New Uncharted 4 Cinematic Revealed at The Game Awards 2015

Were you watching The Game Awards 2015 tonight? If you weren’t, you missed some great exclusive reveals and a wonderful music act – certainly one of my favorite bands in the last few years.

But what I’m referring to is the reveal of a brand new cinematic clip from Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End! The clip shows Nathan Drake meeting a new, decidedly less than friendly character. You can watch it again below:

There’s much, much more to learn about Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End in the next few months leading up to our worldwide release on March 18, 2016. If you are attending The PlayStation Experience in San Francisco this weekend, check out our Uncharted 4 panel on Saturday, December 6 at 3:00 PM, and hit the exhibit floor to play Uncharted 4 Multiplayer.

We hope to see you there!

  • Nice very nice but I’m on media blackout since that insane extended E3 gameplay.

  • Looks like fun. This game will be the game to play when released. I’m pretty sure it’ll be worth day one pickup

  • Wait, THATS who Laura Bailey is playing? Why not cast a black actress for a black character?

    • You’re joking right? Do you realize how stupid that sounds? Samurai Jack was a Japanese character voiced by a black guy. Who gives a damn? All that matters is if the actor can do the job well. And Laura Bailey voicing a black woman only shows that Laura is that much more of a versitile actor. And judging by this clip, Laura is doing a good job. That is all that matters. Please tell me that you were joking.

    • Your not understanding what I’m trying to say, and to avoid any accidental racist comments I won’t explain it

    • Go protest for safe spaces and to remove history from our books and universities you orwellian pansy.

    • Doesn’t matter.

“It’s not my job to educate you.”

    • I did’t even think that was her, I thought they might’ve gotten the girl from Furious 7 and game of thrones to play that part..

    • @jchill001 I know exactly what you were trying to say and you didn’t explain it because you can’t. Not to avoid racist comments. What you said was stupid and irrelevant. Who gives a damn about what a voice actors ethnicity is? Are they doing a good job at playing the part? Yes? Then shut the hell up. Even if they weren’t doing the part well, it’s still irrelevant.

    • You’re an idiot. Acting is about performing fictional roles. If you’re worried about racist comments then keep your mouth shut coz YOUR comment was racist. what’s wrong with a white woman voicing a black character? It’s just a bloody game!

    • Okay, guys, this is really a stupid argument!
@jchill001 I think I get what you were saying as why this is the case. You felt it would be more appropriate to have an actor of the same ethnicity play the character and while that is fine, how you phrased it was wrong. Plus, you shouldn’t limit yourself to this way of thinking. Laura Bailey auditioned for a role and she got one. That’s all you should care about.
And @amackey10 and any others replying to this, you getting defensive toward his comment and attacking his opinion is stupid too. We all game for the sake of gaming, and sadly, we’re in an age where race is an issue, but just since someone has an opinion doesn’t mean you should tear them down.
Think about actors like Phil Lamarr (who played Samurai Jack), John DiMaggio, hell even Nolan North and Troy Baker are known for playing roles outside of their race, sexuality and age. That doesn’t mean you need to be their mouth.
They. Have. Their. Own. Let them get mad if they feel like it. Hell, that’s why we have dubs of anime in the first place!
So I don’t care if you are friends, enemies, exes or lovers, or complete strangers: CUT THE CRAP AND JUST ENJOY THE FREAKING GAME!!!

  • “…Neither are you.” So there. Best excuse ever. I can’t wait to see what this fight will be like.

And you mean December 6, Sunday, right?

  • 5 years ago I would have watched that trailer and simply enjoyed it for what it is, but in 2015 all I think is “Of course they had to include a strong black woman to appease the Anita crowd”. I will never be able to see that character for being that character like I would have, now it’s all about politics and ideologies in games.

    • Then you have some issues to work out Killerattax. I saw this as another hype moment while waiting for UC4. Thanks for trying to dampen everyone’s mood.

  • Dat hair! Can’t wait, I’m taking a long weekend to play this

  • WHAT?! that’s it?? MORE!!!

    • Yes, quite a tease. I’m hoping we’ll get to see how the scene plays out at PSX :-)

  • I *love* the new character! Oh, this is going to be good!

I’m confident that Uncharted 4 will be an incredible adventure. And the multiplayer looks impressively solid. This already looks to be one of 2016’s best!

  • Is that cutscene in real-time? If so, damn that hair!! :D

  • Sure seems like the inspiration for the character’s looks and accent came from Naomie Harris, Moneypenny from Spectre.
