The Drop

Nathan Drake has set foot on forgotten ruins, plundered ancient treasures, fought legions of pirates, and won a few hearts along the way. This Friday, the famed treasure hunter plunges into new light with Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on PS4.

Experience a great life born of small beginnings. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection includes all three single-player campaigns from the Uncharted series (Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception). The collection has been beautifully remastered by the team at Bluepoint Games with enhanced visuals, gameplay improvements, and new modes. The new collection is also the only way to gain exclusive access to the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Multiplayer Beta (December 4th through 13th). It’s an exquisite collection for new globetrotters and seasoned explorers alike.

But that’s not the only sweeping adventure coming to PlayStation. The Star Wars Battlefront Beta opens this week on PS4! Wage war as both the Rebels and Imperials in three different modes across iconic Star Wars vistas.

For a full list of games coming to PlayStation this week, read on. And enjoy the Drop!

    Enjoy the Drop! Happy weekend!

    • Looks good this week. I’m looking forward to playing the Uncharted trilogy again, (my PS3 is being abducted soon, heh) and the Star Wars Battlefront beta is a must play for me.

    • yowzagabowza

      Prices.

    • SLICKBACK62

+Yowzagabowza, are you dense or something???? I mean first of all a few of those games are already on the store for pre order unless you live under a rock where there is no internet the prices are already known.

Second, are you like 7 or something? Everyone knows the cost of MOST AAA titles is 59.99. Now granted some of those up there are PS3 and VITA titles, so COMMON sense should tell you the other games will range from 39.99 to 59.99.

Also PS1 Classic games range from 4.99 to 9.99.

So there you have it, now you can stop demanding that they put prices with these posts.

    • MakaiOokami

The prices may not be finalized. The sales may not be finalized, the PS Plus deals may not be finalized (which I am using the time in which we got the PS Plus lineup the day before because they were having negotiation issues to extrapolate from), and buying on Tuesday it’self is generally a bad idea since if you are budgeting, you won’t be taking into account possible Flash Sales on Friday.

Yowzabagowza already knows that however since we’ve had that discussion before.

I don’t know why Yowza has to do this every week. Why they don’t just accept that The Drop is where they list releases, all subject to change without notice, and not as finalized as The PSN update after they did all the coding, finished negotiations, and put everything up officially.

    • MakaiOokami

Slickback I’ve argued with him before in messages. He’ll likely just argue

-Well if you already know it then why can’t the PS Blog do it-

He’ll also argue (if you are like me and send him a website that lists the confirmed prices) that if 3rd party websites can do it why isn’t the blog team competent enough to be able to do that.

To which I know Ryan Clements is likely to say something like

-All games and prices subject to change with or without notice, these wouldn’t be final prices, and it would do more harm than good to post the final prices before release-

Of course again my own argument is

-If you care about prices you probably shouldn’t buy anything until Friday comes and goes to see if there’s a flash sale-

Yowza is a blog troll. He lurks around so that he can trololololol about.

    • @SLICKBACK62 I think it’s more that no one at Sony seems to know what they’re doing, even after the store is updated. They don’t post prices in advance because there’s no internal communication about a) what’s going to be in the store next week and b) what they’re going to charge for it. Now, I don’t follow most multinational conglomerations, but when I do (Sony), they seem to have the organizational skills of a six-year-old.

    • Nice toxic community you are fostering here with the allowance of personal attacks and insults.

    • I wonder whether they don’t display prices anymore because the Canadian and US stores now charge different amounts for the same games due to the divergence in exchange rate.. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is a depressing $79.99 on the Canadian PS store for instance..

  • Stoked for UNCHARTED: The Nathan Drake Collection! My whole weekend will be devoted to Platinum-ning all three. Plus, we have Transformers Devastation and the Star Wars Battlefront Beta. Such a great week for games.

  • Wow! Awesome game for vita, and Disgaea 5 finally! Thanks you

  • When does Uncharted pre-load starts?

    • MakaiOokami

Sometimes it says it when you purchase it, and click on the game. It’ll sometimes say “Pre-load Expected ” with a date.

    • Crazymanwalking1

expected pre-load time is 10/07/2015 it should be the same for everybody

  • Excited for The Nathan Drake Collection and trying to Platinum all of them again. I’ll also be checking out the Star Wars Beta.

  • eggmiester28

I always love seeing ps1 games come out. But they are rarely the ones i want to play.

    • If you like time-attack shooters, you will like Sanvein. Go check it out on youtube. It’s the only game out of this run of Agetec games I can recommend. But yeah, I understand. PS1 had a bunch of great games that aren’t on the US PSN: Brave Fencer Musashi (on the JP store), Einhander (on the JP store), Loaded (on the EU store?), on and on and on.

    • OH MY GOD AGETEC what did you do to Sanvein to make it slow down so much? All you had to do was change the couple of instances of Japanese in the game to English and slap your logo on it. Why did you make it run like crap?

I take back everything I said about getting Sanvein. Don’t get the US release, it’s a slow pile of poop. Get it off the JP PSN instead.

  • Sonicfan11589

Sorry to ask this, but can we have more well known PS1 games re-release on PSN (as well as PS2 Classics) Lately a lot of the Classic re-releases I’ve never heard of.

    • Sony thinks classics are so unimportant that their last two platforms launched with zero Classics available. The only platform they support at this point still can’t play them.

  • Yet we still don’t have a Chloe Uncharted Spin off for Vita. MADNESS!

  • Sonicfan11589

I especially want PS1 and PS2 Classics other countries have:
    -Dead or Alive 1
    -Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution
    -Sonic Heroes
    -Fear Effect 1 and 2
    -Tomb Raider Chronicles

    • When was the last time you played DOA1? It’s not a good game, and you’d get better boob jiggle out of putting a billiard ball in a sock and swinging it around. I’m being absolutely serious about the boobs.

  • Sonicfan11589

Also I saw a Target ad that PS4 is allegedly getting a $50 price drop, I understand if you can’t comment on it.

    • MakaiOokami

If you keep up with cartwheel Target has had the PS4 on 10-15% deals every few months or so.

at 15% (or 5% more with the red card) you can get it for 20% off which is about $319.99. Heck even with just the 10% the 5% makes it $60 off for $339.99

However 10% off of $349.99 (when the price drop does come) will be quite nice.

Nintendo is gonna have a hard year this year if the PS4 is the same price as they are. Not sure dropping $50 is going to make a difference for them. Last year for Black Friday Xbox One had a bunch of Assassin Creed games, something crazy like an $80 gift card it was crazy it was like $240 for the console or $320… I almost considered getting one but I don’t even know what games I cared about for it.

  • ShadowStar83x

Dragon Age: Inquisition GOTY, Disgaea 5, and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for me this week…my poor wallet!

  • Phenix--Nguyen

Dragon Age: Inquisition GOTY & Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection is all I need for this week.

  • Wooo onigiri, although i won’t believe it till i see it in the store, need to check out dragon age inquisition too since goty edition is coming this week

    • NeoStrayCat

Don’t worry, you’ll believe it’ll be there, its already on the “other system” with their’s already up on that actual date, so don’t worry about it, its coming to PS soon! X3

  • TeamGreen615

Dengue Bunko : Fighting Climax looks pretty good for the Vita. I know I will be getting Earth Defense Force 2, Sword Art Online, and Legend of Heroes when they come out in the future. Still waiting for a God Eater game to get localized. Japan 3 EU/NA 0 :(

    • God Eater needs to come to the US. Ever since I played Project X Zone, I wanted a game to be localized, after the PSP game.

  • Could i have worst timing getting Dragon Age for the ps4 :(

  • Seeing_Red_Again

I was going to get The Nathan Drake collection, but then I heard that it did not have a 30fps option like The Last of Us Remastered has. The cinematic look that 30fps gives games is part of the magic for me with Uncharted and other games that rival films. I can’t believe they didn’t include the option

    • Djent_Maven

Please get with the future of gaming. Nothing, I repeat nothing should be 30fps. It is not cinematic. It’s choppy and lags.

  • I hope there’s a good sale this week. The previous two weeks had awful ones.

  • Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax, Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance, Rock Band 4, and Transformers Devastation are preordered, and i will check out Onigiri, Super Meat Boy, and the Star Wars Battlefront Beta. This is gonna be a superbusy week for gaming!

  • For the Uncharted Collection, will it be possible to get cover art without the Beta ad? It’s just a minor nitpick of mine. I’d prefer if those were stickers on the shrink wrap instead of the cover itself.

    • shadysaiyanz

I completely agree here. I hate it when publishers put these things right on the artwork.

    • AizawaYuuichi

Agreed. Hopefully it’s just a sticker on the shrink wrap, or worst case, the cover art, so we can still peel it off. If it’s part of the artwork… ugh.
      Still getting it, though.

  • YES!!!

    Saint Seiya: Soldiers Soul
    Star Wars Battlefront Beta
    Uncharted Collection

    Awesome week for me.

  • Disgaea 5 for me this week.

I’ll be waiting on a price drop for The Nathan Drake Collection and Rock Band 4. I really wanna pick those up but now is not the time for me sadly.

  • Does nathan drake collection have multiplayer as well or just singleplayer only?

  • davidstubbs

Disgaea 5 CE and Dengenki Bunko for me (unless Ignition proves to be of better value)

  • DISGAEA 5 ! ! ! ! ! !

    • MakaiOokami

I was wondering when I posted this!

Then I realized you aren’t me!

    • MakaiOokami

I was wondering when I posted this!

Then I realized you aren’t me! Dood!

  • Rock Band 4 and Disgaea 5 for me, also Onigiri i hope will really come this time, and later ill get Uncharted since i already played and platinum all on PS3 im not so hyped but ill play for sure!

    • NeoStrayCat

Don’t worry, Onigiri will actually come out this time, lol. Its already up on the “other system”, so it’ll be coming to the PS Store shortly.

  • Yay Agetec for Star Shooter Sanvein! It’s a good budget game, I highly recommend it.

And boo Capcom/Sony for disabling PSP compatibility on Mega Man Legends. I hope you’re issuing refunds to all those people who only have PSPs on their accounts. Ha ha ha, who am I kidding, you’ve got their money, screw ’em, right?

  • “The Drop: New PlayStation Games for 6/24/2014 Farming Simulator 14 PS Vita Digital, Retail: Farming Simulator 14 invites you into the challenging world of a modern day farmer: cow husbandry, plant, harvest, and trade in crops… own and operate your very own farm… wherever you go.”

“The Drop: New PlayStation Games for 10/6/2015 Farming Simulator 16 PS Vita Retail: Develop and grow your farm over a huge, dynamic landscape. Farming Simulator 16 invites you to enter the world of a modern day farmer: perform duties including animal husbandry, planting, harvesting, and trading crops.”

Congrats, you’ve just described last years game!

From Best Buy’s website: “Try your hand at forestry – for the first time on PS Vita – which comes with its own industry-specific machinery. Feed sheep and sell wool to the highest bidder with the arrival of the fluffy farmyard animals for the first time on PS Vita. Get in the driver’s seat and behind the controls of more than 50 authentic farming vehicles from the industry’s most respected brands including New Holland, Case IH, Lamborghini, Deutz-Fahr, Kuhn, Amazone, Krone and more.”

    • veryhoudini11

Congats, you are probably the only person that cares!

    • JimmyLSanchez

I second that, stop trying to pollute this blog with unnecessary drama. There are fans of any game, and atleast FS does try to add something new. What do you want, Matt Damon in Martian: Spacial Farming Simulator 16.

  • AbsoluteChoice

Dengeki bunko, uncharted, and battlefront beta for me this week. Can’t wait!

I’ll also check out supermeat boy and onigiri.

  • disgaea 5 and tales of zestiria later this month :3

  • i want disgaea 5 no matter the price

  • In another case of unfortunate timing, a fourth playable character (the Raildex franchise’s Shirai Kuroko) and a new support character (her team-mate Kazari Uiharu) were announced as heading to Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax Ignition – which will be published in Japan for Vita, PS3, and PS4 this December.

As I noted in another thread, I almost wish that Sega had held off on releasing the original DB:FC until the New Year, when they could have gone with Ignition instead. Of course, having localized games appear in the shadow of more recent Japanese releases is nothing new, but there is usually more of a gap between the one and the other – not least in this case, where Ignition is not exactly a sequel, but rather a “plus” version of the original game.

Speaking of new games, the next SAO game, Hollow Realization, was announced for a 2016 release on Vita and PS4 in Japan. With luck, the sales of Lost Song here in North America will warrant a swift localization process for SAO:HR, as and when the time comes for Badai Namco America to consider whether or not to bring that game over.

  • Dang, yesterday bought dragon age inquisition :/ DANG DANG

  • LeandroDiFini

Excited for the new Disgaea and Saint Seiya Soldier Soul! Man… What an Anime nerd I am.

  • Rock Band.

After last weeks tease of Onigiri, I hope this is the one.

3 day weekend, and I’ll be outside. I have a few games to play once the rain comes.

  • I find it kinda ironic that cinematic Uncharted Collection is coming out on a friday just like a movie.

  • I’ve been anticipating the Uncharted Collection ever since it was announced. I don’t normally like paying $60 for a game on release day, but in this case I’ll make an exception. $20 for each game I can do, especially considering how much they cost when they were first released for PS3. I took Friday off, so I’ll be picking it up at BB at 10:00, and by 10:30, I’ll be playing. Can’t wait!!! Also, a special thank you to Sony for leaving the multiplayer out of two and three. Maybe now I’ll be able to platinum all three without having to worry about those cumbersome multiplayer trophies! I also plan to pick up Disgaea 5 just as soon as the price is right. I can wait as I will have Uncharted to keep me busy for a while!

    • Strangeheaven

How on earth can you thank sony for leaving out the multiplayer for uncharted 2&3 so you can platinum the games is beyond me. Multiplayer was fantastic on Uncharted 2. I want trophies rid of all together, there pointless and meaningless, all they ever do is create clutter. The day sony decides to ditch trophies, I will thank them.

  • Good week! I’ll picking up Disgaea 5, Dengenki Bunko Fighting Climax and Super Meat Boy. Would love to get Uncharted and Rock Band 4 as well, but I’ll be waiting for a price drop.

  • Will likely pick up the Uncharted collection after a price drop. They can be bought individually for less than the collection price.

  • Please tell me I’m not the only one looking forward to Dengeki Bunko FIGHTING CLIMAX on Vita….

  • glad i didnt preorder disgaea 5 heres why preorder any game from target for dollar get 25 percent off any ps4 game making d5 45 bux plus tax. not bad buy

  • The advertisements for Saint Seiya Soldiers’ Soul had pre-order bonus costumes, one of which is for Athena. Will that be available, or are the costumes just included in the game without the need for a pre-order?

  • Will there be any sort of discount on the dlc for dragon age inquisition? I preordered the game from the store nand was really looking forward to getting the dlc. I just dint want to get shafted on this price, especially now that it is at such a discount.

  • ps3 Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax Hypppee! – Got the retail version! yah I wanted that soundtrack!

  • Woop to the mo****** woop Disgea 5 cant wait! Are these dates count for EU PSN to?

  • pandakids09

Been keeping myself busy playing Megaman Legends on my Vita and now Dengeki is finally coming on Tuesday. Can’t wait! Hope it does well enough for Sega to bring ignition over

  • Uncharted Nathan Drake what a short and disappointed demo. Tomb Raider without Laura Croft, not worth it!!!

  • Is the Star Wars Beta available for everyone?

  • BREC-MEXICO

Onigiri yeah!! i cant wait :D

  • bobbydharrell

Stoked for Fighting Climax, Still working through J-Stars Victory +. And now a second Anime themed fighter has dropped … YAY Vita!!!

  • White_JackaL

Some nice things, though I’m waiting for Tales of Zestiria.

Please enter your date of birth.
