Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection – Out October 9th on PS4

You’ve asked for it and we listened. Today we finally get to announce that Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception are being released for the PS4 in the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, available October 9, 2015!

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on PS4

Since the launch of the PS4, we’ve seen plenty of requests across our Twitter, Facebook, and message boards all over the internet to provide remastered releases for the first three games in the Uncharted series, which sold an amazing 21+ million copies and garnered an average 92 Metacritic rating. We couldn’t agree more. What better way to prepare for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End than to revisit – or play for the first time – the first three games that launched the fortune hunting icon that is Nathan Drake?

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on PS4

Early last month, Eric and I took a trip to Austin on the down low to visit the incredible team at Bluepoint Games to check out Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection in person and get ready for this announcement. What we’ve seen of the game so far looks fantastic!

The team at Bluepoint Games is incomparable regarding their portfolio of ports and remastered releases, and we’ve been working closely with them to bring over our engine to make Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection an exemplary game. That means not only delivering the single-player campaigns of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in 1080p and 60fps with better lighting, textures, and models, but also adding a range of improvements and additions across all three games including Photo Mode and new trophies. We put together the list of these improvements and additions based on countless forum posts, messages, Tweets, and even through personal conversations we’ve had with a number of you over the years. More on these specifics in future updates.

By pre-ordering Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection today, you can receive the Nathan Drake Pack which includes single player skins of iconic Drake outfits as well as everyone’s favorite weapons: the Golden AK-47 and Golden 92FS guns. If you pre-order the digital download via the PlayStation Store, you will also get an Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection PS4 dynamic theme as an immediate download.

Pre-order The Nathan Drake Collection

Oh, and one other important note, buying the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection grants you exclusive access to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End multiplayer Beta version (while the Beta is available, of course.)

With the release a scant four months away, we’re looking forward to getting you ready for Drake’s next adventure with the remastered versions of these first three Uncharted titles. With luck we’ll be able to put together some opportunities for our fans to see and play parts of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection prior to its release. We’ll keep you posted here in the upcoming months.

  • I was waiting for a good 3D game to get before I sink money into Morpheus.

Oh, wait, you dropped that?! Along with multiplayer support for the second and third titles?

Hey, smart move, Yoshida. That is why you are working on Morpheus!!!

  • Are you guys going to do the same as Last Of Us Remastered and have about 80 pieces of paid DLC for those who bought the game before the game is even released?

  • Where can we preorder the guns and silly hats beforehand for these singleplayer only titles, Sony? While I only spent about two hundred on Last Of Us Remastered, I smell a pay raise for you boys!

  • Please tell me that even though there is no multiplayer that it includes the cooperative missions…those were absolutely the main part I was looking forward to playing with my wife on these games…

  • No multiplayer = no buy for me. Access to UC 4 Beta a fix? Why? Betas expire so it’s more of a MP tease. UC 2 was my favorite MP experience.

  • will part 2 still have the 3d option?

  • i meant part 3

  • i still own them for ps3 so if i want multiplay can still jump on it!!!

  • Will the Dynamic Theme be available for purchase later on PSN? That theme looks awesome but I prefer physical games. :(

  • Major disappointment that there is no 3D option. Uncharted 3 was absolutely stunning in 3D on PS3. Surely the PS4 is more than capable. Bought a Bravia 3D tv for gaming but yet again Sony fail to support there own products after release. I fear Morpheus will go the same way as 3D/Move/Vita Unsupported.

  • What a garbage,Sony’s turning into a garbage company to satiate people that say that PS4 has no games you guys come with the lame and shameful recycled games. You fool the people to think these are new games and worse to think that these have something special(other than photo mode)over the PS3 version.
    This is some B.I.G. bull****.
And I pity people who support this…people fail to see how anti-consumer this is.

Funny how the worse companies didn’t released a recycled game yet and they probably won’t….but good companies or in this case companies that used to be good are the ones doing this crap.

  • This collection really needs Golden Abyss- it is a great game and in every way at least as good as Drake’s Fortune. Also it would be a shame for the game to fall into obscurity having only had Vita owners play it, when it deserves to be played by a wider audience.

Also I hope the Eye of Indra is included in this collection, just for completionists sake.

Realistically if this is full price they are gonna see massive disappointment and losses as it is U1 costs about 5 dollars and U2 about 15 or 20 (and your not even getting the multiplayer) U3 is also about 25 and the multiplayer was made free so all in all id say 40 dollars is more than enough considering. Also any marketting strategist would tell you to compile U2 and U3 multiplayer into one . It wouldnt “fracture” the already in place community it would reinvigorate it. And you cant really excuse the price due to the U4 beta as it will probably be available for 2 weeks max and potentially be opened up for public anyway. Seriously guys i love uncharted just playing devils advocate. I know it more work but include the other multiplayers it will be worth it and you will make the fans very happy and cement a stellar reputation . Thats it ive said my piece. Any and all critiques welcomed

  • I agree with Welmosca. This game is actually a recycled sh**, I did not expect this from ND it is REALLY drake’s deception.

  • Bite Me Naughty Dog! Your only remastering half of UC2 and UC3 without the multiplayer. Come on Man! And your charging $60 for that? That’s a rip off and sad, very sad. People come back to play these games because of the coop and multiplayer. UC2 was the only single player that I played sections of several times. My friends and I still play today because of the multiplayer. I’m sure everyone at ND is busy with UC4, but don’t try and sell me UC2/3 without the multiplayer component. Color me, pissed off and disappointed in my favorite game developer.

  • Thanks ND! I’ve been waiting for this! I’m so glad I don’t have to worry about online trophies too. Bonus!

  • People complaining about the price and no multiplayer need to grow up. It comes down to $20 a game on the PS4. That’s a pretty sweet deal when you think of it. Also, there’s no need for multiplayer when you can still play it on the PS3. Naughty Dog isn’t going to use their resources to run multiplayer for UC2 and UC3 when they need to focus on UC4. Remember, that UC4 multiplayer IS included with this bundle. Quit whining and enjoy what Naughty Dog has been gracious enough to do for you. Ya big babies.

  • @Kuhlio13

You grow up. Many of us loved the multiplayer and thought it would have been a great way to bring back that classic Uncharted multiplayer everyone fell in love with in Uncharted 2.

No one is asking for a multiplayer in each game, one multiplayer overall would have done.

Oh and by the way NaughtyDog aren’t making this so get your facts straight before calling other people.

  • Does the physical copy of the game will include a code for the Dynamic Theme or only for the digital per-order?

  • No multiplayer after waiting this long for UC4? Total rip off. Will likely break down and purchase this for the PS4… Is it really that much trouble to include a MP element? We pay for PSN server access already. I for one, am seriously disappointed!

  • Does anybody know a price this will cost?

  • who gives a flying crap on the MP we need the GOLDEN ABYSS !!!

  • PriviateAlexHatz

I love uncharted and on the ps4 it would be ****ing amazing jbdfjsdbkhfbsdkhfbksdhbfksd

  • The way I see it, this is for two groups of people. Mega fans of Uncharted, and Xbox converts. Gamers here seem to think they are the only ones in the world. Mega fans just want to play the games again with better visuals. Xbox converts have probably not played the Uncharted games. This gives them an easy way to get up to speed before Uncharted 4 comes out.

In the last generation, there was much butthurt about HD collections. I have 5 I know of: 2 of which, were games I already owned-the Jak series and Ratchet series. The other 3-Ico, God of War, and Sly Cooper were games I missed. if entitled gamers had their way I would not have been able to experience 7 excellent games I missed because when they were released, I was a child with no job or in the case of God of War, underage. Both the GoW and Sly collection games got me up to speed for their respective PS3 sequels.

If you want it, buy it. if you don’t, don’t buy it. That simple.

  • MEGATRONLEARDER

THANK GOD THANK SONY THANK NAUGHTY DOG I LOVE U SO MUCH THANKS FOR BRINGING Uncharted TO Ps4 I PLAT THEM ON PS3 FUN TO DO IT AGANE BY

  • Way excited to puck this up on my PS4, however I am a bit disappointed there will not be support for 3D on Uncharted 3. Playing Uncharted 3 in 3D was one of the best 3D experiences I have had on my 3D TV. Really wish Sony had not dropped all things 3D, they were such big supporters at start but seem to have totally forgotten it ever happened now.

  • Oh and I would also like to add my vote for the inclusion or future addition via DLC of Golden Abyss loved it on my Vita and would enjoy playing it in HD on my TV. This would made a great pre-order incentive even if it was not available until some point after release.

@Spacerac: I’m inclined to agree with you that these remasters aren’t meant for everyone, and that many in the two groups you mention (and others I’m sure) will be thrilled to experience these games.

But I do think there’s room for some reasonable dissent and discussion here. The overall gaming landscape has, for many (not all of course, probably not even most), become too dependent on rehashes and remakes. Backward compatibility has become a thing of the past this gen. I know that PS4 being able to play PS3 games would dramatically raise the price of the system. But there are many gamers out there who would gladly pay $600 or more for a fully backward compatible PS4. Even if it could handle only digital versions of PS3 games, and perhaps PS1/PS2 Classics.

I think they could have put MP in this collection. I think it’s reasonable to wish they had, and to speak up so that ND knows there’s a strong interest for next time.

  • A perk of being a ps plus member is access to mp betas. Why is the beta being hidden behind a pay wall for incomplete last generations games that I cannot play with friends when i want to.

This is what is killing newer generations of gaming. Trying to nickel and dime the consumers. I expected more from Sony and ND. This is a horrible deal for the consumers and you all know this.

Make all these games complete and stop trying to charge full price for old games. Your fan base wants Uncharted 2 mp in its glory in 1.04. Put the multiplayers in the remastered and gives consumers actual deals. All 3 full complete games for $39.99 and no U4 mp beta hidden behind another paywall. That beta should be free to all ps plus members.

We as consumers need to stand up for this treatment and not let corporations take advantage of us like this.
    Games not complete= no buy.

  • What happened? You guys were ahead of the curve (as in beating the XB1) and now you guys are slowly slipping in your edge. Where the differences in games are almost non-existent, same multiplats, and the competition with a cheaper system. Now 2015, you got caught with no steady stream of games (not counting Order and Bloodborne) and your only recourse are remakes?

GOW3, $40. Too expensive. Uncharted collection, but no Vita game to it? No multiplayer? Why? Because it’ll split the community? Let me see…. oh yes “The Last of Us” says hello.

  • No 3D , not even for U3? thats really sad :( Why is Sony dropping 3D support now that PS4 would be powerful enough to handle it and 3D TVs are basically standard. In that case waiting for a sale :(

  • Sony has really gone down the crapper. They have the best marketing on fooling people to buy the PS4 only to sell them rehash after rehash. The other consoles may have not as sold as much as the PS4, but they sure as hell are much better.

  • $60.00? No gracias.

  • It seems like most of the comments here are negative. I can’t really blame them either.
You have to wonder if Naughty Dog thought to themselves just because this could be released should it.
The problem with the Uncharted series is that most everyone here has already played it and many still own it.
Knowing this, Naughty Dog should have made sure not only to keep everything the originals had (Stereoscopic 3D, multiplayer, and the making of videos), but they should have added more extras as well.

  • oh look another “remaster” and whats this? no multiplayer what a joke i’ll just keep playing on my PS3 thank you very much

  • I WAS looking forward to this, but 74.99 on pre order…..sorry Sony your nuts…..so 75 bucks in October and another 75 bucks in april/may, almost 200 bucks with Canadian Tax…..i can wait, and just buy UC4…..thanks but no thanks…

  • i agree 75$ way to much and $10 for taxes so 85$ when i can get all 3 of them in used bin for 10$ save my self 75$ lol

  • Hi!, if possible i have a few little question’s i would like answered for this upcoming Remaster.
    1. Since Uncharted is being remastered in 1080p/60fps, is there going to be a 30fps cap option like there was in TLOU, if not would you reconsider adding it for it was such a cool feature.
2.What will this Collection take for GB’s? TLOU took 44.76GB of space with the latest patch 1.06 and no add ons, so what will Uncharted take, if not a allowed to reveal maybe you could just give me an estimate because iam thinking of upgrading my harddrive to 4TB.
3.This is not really a question but i know people are pissed off because there is no MP in this package. I can see why you are only including the single player experience’s here because really i think that is all that is nesscary, i have one little problem, if there is somehow deep down in those Naughty Dog heart’s of your’s could you please bring Golden abyss to the Collection as well. This is a whole other Uncharted experience that this package desperately need’s.

  • Please tell me there will be an option to revert back to the original 30fps with motion blurs, just like The Last of Us Remastered provided. Uncharted has always been a CINEMATIC experience. 60fps would not only be killing it for me but it’d be giving us headaches.

  • And an idea for multiplayer maps: Perhaps provide a mode where you can just explore the multiplayer maps for both UC2 and 3 as an extension to photo mode? It holds a little sentimental value for me, especially “The Fort” from UC2. Loved the sunset and staring into the ocean with that map.

  • I was going to buy this, until I heard the unbelievable fact that the multiplayer was not to be included. What a wasted opportunity.
