for HBO GO on PlayStation®4.”

This APP is awesome but in my region we have Comcast Cable and they do not support the PS3 or PS4 with HBO GO.
I really do hope for a change but for the most part I am just disappointed that COMCRAP(COMCAST [abc] OWNS).
This article is Bull**** because it doesn’t explain this. You as a comcast user can only use the service on an Iphone
or other android based phones or tablets. I would bet that if any of you called Comcast right now they would tell you
the same as I am stating. Not a Sony issue to deal with third party BS but at least provide a clear description of what
providers support this app.
Sony, PLEASE give us Canadians HBO: Go on our playstation consoles. You could make a killing here because so many people would buy the ps4 for HBO: Go alone. We seriously want it!

It really seems as if SONY is trying to give me every reason NOT to unplug my XBOX! HBOGO finally comes to PS4, but I can’t watch it on the PS4 because I am a COMCAST customer! Failed again.

When HBO allows my to pay a small monthly fee to use this app, without having to be subscribed to HBO on cable, I’ll sign right up.
HBO Go has been working beautifully on the PS4 for a few days now. However as of today, March 7, 2015 I have been unable to watch any and all series in the list. I have been watching the series, The Game of Thrones (again), before the release of season 5 (made it to Season 2, episode 5. Now I can only preview (Trailer) TV Series’ for 36 seconds. I reinstalled the application, deactivated the device and reactivated with the same results. I can watch any and all episodes from my other devices, (iPhone, Roku, and PC), but the service is not working correctly on my PS4, when it has been working until today! This is only pertaining to all SERIES; movies, documentaries, etc all play just fine. Please help!!!
