Well, you’ve done it again! After an exciting Vote to Play campaign, PlayStation Plus users have selected Broforce as the first title in March’s PS4 free games lineup. You picked it, you got it!

If you’re a fan of the other two games, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Assault Android Cactus and Action Henk will be available for PlayStation Plus members with a 30% discount from March 8th to March 21st.

So what can you expect as a bro in Broforce? You’ll fight evil and rescue bro teammates using fire, napalm, and whatever else you find in the name of freedom. We hope you enjoy this run ‘n’ gun shooter with up to four of your closest bros.

Next up, Galak-Z, a two dimensional sci-fi shooter taken to the next level. Pilot your ship through this physics-driven, procedurally generated world while surviving several enemy factions. Wait, did I mention that your ship can transform into a laser sword-wielding Mech? Can this get any better? (Hint: Stay tuned for exciting news about Galak-Z in the coming weeks.)

    OK, how is this for an idea. Offer a game for PSPlus owners from the PS Now library. That would a) meet the AAA title qualification a portion of the community wants, b) develop interest in the PS Now service, and c) be a lower profit loss for developers/publishers as the content would already be aged.

    So quick review on “free” games that I’m not paying a subscription for….

    Vita:
    Reality Fighters: a wannabe street fighter that just, is sluggish and overall poor.
    Flame Over: Sweet, I can be a firefighter now….

    PS3:
    Super Stardust HD: Good game overall, but paid for it ~3 years ago (like most other people).
    The Last Guy: Some weird snake style game where you go collect/save people from being turned into zombies, while playing on Google Maps….

    PS4:
    Broforce: *Another* retro, 8-bit, side scroller, shooter. This was the one voted for beating out Assault Android Cactus (arcade style shooter) and Action Henk (platformer Trials game, thought it looked interesting).
    Galak-Z: Raiden sytle shooter, more side scrolling though, and set in space. Looks interesting as you aren’t just going in direction.

    Verdict: Same **** as always, and sad to see nothing but retro style in the time of the generation consoles.

    Alot of these comments make me feel so bad for the Sony employees that put time into this. It is impossible for them to give out games that every person likes every month.

    Sony does not force you to subscribe to ps+ unless you want to play online in which case a few extra games are just a bonus they offer. If you are a person that is reliant on the extra games ps+ offers you’ve already made a wrong turn somewhere. Consider these games and the discounts you get as what they are which is an extra.

    Saying for example broforce is a terrible game compared to the other two is a really pointless argument to make. Clearly the vast majority of people disagree with you because they voted on this game. Saying broforce is a bad game because it’s pixelated as it was designed to be is another pointless argument. Pixel art games are very appreciated among the larger amount of gamers. Saying things regarding the artstyle of a game makes me question your age in which if you are younger (under 16) i understand why you wouldn’t like it.

    I will be enjoying Broforce, Galak-Z and Super Stardust HD the coming month and highly recommend people who have not tried them yet to do so because they are fun.

      It’s not that we don’t get a game we like every month. It’s that we haven’t had a game we like in 6 months. These chappy little indie games are the same thing just with different art. It’s the kind of games you get on your mobile, or the games we played on a web browser back in 2000. This content is not ‘for the players’. And honestly these games represent a complete lack of effort on the part of Sony.

    meh nothing that i care for… again, happy i got a pc my ps4 will still be there for whenever a good exclusive comes out but i will not be renovating my ps+ subscription this year n.n after 3-4 years with it

    heck even before if i didn’t like the games i would go ahead and download them to have in my catalog but now it’s just a waste of time n.n

    I love that people will complain every month about how bad the games are or how cheap sony is. I have both Xbox one and ps4 and every month i look forward to the free games( and for me they are free because i play games online so that is why i pay for the service, and if you want to go with there not free you get 24 free games a year for $50 so get over it.). I actually prefer to get indie games, alot of them i never would of tried if i had to pay for them, so thank you sony for the free games.

    It would be nice if every once in a while the ps plus games were actually real games. Even if it was only quarterly, it would be nice to have a blockbuster or two! Even if the games were a couple of years old, it would be fine with me. How about some popular games

    Seeing the PS+ lineups over the last few months continue to concrete my decision to get an Xbox One over a PS4. Less than a year ago I would have never said that. The continuous lack of games I’ve ever heard of or had any desire to play is hurting the service in my eyes. I’ll keep the service because I’m basically getting it free & it’s worth it to keep 6 years of games that would be ripped away otherwise (unlike GWG).

Its allready bad enough that sony charges to play ps4 online and they gives us a lot crappy plus games almost every month. But i think people are right cause i didnt bought a ps4 to play oldschool games i can do that in my cell phone. I think at least a good game should be im the lineup. Its really frustrating when we only get crap like this month…

    Want feedback? Here it is: I’m considering becoming a PS+ member but whats really stopping me is having missed the amazing games with which you began this service. Not ever being able to get stuff like infamous 2, gravity rush, bioshock inf, etc., really turns me down. No full budget games even from ps3.

    I’ve been a plus member since the ps4 launched, and I have to say that this might be the absolute worst lineup of games that I have lever seen for Plus members. I don’t usually complain, and I’m really not even doing that because I feel that the discounts offered and some of the titles we get for free are totally worth the price of admission, but man, these games look like they were made for children.

    Great. Anyway you see ps pluss. Getting 72 games inn a year for just 45 $ is great. U can’t expect to get AAA titles all the time at that price.

      This is true but we haven’t gotten any AAA games yet, and the issue most people have is that Xbox is consistently getting at least one major title, this month (March) is Lords of the Fallen.

    Tired of the **** indie games. Getting played out. The only reason i have plus , is i play bf4 online and uncharted 4 is coming out and i love uncharteds multiplayer. I liked rocket league fun game everything else has been ****. I Don’t own a nes anymore and i dont want to play those type of games. Sony please stop saying there free its not free games .

    Is it an old game? Yes, it is. But it’s extremely addictive and the gameplay is a blast. One of the hidden gems of the PSN library.

    I voted for BroForce and haven’t ever heard of Glack-Z.. I do have to admit though, when are we going to get some of the bigger games like Xbox has gotten? Yes yes, I know, the horror I have both systems.. Seriously though, I dig the indie titles, as they really help me expand and find great gems, but I’d love to play through something like Knack or Killzone Shadowfall, you know some of the bigger games like that.

    This month xbox is getting Lords of the Fallen and Crimes & Punishment for the One, with Borderlands and Supreme Commander for the 360. Can’t help but feel like they’re getting a better deal. Either way, I’m looking forward to trying out the games this month.

    Absolutely horrible lineup of games! These last 4 months or longer have been huge disappointments! King’s Quest Episode 1 was like the only great game worth mentioning and it’s only the first episode! Games like Grim Fandango Remastered, Beyond Good and Evil, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age Origins & SSX are truly great games, but I already purchased all of them years ago, except for Grim Fandango Remastered, which I bought during a sale only recently! Ugh! :( Get your act together Sony, I really regret resubscribing for another year at the moment, please start changing my mind!

    Free and discounted games are a privilege not a right. As an owner of both Xbox and PlayStation; Xbox offers older games and are cracking them out cause they’re trying to force sales. Be thankful you get anything month anyway.

    need more JRPGs and VN on ps vita. Virtue’s last reward was awesome (also played 999 and waiting for Zero escape 3). but we need more visual novels and jrpgs on ps vita because it’s like the only reason for owning that system

    Just want to add my 2 cents on something. It seems to be a big issue that the playlist is flooded with “indie” games. I agree. I would rather see more retail box titles. Here are some simple facts. Generally these “indie” games are free but they return to a normal price of $15 to $20 after the promotion. Do you know that over 50 PS4 games retail for less than $20 now? So it couldn’t be a cost issue from that perspective.

    It was awesome when we got Injustice as a game, but we have yet to see anything similar to that since. I’m with many users that it just feels like were being tossed whatever in hopes that a gem will come out of it knowing that most likely it wont. Of course we wont see AAA titles that retail for $40 to $60 would seem financially wrong, but if $20 games are the thing then whats wrong with The Order, Infamous Second Son, Alien Isolation, ect ect.

    Also i don’t know anything about Sony’s policies so this is purely an outside observation.

    Getting real sick of the Pi$$ poor selection of PS+ games that are being offered. Just frigging irritating if i want to let my subscription lapse and play out the games I have, as I wouldnt be able to play online with people. May just have to bite the bullet and go xBone. – much better beta games and ‘early access’ stuff going on. even if I wont use every other ‘home entertainment’ feature its gonna come with.

    PS really need to up the ante with showing appreciation for their fan base……

    What is this? What kind of name is Galak-Z? It makes no sense. when i first got my playstation I remember we got good games and we were all happy. Al;l of my friends were bragging about how good the free games were and now, no one even talks or even acknowledges them. Can we please start getting some good games playstation? Please.
