Hi everyone. After a lot of hard work from the team at Evolution Studios, I’m pleased to announce that we are making the Driveclub PlayStation Plus Edition available to all PlayStation Plus members starting on Thursday, June 25th.
We’ve spent a long time preparing for this launch after some difficult and unexpected set-backs. To make absolutely certain that all players have the smoothest and most stable experience possible we are going to be duly cautious about how we release the game this time around.
Starting on Thursday, all PlayStation Plus members can download Driveclub PS Plus Edition and begin playing the offline mode. Also starting Thursday, we will be rolling out online access to the Driveclub PS Plus Edition and will steadily bring more and more players online while continuously ensuring that all game systems are running smoothly. We know that this might be frustrating after your extra wait already, but hope you can understand that we are taking extra precautions to protect your experience when you do get online. We want to make sure we don’t overload the servers as we invite millions of PS Plus members to download the game tomorrow.
We have to take this precaution because Driveclub connectivity is demanding for a multiplayer game, with countless ever-growing social connections across clubs, challenges, multiplayer, and hundreds of thousands of dynamic leaderboards and activity feeds.
Everybody will have full access to the offline mode of the Driveclub PS Plus Edition while this is happening and we will keep you fully up to speed via driveclub.com with updates on access as we bring everybody online.
Thank you to everyone who has stood by Driveclub during the past year and for everyone who has accepted the extra wait for the PS Plus Edition and the companion app which will come after. The team at Evolution Studios is working incredibly hard to make Driveclub great for you, to get everyone to have fun racing in clubs and continue the evolution of the game with spectacular updates every month. I can’t wait to see all of you enjoying the game online together.
Also just as I suspected… Not free to plus members. You cant platinum this game at all unless you pay 25 bucks for this game on sale right now to plus members. Then I bet in a week it will jump up to 50 or 60 bucks regular price. 99% of the game and cars has to have the game bought to play on the tracks and use the cars you unlock leaving just a very few in the so called free version. After the delay and sales you did get in this whole delay time you’d think plus members would get it free the whole game as a sorry and here you go for the ordeal of the delays and lies. You won’t get my 25 bucks or more at all later. I’ll play the free version on my mAin psn account that is rudely blocked from commenting on here and just play it free. After a while I’ll delete it and be done with overhyped game but no deliver as always. Just a demo and saying BUY ME to play the whole me. What a bunch of crock
How this game turned out in major greed and lies is why our government is in shambles. Republicans can’t do anything roght I swear, they ruin everything they touch or work on and no matter how much somethimg is wrong or messed up they break promises and only care about money than people. Bet a bunch of republicans made this game. Would explain the greedy road they took. Promised free for plus members and changed their mind and delayed it in hopes to sell ut to those that didn’t want to wait and the when sales were near nothing they told themselves we better make 1% of the game playable as a demo and call it plus free edition yet still forcing us to buy the game to actually get to play the whole thing. Capitalist greedy mind set right there. Full of lies like every rich republican known to man. Just shameful! I’ll play that free version for the trophies but you aint gettimg my money, liars!
On PS Store i downloaded driveclub playstation plus edition. after installing it and the update I tried to play it, but all of the single player races are locked with a message saying “To continue you must upgrade your DRIVECLUB playstation plus edition.” I have tried to and when i select continue on the upgrade screen i get a PS store message saying “The content cannot be selected at this time.” message. What is going on, did Sony troll us in releasing a game that can’t be played?
Do you have to upgrade to use the dlc or can you just buy the dlc?
Couldn’t Believe it when I Went in on psn store and saw driveclub as ps+ free game of the month added as a 7th game. Considering it is a expensive game. Been playing alot and realized that the playstation + version is merely a demo. We got a free demo. If you want more or well lets say the rest of the 90% of the game that is already installed on the ps4 you will have to upgrade for 20+ euros. Smart move to trick people thinking it is a full game.
I dont want to be a negative person I just Think that PSN should have had the ps+ version under demo category instead of free game of the month category.
